Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a data page for incorporation in a preferably book-like security and / or value document and a data page for this purpose.

From the EP 2 116 390 A1 a data page is known which is multi-layered. This data page includes a tab which has a projection against the data page to sew the data page into a security or value document. In this data page, a non-woven strip is introduced between a laser-capable plastic sheet and a prelaminated sheet, which is narrow in relation to the width of the plastic sheet and the prelaminated sheet, so that on the one hand, a projection is given, which protrudes from the data side and a narrow strip is formed, which is laminated. This creates a gap between the plastic sheet and the prelaminated sheet prior to lamination, which is closed after lamination by joining the plastic sheet and the prelaminated sheet. Openings are provided in the nonwoven strip so that joints are formed in the openings in the section extending between the two sheets by laminating between the plastic sheet and the prelaminated sheet. By stacking individual sheets and then laminating, the data page is created.

From the WO 2006/079224 A1 Further, a data sheet for a security or value document is known, which comprises a first and a second layer, between which a flexible layer extends as an intermediate layer, which extends to form a supernatant outside of the first and second layer. This flexible layer is for example a textile, a woven or knitted fabric or a flexible film. This intermediate layer has perforations in a region between the data sides adjoining on the upper side and the lower side, so that after the lamination the one another opposite data pages by non-detachable connections that extend through the openings of the intermediate layer, are connected to each other. Such a data page is made of individual trays, which are superimposed fed to a laminating station.

From the DE 10 2012 019 308 A1 shows an inlay for a multi-layered disk, which may be provided for a data page of a passport book. The inlay has a fabric layer, which is internally connected to a plastic layer. The plastic material thereby fills in the meshes of the fabric, so that the inlay has a closed profiled surface, which is formed to one of the raised tissue structure of the fabric layer and the other of intermediate plastic material surfaces. Such an inlay is also provided for forming the tab.

From the EP 2 287 012 A1 Further, there is known a data page which receives, between an outer layer and a layer of electronic elements, a layer of flexible material which extends over the entire data side and protrudes from the outer layer and the electronic element layer to form a tab. This layer consists of a flexible material which is reinforced by fibers, fabric or a net. The layer with electronic elements is covered on the outside with an outer layer. Such a data page is also produced by lamination of the individual sheets arranged one above the other. From the DE 10 2004 055 495 A1 shows an analogous structure for a multilayer personalization data page. The core layer consists of three layers, the middle layer being a textile layer. This may consist of a fabric and / or a non-woven of thermoplastic fibers. Such nonwovens have a random fiber arrangement and thereby differ from the fabrics. From the US 2008/0169638 A1 is a data page for integration into a preferably book-like security and / or value document known, which consists of at least two superimposed layers an organic polymer material and at least one fiber layer which is arranged to form a supernatant in a partial region between the layers and outside the layers.

The invention has for its object to provide a cost-effective method for producing such a data page and to provide a data page, which is designed to be robust.

This object is achieved by a method according to the features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments and further developments are specified in the further claims.

In this method for producing the data page, the first layer is provided and withdrawn as a roll product, so that an organic binder is at least partially applied to an upper side of the first layer, a fiber layer provided as a roll and forming on the first layer with a supernatant a side edge of the first layer is applied and the second layer is also provided as a roll and applied to the fiber layer.

All components for the construction of such a data page are automatically supplied or applied, wherein the second layer covers at least a portion of the first layer and the supernatant remains free. Surprisingly, it has also been found that despite the protruding supernatant between the first and second layer, which is formed by the fiber layer, a continuous or quasi-continuous supply of the individual layers and production of a composite and thus increased productivity compared to a Bogenlamination is possible ,

A preferred embodiment of the method provides that the second layer is applied with at least one side edge congruent to the side edge of the first layer on the fiber layer. This allows a projection with a same width over the length of the data page done.

