Definitions
- the invention relates to a shoe sole with a sole body and with a reinforcement layer made of plastic which follows the course of the sole body at a distance from the edge of the sole and which forks into two lateral branches against the forefoot area.
- shoe soles In order to stabilize the lateral movement of the foot and guide it in its longitudinal movement, shoe soles are known (EP 1 100 349 B1 ), in which a reinforcement layer made of plastic is provided, which has a closed ring section in the heel area and two lateral branches extending from the ring section and essentially following the edge of the sole against the forefoot area, so that the ring section surrounding the heel has the foot in the heel area during ground contact laterally stabilized and the side branches provide a longitudinal guide for the rolling foot. With such sole reinforcements, the foot loads occurring during running can be taken into account in particular.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a shoe sole for a diabetic shoe which avoids local pressure points and limits the average peak load on the foot per step, without having to do without a good footrest.
- the invention achieves the object in that the reinforcement layer having an open honeycomb structure is embedded in the sole body made of an elastomeric material and that the elastomeric material of the sole body penetrates the reinforcement layer through the open honeycomb structure.
- the elastomeric material of the sole body initially represents a prerequisite for a largely flat contact of the shoe sole with the sole of the foot, which results in a more even pressure distribution and thus the avoidance of local pressure points.
- the reinforcement layer embedded in the sole body hardly affects this effect of the sole body, because the elastomeric material of the sole body extends through the open cells of the honeycomb structure of the reinforcement layer and can therefore develop its effect in the direction of pressure essentially over the entire surface of the sole, without affecting the supporting action of the reinforcement layer to have to do without.
- the honeycomb structure of the reinforcement insert which is penetrated by the material of the sole body, requires a composite body which has an overall effect which goes beyond the sum of the individual effects of the sole body and the reinforcement insert, and which enables the shoe sole to be adapted well to the requirements to be taken into account in connection with diabetic foot syndromes, and without the need for individual sole production.
- the special shape of the reinforcement insert supports the foot in less pressure-sensitive sole areas and avoids support effects in more pressure-sensitive areas Areas so that not only the average pressure load over time but also the average peak load on the soles of the feet is limited.
- the cross-sectional shape of the cells of the honeycomb structure does not need to be hexagonal, but can also have a different polygonal shape or be circular or oval.
- the design of the shoe must not impair this effect.
- a shoe is recommended in which the shoe sole according to the invention, which comprises a shoe upper with a raised edge, is glued to an insole connected to the shoe upper by means of a strobing seam.
- the connection of the insole to the shoe upper by means of a strobing seam allows the production of particularly adaptable shoes with high wearing comfort.
- the shoe sole according to the invention has a sole body 1 made of an elastomer, in which a reinforcing layer 2 is embedded.
- This reinforcement layer 2 made of plastic bifurcates into two lateral branches 3, which extend towards the forefoot area and essentially follow the edge of the sole at a distance, as is the case with Fig. 2 can be removed.
- This reinforcement layer 2 is provided with a continuous, open honeycomb structure 4, so that the elastomeric material of the sole body 1 penetrates the open honeycomb cells.
- the sole body 1 thus forms a composite body with the reinforcement layer 2, which on the one hand ensures a flat contact with the sole of the foot of a shoe user and on the other hand exerts a corresponding support effect on the foot.
- the reinforcement layer 2 can be used to even out the foot load that occurs during the sequence of steps while avoiding high local loads, so that pressure points that can lead to foot syndromes are largely avoided, especially since the average peak load when the shoe sole rolls off due to walking is limited.
- These properties of the composite body made of the sole body 1 and the reinforcement layer 2 make the shoe sole particularly suitable for diabetics whose sensitivity to pain can be considerably reduced due to diabetic neuropathy.
- a shoe such as that in the Fig. 1 is shown.
- This shoe is distinguished by the connection of the shoe upper 5 to the insole 6 by means of a strobe seam 7, the shoe sole 1 with a raised edge 8 encompassing the shoe upper 5 on the outside and being glued to the insole 6 and the shoe upper 5.
- a footbed insert 10 can be provided on the insole 6 in a conventional manner, optionally with the interposition of a soft foam part 9.

Description
The invention relates to a shoe sole with a sole body and with a reinforcement layer made of plastic which follows the course of the sole body at a distance from the edge of the sole and which forks into two lateral branches against the forefoot area.

However, the measures known for such sports shoes generally cannot meet the requirements that arise in connection with shoes for diabetics. Diabetic neuropathy can lead to foot syndromes, which are often perceived too late due to the reduced sensitivity to pain of such patients. Shoes for diabetics should therefore avoid local overloading of the foot and limit the average peak load during a step in order to prevent possible causes of foot syndromes.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a shoe sole for a diabetic shoe which avoids local pressure points and limits the average peak load on the foot per step, without having to do without a good footrest.
Starting from a shoe sole of the type described at the outset, the invention achieves the object in that the reinforcement layer having an open honeycomb structure is embedded in the sole body made of an elastomeric material and that the elastomeric material of the sole body penetrates the reinforcement layer through the open honeycomb structure.
The elastomeric material of the sole body initially represents a prerequisite for a largely flat contact of the shoe sole with the sole of the foot, which results in a more even pressure distribution and thus the avoidance of local pressure points. The reinforcement layer embedded in the sole body hardly affects this effect of the sole body, because the elastomeric material of the sole body extends through the open cells of the honeycomb structure of the reinforcement layer and can therefore develop its effect in the direction of pressure essentially over the entire surface of the sole, without affecting the supporting action of the reinforcement layer to have to do without. The honeycomb structure of the reinforcement insert, which is penetrated by the material of the sole body, requires a composite body which has an overall effect which goes beyond the sum of the individual effects of the sole body and the reinforcement insert, and which enables the shoe sole to be adapted well to the requirements to be taken into account in connection with diabetic foot syndromes, and without the need for individual sole production. The special shape of the reinforcement insert supports the foot in less pressure-sensitive sole areas and avoids support effects in more pressure-sensitive areas Areas so that not only the average pressure load over time but also the average peak load on the soles of the feet is limited. The cross-sectional shape of the cells of the honeycomb structure does not need to be hexagonal, but can also have a different polygonal shape or be circular or oval.
So that the special effect of the sole of a shoe in a shoe can be fully used for diabetics, the design of the shoe must not impair this effect. For this reason, a shoe is recommended in which the shoe sole according to the invention, which comprises a shoe upper with a raised edge, is glued to an insole connected to the shoe upper by means of a strobing seam. The connection of the insole to the shoe upper by means of a strobing seam allows the production of particularly adaptable shoes with high wearing comfort.
