Zur Vermeidung dieser Nachteile ist der Einsatz fliegender Scheren bekannt, die aber den Nachteil haben, dass die aus der Schere auslaufenden Stäbe infolge der durch die Schere mitgeteilten Bewegungsenergie nach der Schere ungleich zu liegen kommen.