It is preferably provided that the first and the second layer have the same web width and the second layer is applied congruently to the first layer. Thereby, the extension of the fiber layer between the first and second layer can be freely selected and determined according to the requirements.

The fibrous layer is preferably provided with a web width which corresponds to the web width of at least the first layer and the supernatant. This arrangement has the advantage that the fiber layer extends over the entire width of the data page and the layers the finished data page extend to the same extent and a uniform structure is achieved.

For the first layer, a film with a film thickness of 50 to 500 microns is preferably selected and for the second layer, a film having a film thickness of 30 to 300 microns, wherein preferably the first layer is the same thickness or thicker than the second layer. As a result, increased process reliability can be achieved in order to guide the strip-shaped layers through the individual processing stations.

The supply of the fiber layer to the first layer preferably takes place by a guide without warping, so that no wrinkling or no warping arise.

The first layer is advantageously wetted partially or completely with binder. In this case, a printing method, such as an inkjet or screen printing process can be used, as well as a spray coating or slot coating.

The volume of the binder to be applied to the first layer is dimensioned in such a way that the fiber layer is impregnated. It is thereby achieved that the second layer lying thereon also comes into contact with the binder, whereby an adhesive bond between the layers is made possible.

The binder may preferably be applied to the first layer as a pattern, such as a watermark. Likewise, a personalization, for example in the form of numbers, letters or image information, can be generated. As a result, additional information can be introduced into the data page, in particular when forming a transparent layer.

The binder may additionally comprise one or more substances or materials from the group consisting of color pigments, effect pigments, optically variable pigments, luminescent substances or pigments, fluorescent substances or pigments, whereby further safety features can be formed. Alternatively, the binder can also be completely colored.

Furthermore, one of the first layer, the binder, is preferred Fiber layer and the second layer pre-fixed existing multilayer arrangement. As a result, a secure transport can be made possible up to a subsequent laminating station, without the individual layers or layers shifting against each other. Preferably, a thermal prefixing is introduced into the multilayer arrangement. This can be done for example by means of a laser beam. In this case, the lower layer can also be selectively melted in the roll-to-roll process and attachment of the layers to one another is already effected at these fixing points. Such a prefixing or stapling can also be effected by means of a heating stamp, such as a soldering iron, a hot wheel or a heating blade, in order to achieve prefixing in a punctiform or strip-like manner. Optionally, a Vorfixierung can be introduced by an ultrasonic effect.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that a composite consisting of at least the first layer, the binder, the fibrous layer and the at least one second layer is fed to a laminating station. This allows drying and curing of the binder to firmly bond the individual layers together.

Preferably, a prelamel method is carried out in the laminating station, that is to say that in comparison to a conventional lamination with a reduced temperature and pressure on the composite for drying the binder is acted.

After the laminating station, the composite produced is separated. Preferably, a punching or cutting can be done. This processing step can take place during a continuous supply of the layers and the fiber layer for the production of the composite. Likewise, a quasi-continuous travel speed of the layers and of the fiber layer can take place, that is to say that a short stoppage of the feed movement of the individual layers and of the fiber layer is controlled for the duration of the cutting or punching.

The object underlying the invention is further solved by a data page for incorporation into a preferably book-like security or value document, which has a first and a second layer of an organic polymer material, which are connected to the at least partially intervening fiber layer by an organic binder to each other and form a stable composite. It is provided that there is no material connection between the first and second layer and / or the intermediate fiber layer, but the binder, the first and second layer and the intermediate therebetween at least partially extending fiber layer fixed to each other and thus forms a stable bond.

Preferably, the fibrous layer may consist of a random arrangement of fibers, for example a flat fiber bundle, a fiber network, a flat fiber arrangement, in particular a nonwoven or felt, or an aligned arrangement of fibers, such as a woven, knitted, knitted, braided, Sewing knit or a textile. These are preferably suitable for the formation of the supernatant, by which a sewing of the data page is possible in such a security or value document. Likewise, this can also be a welded connection with another component of the security and / or value document done alternatively or additionally. This fiber layer may be one or more colors or partially or completely colored.

