Definitions
- the present invention relates to a bed that can be set up on a floor and a bed system as well as a kit for assembling the bed or the bed system.
- the bed is a baby and child's bed and the bed system is a twin or multiple bed.
- Typical single bed constructions are usually based on a substantially rectangular bed frame with two shorter head and foot sections and two longer side sections arranged between them, which together surround a lying area suitable for sleeping.
- a mattress pad for example a slatted frame, is usually arranged within the bed frame in order to carry a mattress as a sleeping pad.
- the bed frame is usually supported by several legs, on the one hand to ensure a safe stand and on the other hand to adapt the lying area to an ergonomic and comfortable entry and exit height.
- Double and multiple beds differ in the construction of single beds mainly in the size of the lying area, while the general structure usually has the same characteristics as a single bed.
- the main disadvantage of the known beds is a lack of flexibility in the structural design.
- parents of twins or multiple births usually have to choose between an expensive and sometimes space-consuming twin bed and the purchase of two single beds, which may have to be laboriously converted into a twin bed and in this form either do not meet the necessary safety requirements or have to be irreversibly modified so that a dismantling to a single bed with the original appearance is no longer possible with the original set of parts.
- this problem is usually solved by making multiple purchases.
- twins are initially housed together in a twin bed in the first months or years of life. If the children's sleeping habits develop differently at a later point in time, the twin bed is replaced by two separate single beds. Such multiple purchases are, however, unfavorable from an economic and ecological point of view.
- one object of the present invention is to provide a bed and an associated bed system or a kit therefor which offer the possibility of modifying a single bed into a double or multiple bed or the double or multiple bed back into a single bed.
- one object of the present invention is to provide a baby and children's bed or a corresponding bed system that combines different types of construction from an extra bed to a twin or multiple bed and in this way can be flexibly adapted to the development and sleeping needs of babies or children so that the service life and sustainability are improved compared to conventional bed constructions.
- the invention in principle can be an adult bed or a baby and children's bed.
- the bed is preferably a baby and children's bed.
- the bed comprises a bed attachment with preferably at least one head part, at least one foot part, at least one first side part and / or at least one second side part, which together at least partially surround a lying area suitable for sleeping.
- the bed according to the invention has a support frame which is modularly constructed with a plurality of support elements and on which the bed attachment can be placed or placed. Due to the modular structure, the carrier frame can be adapted or modified, for example by adding and / or replacing a carrier element or several carrier elements, to or for an enlargement of the lying area.
- the present invention is based, inter alia, on the idea of separating the frame and support elements of conventional bed constructions from one another in order to obtain more flexibility in the construction and possible uses of a bed.
- the structural and structural separation of the bed attachment and the support frame creates an essential prerequisite for a bed according to the invention to be easily convertible and thus enables an uncomplicated change between different construction variants.
- This inventive concept is complemented by the modular structure of the support frame in that support elements can be exchanged and / or supplemented as required, in particular to enlarge the support frame and, for example, to set it up to accommodate an additional second bed attachment.
- the carrier frame can be constructed from the same or different carrier elements, which are preferably releasably connected or connectable to one another.
- at least two of the support elements of the support frame are designed as longitudinal beams, while at least one further of the support elements is designed as a cross member arranged at least partially between the longitudinal beams.
- at least two of the support elements of the support frame are designed as longitudinal supports and at least two further support elements as transverse supports arranged at least partially between the longitudinal supports.
- at least one of the two longitudinal members is releasably connected or connectable to the cross member or the cross members as well as to the further longitudinal member.
- both the two longitudinal members with the two cross members and the two longitudinal members to one another and / or the two cross members to one another are releasably connected or connectable.
- the respective connection that is to say the longitudinal member / longitudinal member, longitudinal member / cross member or cross member / cross member, is, according to the invention, a direct connection.
- the mutual connectivity ensures that the carrier elements can be connected to one another in a variety of ways to form different carrier frames of different sizes and / or geometries.
- a first connection component of a first connection system is arranged on one of the two longitudinal members, which connects this longitudinal member to a second connection component of the first connection system arranged on the cross member in a releasable manner or is designed for establishing this connection
- a first connection component on the cross member Connection component of a second connection system is arranged, which releasably connects the cross member to a second connection component of the second connection system arranged on the other of the two longitudinal members or is designed to establish this connection, the first connection component of the first connection system being releasable with the second connection component of the second connection system is connectable.
- the first connection component of the second connection system can also be connected to the second connection component of the first Connection system be releasably connectable. It is thereby achieved that not only longitudinal members and cross members, but also longitudinal members and longitudinal members can be connected.
- a connection is releasable if the connection can be released again without damaging the components.
- Suitable releasable connections which also include, for example, screw connections and connections with bolts and pins, are known to the person skilled in the art.
- a releasable connection contains a form-fitting connection which is created by the interlocking of at least two connection partners, for example the first and second connection components of the first and / or second or further connection system.
- a releasable connection can comprise a connection fitting, for example with an eccentric and bolt.
- first and second connection components of the first and second connection system or further connection systems can also be present on the side members in order to connect the side members to another cross member in an analogous manner.
