Definitions
- the present invention relates to a turning knob for operating a cylinder adapter of a lock cylinder.
- a further aspect of the present invention relates to a lock cylinder which includes such a turning knob.
- the present invention relates to a method for inserting a battery into such a rotary knob and a method for removing a battery from such a rotary knob.
- Such rotary knobs are well known.
- mechatronic rotary knobs are known, through which a cylinder adapter of a lock cylinder can only be unlocked from one side of the door after prior authentication. The authentication can take place, for example, using a chip or an ID card.
- the rotary knob is decoupled from the cylinder adapter. Turning the rotary knob therefore does not lead to a turning of a locking element of the cylinder adapter and thus the door cannot be opened.
- a clutch slide is positively engaged with a clutch element via a drive, which can be a motor, for example, so that a torque applied to the rotary knob is transmitted via the clutch slide and the positively connected Coupling element is transferred to the closing element of the cylinder adapter.
- a battery is used to power the drive or other electrical components.
- the battery is located in a recess in the rotary knob and is connected to the drive, for example, via electrical contacts.
- the electrical contacts are electrically connected to the drive via a cable.
- this has the disadvantage of complicated and time-consuming assembly, in particular due to the lack of space in the rotary knob.
- access to the electrical connection between the driver and the electrical contacts is limited or not possible without having to destroy the rotary knob.
- the recess in which the battery is arranged, and thus also the entire rotary knob must be adapted to the size of the battery or the drive for different applications. This can lead to increased costs and a large number of turning knobs which must be stored as a stick.
- the assembly and disassembly effort is significantly reduced in that a fitter can slide the battery compartment into the battery recess or remove it from the battery recess in a simple, inexpensive and safe manner.
- the electrical contacting of the battery with at least one electrical component of the base body takes place exclusively via the battery compartment, in particular by battery contacts which are provided in the battery compartment.
- the battery compartment offers protection against foreign bodies, that could occur between the battery and the battery contacts. Should such foreign bodies nevertheless get into the battery compartment, they can be removed easily and quickly if the battery compartment is removed from the battery recess and cleaned.
- the same body can be used by only adapting the battery compartment. This results in great cost savings, since the battery compartment is easier to manufacture than the base body.
- the battery compartment can ensure that the battery functions safely, since the battery compartment protects the battery from the heat generated by the drive.
- the battery compartment can preferably have a substantially C-shaped cross section.
- the battery compartment can essentially be enclosed on at least three sides, which enables the battery to be arranged in a stable and secure manner in the battery compartment.
- a high contact pressure between the battery and the battery contacts can be achieved, which ensures a continuous supply of electrical energy to electrical components of the rotary knob.
- the battery compartment can have side faces along the battery, on which the battery is held.
- the battery compartment may have a strap to hold the battery in place. When inserting and/or removing the battery, the bracket can spring back.
- the battery compartment may have an opening that a user can reach into to push the battery out of the battery compartment.
- the base body can preferably have a lateral surface to which the battery recess is formed perpendicularly.
- the term "perpendicular to the lateral surface" means that a longitudinal axis of the battery recess is a normal vector of the lateral surface. This ensures that there is contact between the battery and the battery contacts is not interrupted due to forces which occur in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the base body. Such forces can result, for example, from operating the rotary knob to open a door.
- the base body can preferably have a first casing opening and a second casing opening, with the battery recess extending from the first casing opening to the second casing opening, with the battery compartment in particular being able to be inserted exclusively via the first casing opening.
- the battery recess is easily manufactured.
- the battery recess can be accessed through the shell surface, providing more flexibility when inserting and removing the battery compartment.
- the battery compartment can only be pushed in via the first shell opening, as a result of which the battery compartment can be pushed safely and quickly into the battery recess.
- the first and second casing opening can have a geometry that differs from one another.
- the first shell opening preferably has a shape complementary to a shape of the battery compartment.
- the shape of the battery recess can preferably be rotationally asymmetrical, which also serves to correctly insert the battery into the battery compartment.