The fiber layer provided for the data side is preferably formed as a mono-fiber layer, which is spun from a fiber. As a result, both a very thin and stable data page can be created. The organic binder connecting the layers and the fibrous layer is preferably selected from the group of polycarbonates or copolycarbonates. Particularly preferred is a binder according to the DE 44 21 561 A1 , This binder consists of a thermoplastic flavored polycarbonate, wherein in particular a low molecular weight polycarbonate solution is used.

The fibrous layer 16 can be a textile, a woven, knitted, knitted, braided, stitchbonded fabric or a flat fiber bundle, fiber network or a flat fiber arrangement or nonwoven fabric, felt, flat fiber bundle. Preferably, the fiber layer 16 is formed as a mono-fiber layer.

To carry out the method for producing the data page 11, the first layer 12, the second layer 14 and the fiber layer 16 are provided as roll or web goods, so that a supply to the individual processing stations can be effected in each case by a roll take-off.

First, the first layer 12 is removed from a roll 21 and fed to a coating or printing station 22. In this printing station 22, an organic binder 20 is applied to the upper side of the first layer 12 at least in partial areas. The organic binder 20 consists of polycarbonate or polycarbonate derivative or copolycarbonate, in particular an amorphous copolycarbonate. By a printing process, such as inkjet, screen printing, spray coating or slot coating, various geometric patterns in the form of stripes, dots, watermarks or the like can be applied. Preferably, a full-surface application is provided, which extends over the entire web width of the first layer 12.

Subsequent to the printing station 12, a first feeding station 23 for the fiber layer 16 is provided. The fiber layer 16 is from a roller 25th withdrawn and fed via a guide distortion-free of the first layer 12, so that this fiber layer 16 adheres to the applied binder 20 without wrinkling on the first layer 12. By a pressure roller 24, the fiber layer 16 is at least partially soaked or impregnated. In this first embodiment, it is provided that the fiber layer 16 extends completely over the web width of the first layer 12 and beyond the supernatant 19 forms. In this case, the supernatant 19 along the left or right side edge of the first layer 12 can be optionally formed. If a double data page or a dual use is to be produced, a double-sided projection can also be provided, so that a right and left data page 11 are formed by a central separating cut in a cutting station 35 which will be described below.

In a subsequent feed station 26, the second layer 14 is withdrawn from a roll 27 and the first layer 12 and the fiber layer 16 arranged thereon, wherein a side edge 18 of the second layer is aligned and fed congruent to the side edge 17 of the first layer 12. As a result, a defined projection 19 can be created. The web width of the second layer 14 is preferably the same width as the first layer 12, so that the fiber layer 16 located therebetween is completely integrated.

During the application of the second layer 14 to the fiber layer 16 may be possible via a pressure roller 28 that the fibrous layer 16 penetrating binder 20 comes into contact with the second layer 14. A composite 31 created thereby, in which the binder 20 is not yet cured or crosslinked, is fed to a laminating station 33 in which, under the action of pressure and / or temperature, a permanent connection of the layers 12, 14 with the fiber layer 16 therebetween is achieved becomes. In the laminating station 33, a so-called prelam method is preferably carried out, which operates at temperatures of, for example, 50 to 120 ° C., in order to achieve drying of the binder 20 and thus an adhesive bond between the layers 12 and 14 and a stable bond is formed.

Subsequently, the stable composite 31 is fed to a cutting station 35 in order to separate the data pages 11 and / or to tailor them to a final format. The individual data pages 11 can then be stored in a magazine or occasionally supplied to subsequent processing stations.

By the manufacturing method described above, data pages 11 having a projection 19 made of a flexible or pliable material can be easily obtained with a high productivity due to the provision of the layers 12, 14.