- a second connection component of the second connection system is additionally arranged on one of the two side members and a first connection component of the first connection system is also arranged on the other of the two side members, so that both side members each have a first connection component of the first connection system and a second connection component of the second connection system.
- each of the two longitudinal members can be releasably connected to each of the two cross members either via the first and second connection components of the first connection system or via the first and second connection components of the second connection system.
- the support frame can be designed to be continuously connected to the two longitudinal members and the two cross members or to be continuously connectable be, whereby a particularly simple and at the same time particularly stable structure of the bed is achieved.
- first connection system and the second connection system are designed identically.
- first and the second connection system can be the same connection system, so that the longitudinal members and the cross member (s) each have a first and a second connection component of a single connection system. This simplifies the structure and ensures flexible handling of the support frame or frame.
- the cross member (s) are made shorter compared to the longitudinal members, the longitudinal members preferably each having a length which corresponds to at least, substantially or exactly twice the length of the cross member or the cross member.
- the cross members are preferably substantially or exactly the same length.
- the longitudinal members are preferably substantially or exactly the same length.
- the lying surface can then be essentially or exactly twice as large as that of a single bed. This configuration is of course particularly useful for building a double bed from two single beds.
- the at least one head part and the at least one foot part have a width which essentially or exactly corresponds to the length of the cross member.
- the lying area preferably has a width which essentially or exactly corresponds to the width of the at least one head part and the at least one foot part.
- the lying area preferably has a length which essentially or exactly corresponds to the length of the longitudinal beams. Due to these dimensional relationships, the bed attachment and the support frame are matched to one another in such a way that the support frame, when replacing the cross member or the cross member with additional longitudinal members, can be conveniently adapted to accommodate a second one Bed attachment is adapted. This makes it possible to easily enlarge the lying area from a single bed to a double bed or twin bed.
- the longitudinal beams can, for example, have a length of 180 cm to 220 cm, preferably 190 cm to 210 cm, in the case of a baby or children's bed, in particular a length of 100 cm to 140 cm, preferably 110 to 130 cm.
- the longitudinal beams are particularly preferably 200 cm long, and 120 cm in the case of a baby or children's bed.
- the cross member (s) can have a length of 90 cm to 110 cm, in particular a length of 50 cm to 70 cm in the case of a baby or child's bed.
- the cross member or members have a length of 100 cm, in the case of a baby or children's bed, a length of 60 cm.
- the head part and the foot part can have a width of 90 cm to 110 cm, preferably 100 cm, in the case of a baby or children's bed, in particular a width of 50 cm to 70 cm, preferably 60 cm.
- the lying area can have a length of 180 cm to 220 cm, preferably 190 cm to 210 cm, particularly preferably 200 cm and / or a width of 90 cm to 110 cm, preferably 100 cm.
- the lying area can have a length of 100 cm to 140 cm, preferably 110 cm to 130 cm, particularly preferably 120 cm and / or a width of 50 cm to 70 cm, preferably 60 cm.
- the first and / or second side part preferably has a length which protrudes beyond the lying area and in particular ends flush with the head part and / or foot part.
- the at least one head part, the at least one foot part and the at least one first and / or the at least one second side part form a downwardly extending receiving area of the bed, that is, in the erected state of the bed in the direction of the floor Bed attachment, in which the support frame is at least partially received or received.
- the receiving area preferably has an inner contour which is at least partially complementary to an outer contour of the support frame, so that the support frame is at least partially or completely fitted or can be fitted into the bed attachment. This has the advantage that a stable connection between the bed attachment and the support frame is achieved.
- the bed attachment and the support frame can also be easily connected with this type of connection are separated from each other again without having to detach the connection between separate connecting means. Rather, the bed attachment can simply be lifted off the support frame. An advantageous flexibility is thus retained, which ensures an uncomplicated construction and conversion of the bed according to the invention.
- the at least one head part and the at least one foot part are preferably arranged on an inner surface of the at least one first side part and / or the at least one second side part facing the lying area and are preferably releasably connected or connectable to this.
- the at least one head part and the at least one foot part can be arranged between the first and the second side part and can each be releasably connected or connected to them.
- the head and foot sections can therefore also be set up so that they can be releasably connected not only to the first and / or second side section, but also to a further head section or to a further foot section.
- head and / or foot parts can have connecting means which are designed both for establishing the releasable connection with the first and / or second side part and for establishing the releasable connection with a further head part or a further foot part.
- the side parts are usually arranged between the head and foot parts. This means that when converting two conventional beds into a double or twin bed, for example, there is usually a gap between their joined lying areas. This can not only have a disadvantageous effect on the lying comfort, but also represent a safety risk, especially in the case of twin beds.
- the at least one head part and the at least one foot part each have at least one holding element on their mutually facing inner surfaces, with which the bed attachment can be placed or placed on the support frame.
- the holding elements regulate the distance which the bed attachment occupies from the floor when the bed is in the erected state.
- they serve Retaining elements as a stabilizer by securing the bed attachment against tilting or slipping on the support frame.
- the holding elements can additionally at least partially form a support for a mattress pad that can be inserted into the bed attachment.
- the holding elements can have an underside facing the carrier frame and an upper side facing away from the carrier frame, the underside being at least partially attachable or placed on the carrier frame and the upper side at least partially forming a support for the mattress pad.
