Definitions
- the present invention is a weather protection roof with an upper web formed from web elements.
- Weather protection roofs are known as temporary roofing for construction sites or events. These roofs consist of a truss structure comprising two or more roof trusses running parallel to one another and connected by transverse purlins and diagonal struts to absorb shear forces acting in the longitudinal direction of the roof trusses.
- Each roof truss is usually a truss girder, which often has a kink in a ridge area and has at least two chords, an upper and a lower chord, whereby one of the chords, usually the upper chord, has laterally running piping rails for pulling in the edge piping from the roof skin elements clamped between adjacent roof trusses.
- These truss roof structures are supported at the desired height in the eaves area using scaffolding or another support.
- EP 2 984 255 B1 suggests an assembly platform that is suspended along a roof truss using a supporting structure. This creates a working platform that runs at the height of a roof truss or below it along the roof truss.
- the international publication WO 2014/1832215 A1 discloses a suspended scaffold connector with a central backbone comprising an anchor connector on an upper and a lower connection piece for connecting a belt of a truss girder.
- One use proposed for this suspended scaffold connector is for constructing work platforms suspended below a ceiling or roof. For this purpose, several connectors are attached to the ceiling with anchors, the suspended connectors are connected by means of horizontally running truss girders or beams and cover platforms are placed on the top to create a continuous, walkable surface. Use above a roof to create walkability from above is not proposed.
- the disclosure document CA 2 508 598 A1 shows a scaffolding deck with a foldable mounting bracket on the underside.
- the published British patent application GB 2 382 614 A proposes a work platform attachable to a window sill or a projection, which comprises platform panels placed on parallel round profiles, wherein the platform panels are rectangular planks with support struts at both ends with a cross-section complementary to the round profiles.
- the object underlying the present invention is to create a way of making weather protection roofs of the known type described easily accessible from above, so that cleaning and assembly work can be carried out there even when the roof skin is clamped in place.
- a weather protection roof according to claim 1 which has an upper support web made of one or more web elements.
- the support web of the weather protection roof according to the invention is a web with a walking area, which is detachably attached to the top of the weather protection roof by means of support and fastening means.
- the walking area can have the shape of a rectangular plank defining a longitudinal direction, i.e. a wooden or metal board or grid that is significantly longer than it is wide, such as a covering used in scaffolding. It is also conceivable to design the walking area as a platform that does not have a clear preferred direction, i.e. is approximately as wide as it is long.
- the shape of the walking area is largely arbitrary within the scope of the present invention, and could also be polygonal, oval or round, but the rectangular shape is recommended due to the simplified manufacturability and improved modularity.
- the support bridge according to the invention can be constructed from several elements, each of which has its own walking area or walking area segment, for example a plank and its own support and fastening means. Individual elements can then be positioned on the top of the weather protection roof in such a way that they form a bridge of the desired size and course.
- a single web element is constructed in such a way that the walking area segment rests on or is attached to struts arranged on the underside and running parallel to the roof skin, whereby the struts have the fastening means necessary for a secure hold.
- These can take the form of end areas of the Struts or retaining claws attached to the underside, for example screwed or welded.
- a frequently used, preferred construction of a web element provides a walking area in the form of an elongated plank, which is supported on one or two cross braces attached near the end(s) of the plank.
- the support web of the weather protection roof according to the invention can run along a roof truss from the eaves to the middle of the roof, or in the case of a ridge roof, to the ridge.
- a web running from eaves to eaves along a roof truss can also be used, whereby in the case of a ridge roof, either a special element with a bent running area is used, or two separate webs are used, starting from the eaves and meeting at the ridge.
- the solution according to the invention of placing the web or web elements on top of the roof makes it possible, in contrast to the solutions known in the prior art, to use webs that do not run parallel to one of the half-timbered roof trusses, but at an angle (different from zero) to it.
- the web elements can be placed running across the roof trusses, for example along the eaves or along a ridge or even between them. Diagonal runs are also conceivable in principle. Such web runs could not be realized with the assembly webs proposed in the prior art, which are suspended from the side of the roof trusses by means of a supporting structure.
- a significant advantage of the present invention is that the web is mounted above the roof skin, thus creating safe access for work there, be it cleaning or clearing work on or on the top of the roof skin, be it assembly work on the weather protection roof itself or otherwise.
