The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a cabinet furniture of the type mentioned, in which the disadvantages are avoided.

This object is achieved by a box furniture with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments can be found in the dependent claims.

The invention is based on the fundamental idea to place a C-shaped or U-shaped profile element behind the furniture fronts, which forms the recessed grip. In this way, in this profile, an insert profile for receiving a lighting device, such as an LED strip or the like, are used, and preferably at or in the region of one of the two legs of the corresponding profile element. In this way, the lighting device can be arranged so that it is not visible from the front. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the insert profile on the inside of the at least one furniture front side facing a recessed portion. The profile element according to the invention is universally applicable. Thus, it can be arranged in the region of two adjacent narrow sides of furniture fronts or in the region of the narrow side of a furniture front and an adjacent worktop or side wall of the chest furniture. The insert profile with the lighting device can hide behind the furniture front with the profile element according to the invention, so that it is not visible from the outside.