- the at least one head part and the at least one foot part on the inner surfaces in addition to the respective holding element, each have at least one receiving element for receiving the mattress base, which is arranged in relation to the carrier frame above the holding element or the holding elements and, in particular in the case of a baby or children's bed, is preferably height-adjustable.
- the ergonomics and comfort of the bed are improved, for example through individually adjustable entry and exit heights.
- the possibility is created to adjust the height of the lying surface to that of the parent's bed and thus set up the baby and children's bed according to the invention as an additional bed and / or increase the comfort when lying down or removing the baby or child , since excessive stooping can be omitted.
- the mattress base can be designed as a slatted frame or bed base, for example.
- the mattress base is preferably designed as a, in particular one-piece, bed base.
- the bed base is preferably at least partially fitted or adaptable into the bed attachment, that is to say has essentially or precisely the dimensions of the lying area. This has the advantage that the bed base is additionally stabilized and kept in shape by the bed base. Suitable and preferred dimensions of the bed base thus correspond to those of the lying area, so that reference can be made to the above statements in this regard.
- the bed base can have several, in particular round or circular, openings which, on the one hand, serve for ventilation and, on the other hand, make it easier to insert the bed base into the bed attachment.
- the holding elements are arranged on the inner surfaces of the head part and foot part in such a way that the distance between the underside of the holding elements and the lower edge of the bed attachment essentially or exactly corresponds to the thickness of the bed base.
- the carrier elements at least partially, in particular at least the longitudinal members, have floor contact areas via which the carrier frame is mechanically connected to the floor in the erected state of the bed.
- all of the carrier elements in particular both the longitudinal members and the cross member (s), have such ground contact areas. This ensures that the carrier frame can be set up stably on the floor in various combinations of carrier elements, in particular both a carrier frame formed from longitudinal members and cross members and a carrier frame formed solely from longitudinal members, and securely supports the bed attachment.
- the ground contact areas can be designed, for example, in the form of legs, which are preferably each arranged in the two end areas of a carrier element, in particular in the two respective end areas of the longitudinal members or the cross member or the cross member.
- the carrier elements or the longitudinal members and / or the cross member (s) are each formed in one piece together with the two legs and can therefore in particular have a runner shape. This has the advantage that no additional connection between the legs and the support elements is required, which increases the stability of the construction and considerably simplifies the assembly and conversion of the support frame.
- Such skid-shaped support elements are made of wood, for example by CNC milling or plywood, in particular from multi-layer veneer plywood panels, so-called multiplex panels, can be produced.
- the at least one first side part and / or the at least one second side part has a fastening means for receiving an insert such as a fall-out protection, which prevents or at least hinders falling out of the lying area while sleeping.
- an insert such as a fall-out protection
- the at least one first side part and / or the at least one second side part can have an upwardly open recess in the middle for easier access to the lying area, which is designed to accommodate the insert.
- the first and / or second side part can have an upwardly open U-shape, which is at least partially closed by receiving the insert or fall-out protection.
- the invention in a second aspect, relates to a bed system, in particular a twin or multiple bed, which can be formed from at least a first and a second bed as described above.
- the bed extension of the first bed and the bed extension of the second bed are arranged next to each other on a carrier frame, which is at least partially with the carrier elements of the first bed and at least partially with the carrier elements of the second bed, or can be put on, so that the bed extensions of the first and second beds come together at least partially surround a continuous lying area suitable for sleeping.
- the bed attachment of the first and second bed can each include the head part, the foot part and one of the side parts, the bed parts being arranged on the support frame in such a way that the two sides face each other without a side part and this results in the continuous lying area.
- the first and the second bed are identical.
- the support frame of the bed system is constructed or can be constructed with the two longitudinal supports of the first bed and the two longitudinal supports of the second bed, which are releasably connected or can be connected to one another. Due to the geometry already described above for the first aspect of the invention, such a support frame is adapted directly to the accommodation of two bed attachments and thus ensures a particularly simple and stable arrangement of the bed attachments and a correspondingly secure construction of the bed system. Alternatively, it is due to the Dimensional proportions also possible that the support frame of the bed system, for example, with two longitudinal members and four cross members is or can be built up in order to set up the support frame to accommodate two bed attachments. Further possible combinations of the carrier elements are readily apparent to a person skilled in the art on the basis of the present invention.
- the bed attachments of the first and second beds are preferably releasably connectable or connected to one another at the head parts and / or the foot parts, in particular in abutment.
- the combination of the connection and the dead weight of the bed add-ons gives the bed system additional stability and is reliably secured against slipping or shaking.
- the invention relates to a kit for a bed according to the first aspect of the invention or for a bed system according to the second aspect of the invention.
- the kit comprises at least one head part, at least one foot part, at least one first side part and / or at least one second side part for the construction of the bed attachment and several support elements for the modular construction of the support frame.
- the carrier elements comprise at least two longitudinal members and at least two transverse members according to the above statements on the first and second aspect of the invention.

- at least one insert for example at least one fall-out protection and / or at least one full insert, and / or at least two mattress pads, for example two bed bases, can also be included.
- the individual elements which are provided for the bed or the bed system are expediently at least partially or not all connected but can be connected in order to form the bed or bed system.