- a further advantage over the known solutions is that the support web according to the invention can be installed at any time before or after the roof skin is pulled in, whereas in the prior art a certain sequence must be observed if the web elements are to be brought into position by means of a crane.
- the support web of the weather roof according to the invention is preferably constructed from several elements which, when positioned together on the upper side of the roof, form the web with its desired course.
- a frequently used, preferred construction of a web element provides a walking area in the form of an elongated plank, which is supported on one or two cross braces attached near the end(s) of the plank.
- two planks of equal length, spaced apart from one another and running parallel to one another can be provided, which are attached to one or more correspondingly extended cross struts.
- the length of the walkway planks is preferably selected so that it is an integer fraction of the distance from eaves to eaves or from eaves to ridge of the weather protection roof according to the invention.
- the width of the web element which is essentially determined by the length of the cross braces, corresponds to the distance between two adjacent roof trusses. This allows the web elements to be suspended on the top chord of the roof trusses at their connection points with the transverse purlins or diagonal braces, so that the fastening elements of the web elements are supported both on the top chord and on the transverse purlins or diagonal braces. This enables the web elements to be supported in a stable, securely braced manner.
- the fastening means for hanging are attached or formed on the struts supporting the running area, in particular the cross struts supporting the longitudinal plank.
- the fastening means can consist of the end area of the struts being bent essentially at a right angle. This has the advantage of being easy to manufacture, but also enables It may not be possible to adapt the dimensions and relative distances of the fastening elements to the conditions of the weather protection roof, in particular the fixed points preferably used for hanging, namely the connection points between the top chord of the roof trusses and purlins or diagonal struts.
- retaining clips can be provided on the underside of the (cross) struts, for example by welding or screwing. These can also be designed in a cross shape so that they enclose a suspension point in the form of a connection point between two struts on all sides and thus enable securing or force transmission from the web to the truss structure in all directions of the tangential plane of the roof with just one fastening element.
- a railing can be provided on the edge of at least one side of the walking area. Safety is further improved by a railing on both or all sides.
- the cross struts of the web elements according to the invention have pipe connectors, preferably those in the form of hollow cylindrical connection pieces attached on the top, i.e. pointing away from the roof skin.
- the support web can be arranged in such a way that it runs parallel to one or more roof trusses. Alternatively, it can also be laid across them, for example along an eaves or a ridge. Several webs according to the invention can also be used, running parallel to one another or in different directions. The latter in particular allows a high degree of freedom of movement when working on the top of the weather protection roof according to the invention.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment of the invention of a support web element of the weather protection roof, which is fixed by fastening means in the shape of essentially right-angled end regions of two cross struts.
- Web element 2 consists of the gangway 21, which is fastened at its ends to the two cross struts 22.
- the cross struts 22 have end regions 220 bent at right angles as a means of fastening by hanging on the roof trusses and purlins or diagonal struts of the weather roof according to the invention.
- Figure 2 shows a perspective view of a second embodiment of a support web element of the weather protection roof according to the invention from the bottom center, in which the fastening means are holding claws connected to the end regions of the cross struts.
- the web element 2' largely corresponds to the first embodiment in its structure of a plank 21, which is placed and fastened with its two ends on a cross strut 22, but has U-shaped holding claws 225 as fastening means in place of bent end areas on the underside of the cross struts.
- the cross section of the cross struts is shown rectangular here, but is largely arbitrary within the scope of the present invention as long as the cross strut can provide the necessary load.
- cylindrical pipe connectors 24 are placed or molded onto which the struts of a railing can be inserted.
- the stiffening means 241 are provided to increase the bending rigidity of the connection between the pipe connectors 24 and the cross struts 22. They are arranged in pairs on diametrically opposite sides of the cylindrical pipe connector and preferably, as shown here, oriented along the longitudinal axis of the cross strut 22, since in this (transverse) direction the largest forces that are not otherwise diverted into the bridge and thus into the weather protection roof occur. This makes a railing attached to the pipe connector ideal as an anchor point or anchor structure for personal safety equipment (PPE) of the workers on the bridge.
- PPE personal safety equipment
- the stiffening means 241 can be designed as stiffening triangles, as shown here, with the legs connected to the pipe connector or the cross brace. Alternatively, a design as rod-shaped braces would also be conceivable.
- Figure 3 shows a perspective view of a third embodiment of a support web element of the weather protection roof according to the invention, which is designed as a double element with extended cross struts and two parallel planks attached thereto.