- the battery compartment can have a battery compartment stop which rests against a base body stop when the battery compartment is fully inserted into the battery recess.
- the stop acts as a stop, which defines the position of the battery compartment in the battery recess.
- the stop is used to correctly insert the battery into the battery compartment.
- the rotary knob according to the invention can have a circuit board.
- the board can z. B. have a control and / or regulation of the drive and / or serve to authenticate a user.
- the circuit board can comprise at least two circuit board parts which are flexibly connected to one another.
- the battery compartment has a battery connector which can be inserted into a mating battery connector of the base body, in particular the circuit board, for electrically contacting the battery with at least one electrical component of the base body, in particular the circuit board.
- the electrical contact between the battery and the at least one electrical component is established in a simple manner via the interaction of the battery connector and the mating battery connector when the battery compartment is pushed into the battery recess.
- the battery connector can preferably include a cable which is electrically connected to battery contacts of the battery compartment or directly to the battery, in particular soldered to battery contacts of the battery compartment or directly to the battery.
- the battery connector can be electrically contacted with the battery in a simple and cost-effective manner.
- a direct electrical connection of the cable to the battery is preferred for measurement purposes.
- the battery compartment can have a printed circuit board, via which the battery contacts are wirelessly connected to the board, in particular to a first part of the board. It is conceivable here not to provide a cable between the battery and the board, in particular the first part of the board. This makes assembly easier. In addition, cables are prone to shearing and twisting, so a wireless connection enables a longer service life for the rotary knob.
- the battery contacts can be used for resilient attachment to the battery.
- the battery contacts can have a curved contact surface.
- the printed circuit board and the circuit board, in particular the first circuit board part, can be resiliently connected to one another.
- the printed circuit board or the circuit board can have contact surfaces on which resilient contacts rest, creating a electrically conductive connection between the circuit card and the board is made.
- the conductive connection is arranged in a lateral opening in the battery recess.
- the springy contacts move back when the battery compartment is inserted.
- the resilient contacts are preferably in contact with the contact surfaces with a contact pressure.
- a contact element with the resilient contacts can be attached to the circuit board, in particular to the first part of the circuit board.
- the contacts can bear against the contact surfaces of the printed circuit board in a resilient manner.
- the printed circuit board can have the contact element with the resilient contacts and the circuit board can have the contact surfaces.
- the battery contacts which are in electrically conductive contact with the battery, can be attached to a first side of the printed circuit board.
- an electric current flows from the battery via the battery contacts to the printed circuit board.
- the printed circuit board can have electrical conductor tracks for conducting current. The electrical conductor tracks end in the contact surfaces or on the resilient contacts of the printed circuit board. From there, the electric current flows to the circuit board, as described above.
- the contact surfaces or the resilient contacts are preferably arranged on a second side of the printed circuit board.
- the electrical traces of the printed circuit board lead from the first to the second side of the printed circuit board.
- the printed circuit board is preferably arranged in a housing of the battery compartment.
- the printed circuit board is particularly preferably fastened in the housing in a positive and/or non-positive manner.
- the printed circuit board can be clipped into the housing.
- the housing can be made of plastic.
- the housing can have at least one clip, preferably a plurality of clips.
- the clips can have clip lugs that bear against the printed circuit board, in particular on the first side of the printed circuit board.
- the circuit board can be prevented from falling out of the housing by the clip lugs.
- the housing may include the bracket.
- the printed circuit board can lie on a base of the housing, in particular with the second side.
- the housing can be equipped with an opening through which the printed circuit board protrudes, in particular with the contact element or the contact surfaces.
- the opening is preferably formed at the bottom of the housing.
- a further aspect of the invention relates to a lock cylinder which comprises a turning knob according to the invention and a cylinder adapter which can be actuated by the turning knob. This is associated with the advantages described above in relation to the turning knob.
- the battery compartment can preferably be pushed into the battery recess through a first shell opening formed in the base body. Thus, the insertion of the battery into the battery hole can be facilitated.
- the battery compartment can be pushed in up to a base body stop formed in the base body.