- the corresponding connecting means such as the first and / or second connecting system and / or the fastening means can be contained in the kit and at least partially or completely arranged on the corresponding elements or components.
- the connection means in the kit can be present at least partially or completely separately from the corresponding elements or components.
- a fourth aspect of the invention relates to a use of a kit according to the third aspect of the invention for producing a bed and / or for producing a bed system according to the first or the second aspect of the invention.
- kits according to the third aspect of the invention and the use according to the fourth aspect of the invention correspond, as far as applicable, to those of the bed according to the first aspect of the invention.
- Features that are disclosed above and below for the bed can therefore also relate to the bed system, the kit and the use, and vice versa.
- FIG. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a bed 1 according to the invention in a preferred variant as a baby and children's bed.
- the bed 1 has a bed attachment 2 with a head part 4, a foot part 6, a first side part 8 and a second side part 10, which together surround a lying area 12.

- Figure 2 represents the structure of the support frame 20 from the in Figure 1
- the support frame 20 is made up of four support elements 21a, 21b, 22a and 22b, each of which is designed as two longer longitudinal supports 21a, 21b and two shorter transverse supports 22a, 22b.
- the longitudinal members 21a, 21b can have a length of 1200 mm and a height of 224 mm, for example, the cross members 22a, 22b a length of 600 mm and also a height of 224 mm.
- the carrier elements 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b each point in their two End areas formed by legs on ground contact areas 23 with which the support frame 20 can be set up on a floor.
- the Figure 2 not all ground contact areas 23 are provided with a reference number.
- the carrier elements 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b and ground contact areas 23 are preferred, as in FIG Figure 2 shown, formed in a one-piece runner shape.
- Such runners can be made from multiplex panels using CNC milling, for example.
- a plate thickness suitable for the baby and children's bed is, for example, 19 mm.
- the one-piece design has the advantage that the structure of the support frame 20 is considerably simplified compared to a multi-piece design and the stability of the support frame 20 is improved.
- Figure 2 further shows that the longitudinal members 21a, 21b and cross members 22a, 22b can be connected to one another via a first releasable connection system 24 and a second releasable connection system 25.
- a first connection component 24a of the first connection system 24 on one of the longitudinal beams 21a can be releasably connected to a second connection component 24b of the first connection system 24 on one of the transverse beams 22a.
- a first connection component 25a of the second connection system 25 on this cross member 22a can be releasably connected to a second connection component 25b of the second connection system 25 on the second of the longitudinal members 21b.
- the two longitudinal members 21a, 21b can also be releasably connected to the other of the cross members 22b via further first and second connection components 24a, 24b and further first and second connection components 25a, 25b of the first and second connection system 24, 25.
- the first connection component 24a of the first connection system 24 can be releasably connected to the second connection component 25b of the second connection system 25.
- the first connection component 25a of the second connection system 25 can be releasably connected to the second connection component 24b of the first connection system 24.
- a simple and preferred way of ensuring the mutual connectability of the carrier elements 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b is that, as in the enlargements of the Figure 2 shown, the same connection system as the first and second connection system 24, 25 is used.
- a a suitable first and / or second connection system 24, 25 is, for example, the Clamex P-10 connector (Lamello GmbH Connection Technology, Lörrach, Germany).
- the carrier elements 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b preferably have a miter in the area of the connecting components 24a, 24b, 25a, 25b, at which the carrier elements 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b can be joined together. This further simplifies the mutual connectivity of the carrier elements 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b.
- FIG 3 is the construction of the bed attachment 2 in a preliminary stage of in Figure 1 shown embodiment of the bed 1 according to the invention shown in more detail.
- the head part 4 and the foot part 6 are arranged between the two side parts 8, 10 and are connected to them in abutment.
- This has the advantage that, after removing one of the side parts 8, 10, two bed attachments 2 can be joined together in such a way that their lying areas 12 are directly adjacent to one another and can form a continuous lying area.
- the bed attachment 2 can also be formed with only one of the side parts 8, 10.
- the bed 1 according to the invention is suitable, for example, as an add-on bed.
- On the mutually facing inner sides 15 of the head part 4 and of the foot part 6 there is in each case a holding element 14a, 14b with which the bed attachment 2 can be placed on the support frame 20.
- the head part 4 and foot part 6 can be releasably connected or connected to the side parts 8, 10, for example by means of body connectors 16.
- Releasable interlocking body connectors 16 such as the one in the enlargement of Figure 3
- the eccentric connectors shown are particularly useful in this regard.
- Minifix-15 system with bolts and connector housing (Häfele GmbH & Co KG, Nagold, Germany) is suitable.
- the geometrical and dimensional configurations of the head part 4, foot part 6 and side parts 8, 10 are not particularly limited, provided they surround a lying area 12 suitable for sleeping.
- the head and foot sections 4, 6 can, for example, have a width of 600 mm, a height of 700 mm and a thickness of 19 mm.
- the side parts 8, 10 can have a length of 1238 mm, a height of 700 mm and a thickness of 19 mm. In this way, the side parts 8, 10 flush with the head and foot parts 4, 6 arranged between them.

- the bed extension 2 As in FIG Figure 4 indicated by the vertical arrows, placed on the support frame 20.