- the web element 2" of the third embodiment differs from that of the second by extended cross struts 22 and an additional plank 21, which is attached to the cross struts 22 parallel to the first and at a distance from it.
- the underside retaining claws 229 are used for fastening to the weather protection roof by hooking the retaining claws into suitable fixed points, such as the purlins or the connection points between the purlins and the upper chords of the roof trusses.
- the retaining claws here are L-shaped. This is sufficient because the wedging of the web element against displacement in the direction of the cross strut can be ensured jointly by both retaining claws, because the width of the web element 2" corresponds to the distance between adjacent roof trusses.
- the cross braces 22 of the web element 2" have pipe connectors 24 at both ends for connecting the posts of a railing 25.
- the connection between the pipe connectors 24 and the cross braces can be reinforced by stiffening means, such as the Figure 2 shown struts 241, in order to prepare the railing for the safe connection of personal safety equipment of the persons on the support bridge.
- Weather protection roof 1 comprises several, five are shown here, parallel spaced roof trusses 11, which are connected to form a truss structure via transverse purlins 13 and diagonal struts 14 that absorb shear forces.
- webs 2, 2' and 2" are made of web elements of the three embodiments from the Figures 1 - 3 hung up.
- the elements of the second and third embodiments run along the roof trusses.
- the lengths of the gangplanks each correspond to twice the distance between adjacent purlins.
- the width of the elements of web 2" made of elements of the third embodiment, which corresponds to the length of the crossbars there, corresponds to the distance between adjacent roof trusses 11, so that hanging on the upper chords of adjacent roof trusses is possible.
- the support in the direction of the roof slope or in the direction of the webs takes place on the purlins 13, whose connection points with the upper chords of the roof trusses 11 form the hanging points.
- the web elements according to the first embodiment with bent cross strut end areas as fastening means are combined to form a web 2 that runs perpendicular to the roof trusses 11, i.e. parallel to the purlins 13 and extends over two roof fields.
- Their length, or the distance between the front and rear cross strut corresponds to the distance between neighboring roof trusses, i.e. the length of a roof field, so that it is also possible to hang them in the connection points between roof trusses 11 and purlins 13.
- the individual web elements are thereby wedged in the directions parallel to the purlins 13 and downwards from the roof slope. Although there is no wedging in the upward direction of the roof, the dead weight of the web elements provides sufficient security.

Description
The present invention is a weather protection roof with an upper web formed from web elements.
Weather protection roofs are known as temporary roofing for construction sites or events. These roofs consist of a truss structure comprising two or more roof trusses running parallel to one another and connected by transverse purlins and diagonal struts to absorb shear forces acting in the longitudinal direction of the roof trusses. Each roof truss is usually a truss girder, which often has a kink in a ridge area and has at least two chords, an upper and a lower chord, whereby one of the chords, usually the upper chord, has laterally running piping rails for pulling in the edge piping from the roof skin elements clamped between adjacent roof trusses. These truss roof structures are supported at the desired height in the eaves area using scaffolding or another support.
In addition to the two-chord roofs, there are also weather protection roofs with three-chord roof trusses, in which the keder rails are not supported in front of the upper chord, but by a central chord running largely parallel to the upper and lower chords, so that the upper chords of the roof trusses are finished weather protection roof run above the roof skin and protrude beyond it.
One problem that arises when using such weather protection roofs is that work often has to be carried out in the roof area. This can be assembly work for erecting or dismantling the roof itself or routine maintenance or cleaning work.
The disadvantage here is that this mounting bridge also necessarily runs underneath the roof skin due to its side-mounted fastening and therefore the top of the roof skin is not directly accessible. However, this would be very desirable, for example for cleaning or snow clearing work or for assembly work on the weather protection roof itself when the roof skin is clamped in place.

The object underlying the present invention is to create a way of making weather protection roofs of the known type described easily accessible from above, so that cleaning and assembly work can be carried out there even when the roof skin is clamped in place.
This object is achieved by a weather protection roof according to claim 1, which has an upper support web made of one or more web elements.
The support web of the weather protection roof according to the invention is a web with a walking area, which is detachably attached to the top of the weather protection roof by means of support and fastening means.
The walking area can have the shape of a rectangular plank defining a longitudinal direction, i.e. a wooden or metal board or grid that is significantly longer than it is wide, such as a covering used in scaffolding. It is also conceivable to design the walking area as a platform that does not have a clear preferred direction, i.e. is approximately as wide as it is long. The shape of the walking area is largely arbitrary within the scope of the present invention, and could also be polygonal, oval or round, but the rectangular shape is recommended due to the simplified manufacturability and improved modularity.