- the orientation of the battery compartment in the battery recess can be predetermined in the direction of insertion.
- the battery can preferably be inserted into the battery compartment and electrically contacted with the battery compartment at the same time. It is thus possible to save time when inserting the battery into the battery recess, since no additional step is required for the contacting process.
- the battery compartment is simultaneously pushed in and contacted with electrical components of the base body, preferably a circuit board, particularly preferably a first circuit board part.
- the battery connector and the mating battery connector or the contact element and the contact surfaces are preferably arranged in such a way that direct contact occurs when the battery is pushed in.
- the mating battery connector is arranged behind the battery connector in the insertion direction of the battery compartment. This can enable further time savings. If the contact element and contact surfaces are provided, then the contacts of the contact element are arranged resiliently in such a way that the contacts can recede when the battery compartment is pushed in. In the contacted state, the contacts are in contact with the contact surfaces with a contact pressure.
- the method according to the invention for removing a battery from a rotary knob comprising the steps of releasing an interlock between the battery compartment and the body, and removing the battery compartment by spring loading the battery compartment through a first shell opening of the body.
- a spiral spring can be used, which loads the battery compartment in the inserted state with a spring force in a direction opposite to the direction of insertion. This spring force supports or enables the removal of the battery in a simple manner.
- the method according to the invention can preferably include the steps of releasing a lock between the battery compartment and the base body, which has a first casing opening and a second casing opening, applying a force to the battery compartment through the second casing opening, and removing the battery compartment via the first mantle opening.

- the first mount 21 and/or the second mount 22 can be designed as an axial through-opening of the base body 5 .
- the first bracket 21 and the second bracket 22 are only axial from one side accessible. It is therefore not possible to reach the first holder 21 and/or the second holder 22 from the axially opposite side. It is provided in particular that this side is the side that points away from the cylinder adapter 3 . In this way, manipulation of the coupling unit 65 and thus of the rotary knob 1 can be prevented.
- the figure 5 and 6 show a circuit board 10 which is arranged within the rotary knob 1.
- a first circuit board part 57 is detached from a first end face 51 of the base body 5 (cf. 7 ) is attached to the base body 5, while a second circuit board part 61 is supported by a second end face 52 (cf. 7 ) of the base body 5 is attached to the base body 5.
- a connection part 66 is arranged between the first circuit board part 57 and the second circuit board part 61 .
- the connecting part 66 serves to mechanically and electrically connect the first circuit board part 57 to the second circuit board part 61.
- the connecting part 66 is designed to be completely flexible.
- the connecting part 66 can alternatively also have a rigid portion.
- the first circuit board part 57 and/or the second circuit board part 61 are preferably rigid.
- the first circuit board part 57 includes, in particular, an activation and/or regulation of the drive 15.
- the first circuit board part 57 therefore has a mating drive connector 56, which is designed as a contact socket and can be electrically connected to the drive connector 19. If the first circuit board part 57 is fastened to the base body 5, it is provided that contact between the drive connector 19 and the mating drive connector 56 necessarily takes place.
- the first circuit board part 57 has a recess 58 and a central bore 67 .
- the recess 58 serves to guide the first holder 21 and the second holder 22 of the base body 5 through the first circuit board part 57.
- the first circuit board part 57 is held within the base body 5 in a rotationally fixed manner.
- the central bore 67 ensures that the first circuit board part 57 is arranged centrally in the base body 5 by a positioning dome 68 of the base body 5 (cf. 7 ) is passed through the central bore 67 of the first circuit board part 57.
- the first circuit board part 57 has a mating battery connector 41, which can be contacted by a battery compartment 8 (cf. 13 ). It is thus provided in particular that the first circuit board part 57 includes all electrical components that are necessary for operating and controlling the drive 15 .
- the second circuit board part 61 has all the electrical components that are required for wireless data transmission. In particular, provision is made for the second circuit board part 61 to be able to communicate wirelessly with code cards which indicate whether there is authorization to actuate the cylinder adapter 3 or not.