- the head part 4, foot part 6 and side parts 8, 10 form a receiving area 18 of the bed attachment 2 which extends downward in the direction of the floor and in which the support frame 20 can be received.
- the inner contour 19 of the receiving area 18 indicated by the dashed line is complementary to the outer contour 28 of the support frame 20 indicated by the dotted line, so that the support frame 20 can be fitted into the bed attachment 2 in a form-fitting manner.
- the holding elements 14a, 14b serve as spacers and stabilizers. In this way, a simple and at the same time stable and secure connection between bed attachment 2 and support frame 20 is achieved.
- additional fastening means such as metal fittings for connecting the bed attachment 2 and the support frame 20 can be dispensed with.
- Figure 4 also shows that a mattress base 30 can then be inserted into the bed attachment 2 from above, the holding elements 14a, 14b in the example shown simultaneously forming a support for the mattress base 30.
- the mattress pad 30 is designed as a bed base that precisely fills the lying area 15. This has the advantage that the bed attachment 2 is additionally stabilized and kept in shape by the precisely fitting manufacture of the bed base. Openings 31 in the bed base, which are designed as air holes, promote ventilation and also facilitate the insertion of the bed base into the bed attachment 2 or the later removal of the bed base from the bed attachment 2 when converting the bed 1.
- the Figures 5A and 5B show another preliminary stage of the in Figure 1 Embodiment of the bed 1 according to the invention shown or a further variant of a baby and children's bed 1 according to the invention with a bed attachment 2 placed on the support frame 20 and an inserted mattress pad 30, the reference numerals of the other elements of bed attachment 2 and support frame 20 being omitted for the sake of clarity .
- An insert 41a is received in each of the recesses in the U-shaped side parts 8, 10 and is fastened to the side parts 8, 10 via fastening means 40.

Description
The present invention relates to a bed that can be set up on a floor and a bed system as well as a kit for assembling the bed or the bed system. In particular, but not exclusively, the bed is a baby and child's bed and the bed system is a twin or multiple bed.
Double and multiple beds differ in the construction of single beds mainly in the size of the lying area, while the general structure usually has the same characteristics as a single bed.
In principle, the same basic elements can also be found in cots and children's beds, although these are often equipped with additional functions and safety features due to legal provisions. This is the only way to ensure that sleeping and playing in bed is safe for babies and children. In particular, certain minimum and maximum values must be adhered to with regard to the distances between components and the diameter of openings so that babies and small children cannot become trapped or fall out of bed. In addition, the structure should be free of columns and protruding or removable small parts. Further requirements are known to the specialist from the relevant standards such as DIN EN 716-1: 2008, DIN EN A1: 2013, DIN EN 71-1: 2011, DIN EN 71-3: 2002 and DIN EN 716-2: 2008 .
The main disadvantage of the known beds is a lack of flexibility in the structural design. In general, there is no simple way of converting single beds into double or multiple beds, and vice versa, depending on changing space conditions and individual sleeping needs. For example, parents of twins or multiple births usually have to choose between an expensive and sometimes space-consuming twin bed and the purchase of two single beds, which may have to be laboriously converted into a twin bed and in this form either do not meet the necessary safety requirements or have to be irreversibly modified so that a dismantling to a single bed with the original appearance is no longer possible with the original set of parts. Alternatively, this problem is usually solved by making multiple purchases. For example, because of their special need for closeness, twins are initially housed together in a twin bed in the first months or years of life. If the children's sleeping habits develop differently at a later point in time, the twin bed is replaced by two separate single beds. Such multiple purchases are, however, unfavorable from an economic and ecological point of view.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a bed and an associated bed system or a kit therefor which offer the possibility of modifying a single bed into a double or multiple bed or the double or multiple bed back into a single bed. In particular, one object of the present invention is to provide a baby and children's bed or a corresponding bed system that combines different types of construction from an extra bed to a twin or multiple bed and in this way can be flexibly adapted to the development and sleeping needs of babies or children so that the service life and sustainability are improved compared to conventional bed constructions.
These objects are achieved by the subjects of the independent claims. Further design options and preferred embodiments emerge from the dependent claims.
In a first aspect, the invention relates to a bed, which in principle can be an adult bed or a baby and children's bed. The bed is preferably a baby and children's bed. The bed comprises a bed attachment with preferably at least one head part, at least one foot part, at least one first side part and / or at least one second side part, which together at least partially surround a lying area suitable for sleeping. In addition to the bed attachment, the bed according to the invention has a support frame which is modularly constructed with a plurality of support elements and on which the bed attachment can be placed or placed. Due to the modular structure, the carrier frame can be adapted or modified, for example by adding and / or replacing a carrier element or several carrier elements, to or for an enlargement of the lying area.