The support bridge according to the invention can be constructed from several elements, each of which has its own walking area or walking area segment, for example a plank and its own support and fastening means. Individual elements can then be positioned on the top of the weather protection roof in such a way that they form a bridge of the desired size and course.
A single web element is constructed in such a way that the walking area segment rests on or is attached to struts arranged on the underside and running parallel to the roof skin, whereby the struts have the fastening means necessary for a secure hold. These can take the form of end areas of the Struts or retaining claws attached to the underside, for example screwed or welded.
A frequently used, preferred construction of a web element provides a walking area in the form of an elongated plank, which is supported on one or two cross braces attached near the end(s) of the plank.
The support web of the weather protection roof according to the invention can run along a roof truss from the eaves to the middle of the roof, or in the case of a ridge roof, to the ridge. A web running from eaves to eaves along a roof truss can also be used, whereby in the case of a ridge roof, either a special element with a bent running area is used, or two separate webs are used, starting from the eaves and meeting at the ridge.
However, the solution according to the invention of placing the web or web elements on top of the roof makes it possible, in contrast to the solutions known in the prior art, to use webs that do not run parallel to one of the half-timbered roof trusses, but at an angle (different from zero) to it. For example, the web elements can be placed running across the roof trusses, for example along the eaves or along a ridge or even between them. Diagonal runs are also conceivable in principle. Such web runs could not be realized with the assembly webs proposed in the prior art, which are suspended from the side of the roof trusses by means of a supporting structure.
However, a significant advantage of the present invention is that the web is mounted above the roof skin, thus creating safe access for work there, be it cleaning or clearing work on or on the top of the roof skin, be it assembly work on the weather protection roof itself or otherwise.
A further advantage over the known solutions is that the support web according to the invention can be installed at any time before or after the roof skin is pulled in, whereas in the prior art a certain sequence must be observed if the web elements are to be brought into position by means of a crane.
In the following, further advantageous embodiments of the present invention are presented, which can be combined with one another in a suitable manner, provided that they do not obviously exclude one another.
The support web of the weather roof according to the invention is preferably constructed from several elements which, when positioned together on the upper side of the roof, form the web with its desired course.
A frequently used, preferred construction of a web element provides a walking area in the form of an elongated plank, which is supported on one or two cross braces attached near the end(s) of the plank.
Alternatively, two planks of equal length, spaced apart from one another and running parallel to one another can be provided, which are attached to one or more correspondingly extended cross struts. The length of the walkway planks is preferably selected so that it is an integer fraction of the distance from eaves to eaves or from eaves to ridge of the weather protection roof according to the invention. As a result, the distance from eaves to ridge or from eaves to eaves can be completely overcome by means of a web made of similar elements, without any significant gaps remaining, for example in the area of the ridge between two partial webs that abut there or at the eaves between an access scaffold and the start of the support web.
The width of the web element, which is essentially determined by the length of the cross braces, corresponds to the distance between two adjacent roof trusses.
The fastening means for hanging are attached or formed on the struts supporting the running area, in particular the cross struts supporting the longitudinal plank. The fastening means can consist of the end area of the struts being bent essentially at a right angle.
Alternatively or additionally, retaining clips can be provided on the underside of the (cross) struts, for example by welding or screwing. These can also be designed in a cross shape so that they enclose a suspension point in the form of a connection point between two struts on all sides and thus enable securing or force transmission from the web to the truss structure in all directions of the tangential plane of the roof with just one fastening element. For safety reasons, a railing can be provided on the edge of at least one side of the walking area. Safety is further improved by a railing on both or all sides. For this purpose, the cross struts of the web elements according to the invention have pipe connectors, preferably those in the form of hollow cylindrical connection pieces attached on the top, i.e. pointing away from the roof skin.
The support web can be arranged in such a way that it runs parallel to one or more roof trusses. Alternatively, it can also be laid across them, for example along an eaves or a ridge. Several webs according to the invention can also be used, running parallel to one another or in different directions. The latter in particular allows a high degree of freedom of movement when working on the top of the weather protection roof according to the invention.

The web element 2' according to the second embodiment largely corresponds to the first embodiment in its structure of a
The

The elements of the second and third embodiments run along the roof trusses.