- the receipt of such an authorization can be transmitted by the second circuit board part 61 to the first circuit board part 57 via the connecting part 66, so that the first circuit board part 57 controls the coupling unit 65, in particular the drive 15, in such a way that the rotary knob 1 is coupled to the cylinder adapter 3 . This is brought about by shifting the clutch slide 16 .
- the first circuit board part 57 also has a first sensor 69 and a second sensor 70, with the first sensor 69 and the second sensor 70 being arranged on different sides of the first circuit board part 57.
- the first sensor 69 and/or the second sensor 70 are a light barrier.
- the light barrier can be interrupted by a web 71 of the coupling slide 16, the light barrier of the first sensor 69 or the light barrier of the second sensor 70 depending on the position of the coupling slide 16 being interrupted.
- it can be determined where the web 71 and thus the clutch slide 16 is located.
- FIG. 7 shows the base body 5 of the turning knob 1 with a circuit board 10 inserted.
- the connecting part 66 is guided in a recess 64 of the base body.
- the first circuit board part 57 is held within the base body 5 by a retaining ring 13 .
- the attachment of the retaining ring 13 is with reference to 9 explained.
- two fastening means 72 are provided which engage through openings in the second circuit board part 61 .
- the fastening means 72 are, in particular, screws, preferably M2x4 pan-head screws.
- the Figures 8 to 11 describe the connection of the base body 5 with a grid shaft 11.
- 8 shows the raster shaft 11 and a coupling shaft 12.
- the raster shaft 11 comprises a sleeve-shaped area which has a multiplicity of circumferential grooves 53 on its outside.
- the grid shaft 11 can be fastened within the cylinder adapter 3 via the circumferential grooves 53 .
- the inside of the sleeve-shaped area forms a recess 59 for the coupling shaft 12.
- the coupling shaft 12 is thus arranged inside the ratchet shaft 11.
- the coupling shaft 12 is on one side through the positioning dome 68 of the base body 5 (cf. 7 ) and on the other side by a stop 84 which rests against a flange 34 of the grid shaft 11, axially fixed.
- the grid shaft 11 can be connected to the base body 5 via the flange 34 .
- the flange 34 also has magnet recesses 73, in which magnets 60, in particular neodymium magnets, can be used, in particular glued.
- the magnets 60 are preferably flush with the flange 34.
- Magnets 60 are also arranged on the clutch shaft 12, in particular on a flange of the clutch shaft 12, in particular in flange recesses of the clutch shaft 12.
- the magnets 60 are preferably glued into the clutch shaft 12 .
- the magnets can be used to prevent driver 18 , in particular engagement element 29 , from colliding with clutch shaft 12 .
- the clutch shaft 12 has at least one clutch lug 74 for engaging. In 8 a clutch shaft 12 with two clutch lugs 74 is shown.
- the clutch shaft 12 can be coupled to a rotation of the base body 5 or can be separated from a rotation of the base body 5 via the engagement element 29 of the clutch slide 16 . If the clutch slide 16 is in a coupled position, ie in a position in which the driver 18 on the threaded spindle 17 has a maximum distance from the drive 15, then this is the case a torque can be transmitted from the base body 5 via the clutch slide 16 to the clutch nose 74 and thus to the clutch shaft 12 .
- a recess 79 of the raster shaft 11, in particular the flange 34 of the raster shaft 11, ensures that the clutch slide 16, in particular the engagement element 29, does not collide with the flange 34 of the raster shaft 11.
- the recess 79 thus always ensures a distance between the flange 34 and the engagement element 29, even when the clutch slide 16 is in the engaged position.
- the clutch slide 16 is in a disengaged position, ie in a position in which the driver 18 has a minimum distance from the drive 15, then no torque can be transmitted from the base body 5 to the clutch shaft 12.
- the magnets 60 prevent the clutch slide 16, in particular the engagement element 29, from colliding with the clutch lugs 74 by a repelling effect of the magnets 60 of the clutch shaft 12 and the ratchet shaft 11 preventing the clutch shaft 12 from remaining in a position in which the clutch lugs 74 are arranged immediately in front of the clutch slide 16. In this way, said collision between the clutch slide 16 and the clutch lugs 74 can be avoided.