The present invention is based, inter alia, on the idea of separating the frame and support elements of conventional bed constructions from one another in order to obtain more flexibility in the construction and possible uses of a bed. The structural and structural separation of the bed attachment and the support frame creates an essential prerequisite for a bed according to the invention to be easily convertible and thus enables an uncomplicated change between different construction variants. This inventive concept is complemented by the modular structure of the support frame in that support elements can be exchanged and / or supplemented as required, in particular to enlarge the support frame and, for example, to set it up to accommodate an additional second bed attachment. In combination, these features result in an advantageous modular principle, which enables a flexible change between different construction options of the bed according to the invention, in particular with regard to the changing sleep needs of an adolescent baby or child. In this regard, reference is also made to the following explanations, from which the many different variants made possible by the modular structure become clear. In this way, among other things, a longer useful life of the bed according to the invention is achieved compared with conventionally constructed beds. Multiple purchases can therefore be made, especially in the first Years of life can be avoided. This saves resources and contributes to more economic and ecological sustainability.
The carrier frame can be constructed from the same or different carrier elements, which are preferably releasably connected or connectable to one another. According to the invention, at least two of the support elements of the support frame are designed as longitudinal beams, while at least one further of the support elements is designed as a cross member arranged at least partially between the longitudinal beams. In a preferred embodiment, at least two of the support elements of the support frame are designed as longitudinal supports and at least two further support elements as transverse supports arranged at least partially between the longitudinal supports. According to the invention, at least one of the two longitudinal members is releasably connected or connectable to the cross member or the cross members as well as to the further longitudinal member. Particularly preferably, both the two longitudinal members with the two cross members and the two longitudinal members to one another and / or the two cross members to one another are releasably connected or connectable. The respective connection, that is to say the longitudinal member / longitudinal member, longitudinal member / cross member or cross member / cross member, is, according to the invention, a direct connection. The mutual connectivity ensures that the carrier elements can be connected to one another in a variety of ways to form different carrier frames of different sizes and / or geometries.
According to the invention, it is provided that a first connection component of a first connection system is arranged on one of the two longitudinal members, which connects this longitudinal member to a second connection component of the first connection system arranged on the cross member in a releasable manner or is designed for establishing this connection, and a first connection component on the cross member Connection component of a second connection system is arranged, which releasably connects the cross member to a second connection component of the second connection system arranged on the other of the two longitudinal members or is designed to establish this connection, the first connection component of the first connection system being releasable with the second connection component of the second connection system is connectable. Alternatively or additionally, the first connection component of the second connection system can also be connected to the second connection component of the first Connection system be releasably connectable. It is thereby achieved that not only longitudinal members and cross members, but also longitudinal members and longitudinal members can be connected.
As the term is used here, a connection is releasable if the connection can be released again without damaging the components. Suitable releasable connections, which also include, for example, screw connections and connections with bolts and pins, are known to the person skilled in the art. In a preferred embodiment, a releasable connection contains a form-fitting connection which is created by the interlocking of at least two connection partners, for example the first and second connection components of the first and / or second or further connection system. In particular, a releasable connection can comprise a connection fitting, for example with an eccentric and bolt.
Of course, further first and second connection components of the first and second connection system or further connection systems, for example a third and / or fourth connection system, can also be present on the side members in order to connect the side members to another cross member in an analogous manner. Corresponding configurations are readily apparent to a person skilled in the art on the basis of the present invention. Preferably, a second connection component of the second connection system is additionally arranged on one of the two side members and a first connection component of the first connection system is also arranged on the other of the two side members, so that both side members each have a first connection component of the first connection system and a second connection component of the second connection system. Alternatively or additionally, there are two cross members, on each of which a second connection component of the first connection system and a first connection component of the second connection system are arranged. As a result, the side members can be connected to one another via the first connection component of the first connection system and the second connection component of the second connection system. In addition, each of the two longitudinal members can be releasably connected to each of the two cross members either via the first and second connection components of the first connection system or via the first and second connection components of the second connection system. In this way, the support frame can be designed to be continuously connected to the two longitudinal members and the two cross members or to be continuously connectable be, whereby a particularly simple and at the same time particularly stable structure of the bed is achieved.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the first connection system and the second connection system are designed identically. In other words, the first and the second connection system can be the same connection system, so that the longitudinal members and the cross member (s) each have a first and a second connection component of a single connection system. This simplifies the structure and ensures flexible handling of the support frame or frame.
In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the cross member (s) are made shorter compared to the longitudinal members, the longitudinal members preferably each having a length which corresponds to at least, substantially or exactly twice the length of the cross member or the cross member. In this way, it is possible to expand the carrier frame formed from longitudinal members and cross members or cross members by simply replacing the cross member or cross members with one or more additional longitudinal members in an uncomplicated manner and with a few simple steps to double the size. The cross members are preferably substantially or exactly the same length. The longitudinal members are preferably substantially or exactly the same length. The lying surface can then be essentially or exactly twice as large as that of a single bed. This configuration is of course particularly useful for building a double bed from two single beds.
In this context, it is also advantageous if the at least one head part and the at least one foot part have a width which essentially or exactly corresponds to the length of the cross member. Alternatively or in addition, the lying area preferably has a width which essentially or exactly corresponds to the width of the at least one head part and the at least one foot part. In addition, the lying area preferably has a length which essentially or exactly corresponds to the length of the longitudinal beams.
