Mit anderen Worten wird auf diese Weise erreicht, dass die Antriebsverbindung zwischen der Einrichtung zum Drehantreiben des noch leeren Wickels und dem Wickel unterbrochen wird, bevor der Wickel in Kontakt mit der Kontaktwalze und/oder der aufzuwickelnden Materialbahn tritt. Der Wickel dreht zwar für einen sehr kurzen Zeitraum ohne jeden Zwangsantrieb und somit frei, jedoch ist die - kaum vorhandene - Geschwindigkeitsabnahme für die Qualität des neuen Wickels ohne Auswirkung.In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least one sensor is provided. - • mit einer Einrichtung zum Heranführen des noch leeren Wickels an die Kontaktwalze der noch leere Wickel in Richtung auf die Kontaktwalze bewegt wird,
- - wobei mit der Einrichtung zum Drehantreiben des noch leeren Wickels und mit der Einrichtung zum Heranführen des noch leeren Wickels an die Kontaktwalze gleichzeitig auf den noch leeren Wickel eingewirkt wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zeichnet sich nun dadurch aus, dass die Einrichtung zum Drehantreiben des noch leeren Wickels Kraftübertragungsmittel umfasst, welche wenigstens zum Teil langgestreckt sind und dass die Einrichtung zum Heranführen des noch leeren Wickels an die Kontaktwalze parallel zu dem langgestreckten Teil verfahren wird.