- the magnets are advantageously disc magnets measuring 4 ⁇ 1 mm or 3 ⁇ 1.5 mm.
- the coupling shaft 12 is in particular also hollow and has an inner profile with which an adapter shaft 46 (cf. 17 ) of the cylinder adapter 3 is movable.
- a wave washer 75 is pressed into the hollow coupling shaft 12 .
- the positioning dome 68 rests against the shaft washer 75 in order to fix the clutch shaft 12 axially.
- the flange 34 of the grid shaft 11 has an alignment recess 33, during which Base body 5 has an alignment lug 32 . If the grid shaft 11 is connected to the base body 5 , the alignment nose 32 engages in the alignment recess 33 . Thus, only a single orientation of the base body 5 to the grid shaft 11 is possible for connecting the grid shaft 11 and the base body 5 .
- the alignment lug 32 also serves to align the clutch shaft 12, in particular the recess 79 and the magnets 60 of the clutch shaft 12. Out of 9 it can also be seen that the flange 34 of the grid shaft 11 covers the first end face 51 of the base body 5 .
- the 10 shows the base body 5 with the grid shaft 11 inserted.
- the grid shaft 11, in particular the flange 34 of the grid shaft 11, is positively connected to the base body 5.
- a flange 76 is provided, via which the flange 34 of the grid shaft 11 is held on the base body 5 .
- FIG. 11 shows a sectional view of 10 . From this it can be seen that the flange 34 of the grid shaft 11 is in direct contact with the retaining ring 13 . This ensures that the first circuit board part 57 is held, in particular in the axial direction. The flange 34 in turn is held on the base body 5 by the flange 76 .
- the second circuit board part 61 is arranged in a shoulder 62 of the base body 5 on the side facing away from the cylinder adapter 3 . This makes it possible to equip the second board part 61, like the first board part 57, from both sides of the board surface. This means that a maximum area is available for equipping with electrical components.
- a battery 9 in particular a Tekcell CR2 lithium battery, can be inserted into the battery compartment 8, the battery 9 being contacted by battery contacts 39 of the battery compartment 8.
- a cable of the battery compartment 8 is soldered directly to the battery 9 .
- the battery 9 is contacted exclusively via the battery compartment 8 .
- the battery compartment 8 in turn has a battery connector 40 which is arranged on the battery compartment 8, in particular with play, and through a lateral breakthrough of the battery recess 23 protrudes when the battery compartment 8 is inserted into the battery recess 23.
- the battery connector 40 is connected to the battery contacts 39 or to the cable soldered to the battery 9 so that electrical contact is made with the circuit board 10 via the battery connector 40 .

- the mating battery connector 41 is arranged in particular directly on the first circuit board part 57 .
- the battery connector 40 is designed as a contact socket, with the battery mating connector 41 being designed as a plug.
- the battery connector 40 is a plug and the mating battery connector 41 is a contact socket.
- the base body 5 has the battery recess 23, which extends from a first casing opening 54 to a second casing opening 55 (cf. 11 ) extends and is rotationally asymmetrical.
- the battery recess 23 can be designed as a bag recess, ie the battery recess 23 does not completely penetrate the base body 5 .
- the battery recess 23 is oriented perpendicular to the first shell opening 54 and the second shell opening 55 . This allows the battery compartment 8 to be inserted through the first shell opening 54 into the battery recess 23, as shown in FIG 13 shown.
- an outer contour of the first casing opening 54 serves as a pre-alignment for the battery compartment 8. Furthermore, the rotationally asymmetrical configuration of the battery recess 23 predetermines the alignment of the battery compartment 8 in the battery recess 23 in the insertion direction. This simplifies the insertion of the battery compartment 8 into the battery recess 23 . To remove the battery compartment 8 from the battery recess 23 , a force can be applied to the battery compartment 8 through the second casing opening 55 so that the battery compartment 8 can be removed from the battery recess 23 through the first casing opening 54 .