The longitudinal beams can, for example, have a length of 180 cm to 220 cm, preferably 190 cm to 210 cm, in the case of a baby or children's bed, in particular a length of 100 cm to 140 cm, preferably 110 to 130 cm. The longitudinal beams are particularly preferably 200 cm long, and 120 cm in the case of a baby or children's bed. The cross member (s) can have a length of 90 cm to 110 cm, in particular a length of 50 cm to 70 cm in the case of a baby or child's bed. Particularly preferably, the cross member or members have a length of 100 cm, in the case of a baby or children's bed, a length of 60 cm. Accordingly, the head part and the foot part can have a width of 90 cm to 110 cm, preferably 100 cm, in the case of a baby or children's bed, in particular a width of 50 cm to 70 cm, preferably 60 cm. The lying area can have a length of 180 cm to 220 cm, preferably 190 cm to 210 cm, particularly preferably 200 cm and / or a width of 90 cm to 110 cm, preferably 100 cm. In the case of a baby or children's bed, the lying area can have a length of 100 cm to 140 cm, preferably 110 cm to 130 cm, particularly preferably 120 cm and / or a width of 50 cm to 70 cm, preferably 60 cm. The first and / or second side part preferably has a length which protrudes beyond the lying area and in particular ends flush with the head part and / or foot part.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one head part, the at least one foot part and the at least one first and / or the at least one second side part form a downwardly extending receiving area of the bed, that is, in the erected state of the bed in the direction of the floor Bed attachment, in which the support frame is at least partially received or received. The receiving area preferably has an inner contour which is at least partially complementary to an outer contour of the support frame, so that the support frame is at least partially or completely fitted or can be fitted into the bed attachment. This has the advantage that a stable connection between the bed attachment and the support frame is achieved. In particular, there can be a form fit between the bed attachment and the support frame, through which additional fastening means such as metal fittings for connecting the bed attachment and the support frame can be dispensed with. At the same time, the bed attachment and support frame can also be easily connected with this type of connection are separated from each other again without having to detach the connection between separate connecting means. Rather, the bed attachment can simply be lifted off the support frame. An advantageous flexibility is thus retained, which ensures an uncomplicated construction and conversion of the bed according to the invention.
The at least one head part and the at least one foot part are preferably arranged on an inner surface of the at least one first side part and / or the at least one second side part facing the lying area and are preferably releasably connected or connectable to this. For example, the at least one head part and the at least one foot part can be arranged between the first and the second side part and can each be releasably connected or connected to them. This has the advantage that the lying area is flush with the head and foot sections after removing a side part. This makes it possible, for example, that when the lying area is enlarged by combining two bed attachments, the two lying areas of the bed attachments can be directly adjacent to one another on the sides without a side part and thus a common, continuous lying area can be formed. Expediently, the head and foot sections can therefore also be set up so that they can be releasably connected not only to the first and / or second side section, but also to a further head section or to a further foot section. In particular, head and / or foot parts can have connecting means which are designed both for establishing the releasable connection with the first and / or second side part and for establishing the releasable connection with a further head part or a further foot part. In contrast to this, in the known bed constructions, the side parts are usually arranged between the head and foot parts. This means that when converting two conventional beds into a double or twin bed, for example, there is usually a gap between their joined lying areas. This can not only have a disadvantageous effect on the lying comfort, but also represent a safety risk, especially in the case of twin beds.
In a further embodiment it is provided that the at least one head part and the at least one foot part each have at least one holding element on their mutually facing inner surfaces, with which the bed attachment can be placed or placed on the support frame. In this way, the holding elements regulate the distance which the bed attachment occupies from the floor when the bed is in the erected state. At the same time they serve Retaining elements as a stabilizer by securing the bed attachment against tilting or slipping on the support frame. The bed's own weight, which is supported by the support frame on the support frame, gives the bed additional stability.
The holding elements can additionally at least partially form a support for a mattress pad that can be inserted into the bed attachment. For example, the holding elements can have an underside facing the carrier frame and an upper side facing away from the carrier frame, the underside being at least partially attachable or placed on the carrier frame and the upper side at least partially forming a support for the mattress pad. However, it is also possible that the at least one head part and the at least one foot part on the inner surfaces, in addition to the respective holding element, each have at least one receiving element for receiving the mattress base, which is arranged in relation to the carrier frame above the holding element or the holding elements and, in particular in the case of a baby or children's bed, is preferably height-adjustable. In this way, the ergonomics and comfort of the bed are improved, for example through individually adjustable entry and exit heights. In addition, for example, in the design as a baby and children's bed, the possibility is created to adjust the height of the lying surface to that of the parent's bed and thus set up the baby and children's bed according to the invention as an additional bed and / or increase the comfort when lying down or removing the baby or child , since excessive stooping can be omitted.
The mattress base can be designed as a slatted frame or bed base, for example. The mattress base is preferably designed as a, in particular one-piece, bed base. The bed base is preferably at least partially fitted or adaptable into the bed attachment, that is to say has essentially or precisely the dimensions of the lying area. This has the advantage that the bed base is additionally stabilized and kept in shape by the bed base. Suitable and preferred dimensions of the bed base thus correspond to those of the lying area, so that reference can be made to the above statements in this regard. The bed base can have several, in particular round or circular, openings which, on the one hand, serve for ventilation and, on the other hand, make it easier to insert the bed base into the bed attachment.