- the second shell opening 55 can be replaced with a spring-loaded latching mechanism.
- the lateral surface 20 of the base body 5 has only the first lateral opening 54 through which the battery compartment 8 can be pushed into the battery recess 23 .
- the battery compartment 8 is spring-loaded latched within the battery recess 23 so that by releasing the latching the spring loading can be used to remove the battery compartment 8 from the battery recess 23 again.
- the insertion of the battery compartment 8 into the battery recess 23 is limited by a battery stop 42.
- the battery stop 42 rests against a base body stop 43 when the battery compartment 8 is fully inserted into the battery recess 23 .
- the battery connector 40 is contacted by the mating battery connector 41 .
- the base body 5 is surrounded by a cover element 6 .
- the cover element 6, together with the base body 5, is also in 14 shown.
- the cover element 6 surrounds the lateral surface 20 of the base body 5, with at least one peripheral opening 30 of the cover element 6 allowing access to the first lateral opening 54 and/or to the second lateral opening 55 of the basic body 5.
- the cover element 6 is configured in particular in such a way that a rotation of the cover element 6 relative to the base body 5 covers the first casing opening 54 and/or the second casing opening 55 of the base body 5, i.e. the peripheral openings 30 of the cover element 6 and the first casing opening 54 and/or the second casing opening 55 of the base body 5 are no longer aligned.
- the cover element 6 also serves to cover the flange 76 so that the connection between the grid shaft 11 and the base body 5 is completely covered by the cover element 6 .
- the grid shaft 11 is guided through an opening 31 in the face of the cover element 6 .
- the cover element 6 can have a rib in the axial direction, which engages in a corresponding recess, in particular a groove. In this way, a radial fixation is realized.
- the battery compartment 8 arranged in the battery recess 23 can be covered particularly advantageously by a knob cap 7, as shown in 15 is shown.
- the battery recess 23 is always released through the end openings 30 of the cover element 6 and is only covered by the knob cap 7 .
- the knob cap 7 has a connecting element 38 which is designed in particular as a locking lug.
- the knob cap 7 can be fastened to the base body 5 with the connecting element 38 .
- the connecting element 38 designed as a locking lug engages in the battery recess 23 and thus connects the knob cap 7 to the base body 5 in a form-fitting manner.
- the knob cap 7 is arranged under the cover element 6, ie is arranged closer to the lateral surface 20 of the base body 5 than the cover element 6.
- the circumferential openings 30 of the cover element 6 can be closed via a circumferential seal 35.
- the knob cap 7 also has an illuminated ring 36 which is arranged in a cover disk 77 .

- the cover disk 77 can be inserted in particular into an opening on the end face of the knob cap 7 .
- a logo screen 78 can be glued onto the cover plate 77 .
- the logo panel 78 therefore gives the knob cap 7 and thus the turning knob 1 an optically high-quality impression, with the luminous ring 36 around the logo panel 78 still being visible.
- the light ring can be controlled in particular by the second circuit board part 61 .
- an RFID antenna which is electrically connected to the second circuit board part 61 , is arranged inside the cover pane. This enables code cards to be read out.
- a radio antenna in particular an 868 MHz antenna, is also arranged on the second circuit board part 61 . This is used for communication with other components, in particular for configuring rotary knob 1.

- the cylinder adapter 3 also has adapter shafts 46 which are connected to the closing element 45 . If one of the adapter shafts 46 is rotated, the closing element 45 is also rotated, so that the closing mechanism of the door can be actuated by rotating the adapter shafts 46 .
- a double cylinder is shown, ie the cylinder adapter 3 can be actuated from two sides. It is also possible to use a half cylinder, in which case the in 18 Inner knob 4 shown is not required.
- the adapter shaft 46 is fixed inside the cylinder adapter 3 by a shaft retainer 49 .
- the adapter shaft 46 has an outer profile that matches the inner profile of the coupling shaft 12 . A torque can thus be transmitted from the clutch shaft 12 to the adapter shaft 46 .
- said profiles are hexagonal profiles.
- the rotary knob 1 is mounted and held within the cylinder adapter 3 via the grid shaft 11 .
- latching elements 47 are provided for holding the rotary knob 1 .
- the locking elements 47 are arranged in clip sleeves 50 and are spring-loaded and pressed by a spring 48 into the circumferential grooves 53 of the locking shaft 11 .
- the peripheral grooves 53 of the grid shaft 11 have bevels, so that a sawtooth profile is present on the outside of the grid shaft 11 . In this way, the turning knob 1 can easily be pushed into the cylinder adapter 3 .
- the locking element 47 To remove the rotary knob 1, the locking element 47 must be pulled out of the circumferential groove 53, which requires a partial removal of the cylinder adapter 3 from the door leaf. Manipulation of the lock cylinder 2 is thus ruled out or at least made more difficult. To remove the locking elements 47 are gripped with a special tool, in particular from below the cylinder adapter 3, and rotated by 90°.
- the rotary knob 1 is telescopic, i. H. the turning knob 1 can be used for cylinder adapters 3 with different lengths. Due to the adjustability of the rotary knob 1, the rotary knob can be adapted to different door thicknesses.

- the inner shaft 82 analogous to the grid shaft 11, has circumferential grooves on the outer surface.
- the inner knob 4 can be attached to the cylinder adapter 3 in the same way as the rotary knob 1. However, the inner knob 4 always allows the cylinder adapter 3 to be actuated, i.e. the rotation of the locking element 45.
- FIG 19 shows the final assembly of the lock cylinder 2.
- a rotary knob 1 and an inner knob 4 are used to actuate the cylinder adapter 3 .
- two rotary knobs 1 can be used to actuate the cylinder adapter 3 .

Description
The present invention relates to a turning knob for operating a cylinder adapter of a lock cylinder. A further aspect of the present invention relates to a lock cylinder which includes such a turning knob. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for inserting a battery into such a rotary knob and a method for removing a battery from such a rotary knob.
Without such authentication, the rotary knob is decoupled from the cylinder adapter. Turning the rotary knob therefore does not lead to a turning of a locking element of the cylinder adapter and thus the door cannot be opened.
However, if there is authorization to open the door via authentication, a clutch slide is positively engaged with a clutch element via a drive, which can be a motor, for example, so that a torque applied to the rotary knob is transmitted via the clutch slide and the positively connected Coupling element is transferred to the closing element of the cylinder adapter.
A battery is used to power the drive or other electrical components. The battery is located in a recess in the rotary knob and is connected to the drive, for example, via electrical contacts. The electrical contacts are electrically connected to the drive via a cable. However, this has the disadvantage of complicated and time-consuming assembly, in particular due to the lack of space in the rotary knob. Furthermore, access to the electrical connection between the driver and the electrical contacts is limited or not possible without having to destroy the rotary knob. Furthermore, the recess in which the battery is arranged, and thus also the entire rotary knob, must be adapted to the size of the battery or the drive for different applications. This can lead to increased costs and a large number of turning knobs which must be stored as a stick.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to propose a turning knob with a simplified arrangement of a battery in the turning knob, as a result of which the battery can be easily replaced.
- a body having a battery recess, and
- a battery compartment for holding a battery,
- the battery compartment can be pushed into the battery recess,
- and wherein electrical contact is made between the battery and at least one electrical component of the base body exclusively via the battery compartment.
This turning knob results in a multitude of advantages. In particular, the assembly and disassembly effort is significantly reduced in that a fitter can slide the battery compartment into the battery recess or remove it from the battery recess in a simple, inexpensive and safe manner. The electrical contacting of the battery with at least one electrical component of the base body takes place exclusively via the battery compartment, in particular by battery contacts which are provided in the battery compartment. Furthermore, the battery compartment offers protection against foreign bodies, that could occur between the battery and the battery contacts. Should such foreign bodies nevertheless get into the battery compartment, they can be removed easily and quickly if the battery compartment is removed from the battery recess and cleaned. Furthermore, in different applications in which different batteries are required, the same body can be used by only adapting the battery compartment. This results in great cost savings, since the battery compartment is easier to manufacture than the base body. Furthermore, the battery compartment can ensure that the battery functions safely, since the battery compartment protects the battery from the heat generated by the drive.