In a preferred embodiment with a mattress base designed as a bed base, it is provided that the holding elements are arranged on the inner surfaces of the head part and foot part in such a way that the distance between the underside of the holding elements and the lower edge of the bed attachment essentially or exactly corresponds to the thickness of the bed base. This has the advantage that when the bed attachment is set up the other way round after the support frame has been removed, the bed base can be placed on the underside of the holding elements and, when placed, is approximately or exactly flush with the lower edge of the bed attachment. This creates a homogeneous surface that can be used as a table, for example. The openings in the bed base can be used to hold holders such as pen cups. In this way, the useful life of the bed can be particularly expediently extended beyond the point in time at which the child has outgrown the bed.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the carrier elements at least partially, in particular at least the longitudinal members, have floor contact areas via which the carrier frame is mechanically connected to the floor in the erected state of the bed. Preferably, all of the carrier elements, in particular both the longitudinal members and the cross member (s), have such ground contact areas. This ensures that the carrier frame can be set up stably on the floor in various combinations of carrier elements, in particular both a carrier frame formed from longitudinal members and cross members and a carrier frame formed solely from longitudinal members, and securely supports the bed attachment.
The ground contact areas can be designed, for example, in the form of legs, which are preferably each arranged in the two end areas of a carrier element, in particular in the two respective end areas of the longitudinal members or the cross member or the cross member. In a particularly preferred variant, the carrier elements or the longitudinal members and / or the cross member (s) are each formed in one piece together with the two legs and can therefore in particular have a runner shape. This has the advantage that no additional connection between the legs and the support elements is required, which increases the stability of the construction and considerably simplifies the assembly and conversion of the support frame. Such skid-shaped support elements are made of wood, for example by CNC milling or plywood, in particular from multi-layer veneer plywood panels, so-called multiplex panels, can be produced.
In a preferred embodiment, the at least one first side part and / or the at least one second side part has a fastening means for receiving an insert such as a fall-out protection, which prevents or at least hinders falling out of the lying area while sleeping. It is possible, for example, for the at least one first side part and / or the at least one second side part to have an upwardly open recess in the middle for easier access to the lying area, which is designed to accommodate the insert. In particular, due to the recess, the first and / or second side part can have an upwardly open U-shape, which is at least partially closed by receiving the insert or fall-out protection.
In a second aspect, the invention relates to a bed system, in particular a twin or multiple bed, which can be formed from at least a first and a second bed as described above. The bed extension of the first bed and the bed extension of the second bed are arranged next to each other on a carrier frame, which is at least partially with the carrier elements of the first bed and at least partially with the carrier elements of the second bed, or can be put on, so that the bed extensions of the first and second beds come together at least partially surround a continuous lying area suitable for sleeping. For example, the bed attachment of the first and second bed can each include the head part, the foot part and one of the side parts, the bed parts being arranged on the support frame in such a way that the two sides face each other without a side part and this results in the continuous lying area. Preferably, the first and the second bed are identical.
In a preferred embodiment, the support frame of the bed system is constructed or can be constructed with the two longitudinal supports of the first bed and the two longitudinal supports of the second bed, which are releasably connected or can be connected to one another.
The bed attachments of the first and second beds are preferably releasably connectable or connected to one another at the head parts and / or the foot parts, in particular in abutment. The combination of the connection and the dead weight of the bed add-ons gives the bed system additional stability and is reliably secured against slipping or shaking.
Furthermore, in a third aspect, the invention relates to a kit for a bed according to the first aspect of the invention or for a bed system according to the second aspect of the invention. The kit comprises at least one head part, at least one foot part, at least one first side part and / or at least one second side part for the construction of the bed attachment and several support elements for the modular construction of the support frame.
In a preferred variant of the kit, the carrier elements comprise at least two longitudinal members and at least two transverse members according to the above statements on the first and second aspect of the invention. In a further variant, the kit can additionally include at least one insert, for example at least one fall-out protection and / or at least one full insert. In another variant, the kit can also contain a mattress base, for example a bed base. Any combination of these variants is of course also possible.
In a further preferred variant, the kit comprises at least two head parts, at least two foot parts, at least one first side part and at least one second side part, preferably at least two first side parts and at least two second side parts, as well as at least four longitudinal members and preferably additionally at least four cross members according to the above statements to the first or second aspect of the invention. Optionally, at least one insert, for example at least one fall-out protection and / or at least one full insert, and / or at least two mattress pads, for example two bed bases, can also be included.
In the case of the kit, the individual elements which are provided for the bed or the bed system are expediently at least partially or not all connected but can be connected in order to form the bed or bed system. The corresponding connecting means such as the first and / or second connecting system and / or the fastening means can be contained in the kit and at least partially or completely arranged on the corresponding elements or components. Alternatively or additionally, the connection means in the kit can be present at least partially or completely separately from the corresponding elements or components.
Finally, a fourth aspect of the invention relates to a use of a kit according to the third aspect of the invention for producing a bed and / or for producing a bed system according to the first or the second aspect of the invention.
Preferred and advantageous embodiments of the bed system according to the second aspect of the invention, the kit according to the third aspect of the invention and the use according to the fourth aspect of the invention correspond, as far as applicable, to those of the bed according to the first aspect of the invention. Features that are disclosed above and below for the bed can therefore also relate to the bed system, the kit and the use, and vice versa.