Die Unteransprüche beinhalten vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen und Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung. The dependent claims contain advantageous developments and refinements of the invention.
The battery compartment can preferably have a substantially C-shaped cross section. Thus, the battery compartment can essentially be enclosed on at least three sides, which enables the battery to be arranged in a stable and secure manner in the battery compartment. Furthermore, due to the shape of the battery compartment, a high contact pressure between the battery and the battery contacts can be achieved, which ensures a continuous supply of electrical energy to electrical components of the rotary knob.
Particularly preferably, the battery compartment can have side faces along the battery, on which the battery is held.
The battery compartment may have a strap to hold the battery in place. When inserting and/or removing the battery, the bracket can spring back. The battery compartment may have an opening that a user can reach into to push the battery out of the battery compartment.
The base body can preferably have a lateral surface to which the battery recess is formed perpendicularly. The term "perpendicular to the lateral surface" means that a longitudinal axis of the battery recess is a normal vector of the lateral surface. This ensures that there is contact between the battery and the battery contacts is not interrupted due to forces which occur in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the base body. Such forces can result, for example, from operating the rotary knob to open a door.
Furthermore, the base body can preferably have a first casing opening and a second casing opening, with the battery recess extending from the first casing opening to the second casing opening, with the battery compartment in particular being able to be inserted exclusively via the first casing opening. Thus, the battery recess is easily manufactured. Furthermore, the battery recess can be accessed through the shell surface, providing more flexibility when inserting and removing the battery compartment. Particularly preferably, the battery compartment can only be pushed in via the first shell opening, as a result of which the battery compartment can be pushed safely and quickly into the battery recess. For this purpose, the first and second casing opening can have a geometry that differs from one another. In particular, the first shell opening preferably has a shape complementary to a shape of the battery compartment. Thus, an alignment of the battery compartment in the battery recess in the direction of insertion can be specified.
Furthermore, the shape of the battery recess can preferably be rotationally asymmetrical, which also serves to correctly insert the battery into the battery compartment.
Advantageously, the battery compartment can have a battery compartment stop which rests against a base body stop when the battery compartment is fully inserted into the battery recess. On the one hand, the stop acts as a stop, which defines the position of the battery compartment in the battery recess. On the other hand, the stop is used to correctly insert the battery into the battery compartment.
The rotary knob according to the invention can have a circuit board. The board can z. B. have a control and / or regulation of the drive and / or serve to authenticate a user. In particular, the circuit board can comprise at least two circuit board parts which are flexibly connected to one another.
It is also considered advantageous if the battery compartment has a battery connector which can be inserted into a mating battery connector of the base body, in particular the circuit board, for electrically contacting the battery with at least one electrical component of the base body, in particular the circuit board. The electrical contact between the battery and the at least one electrical component is established in a simple manner via the interaction of the battery connector and the mating battery connector when the battery compartment is pushed into the battery recess.
For this purpose, the battery connector can preferably include a cable which is electrically connected to battery contacts of the battery compartment or directly to the battery, in particular soldered to battery contacts of the battery compartment or directly to the battery. Thus, depending on the application, the battery connector can be electrically contacted with the battery in a simple and cost-effective manner. A direct electrical connection of the cable to the battery is preferred for measurement purposes.
Alternatively, the battery compartment can have a printed circuit board, via which the battery contacts are wirelessly connected to the board, in particular to a first part of the board. It is conceivable here not to provide a cable between the battery and the board, in particular the first part of the board. This makes assembly easier. In addition, cables are prone to shearing and twisting, so a wireless connection enables a longer service life for the rotary knob.
The battery contacts can be used for resilient attachment to the battery. The battery contacts can have a curved contact surface.
The printed circuit board and the circuit board, in particular the first circuit board part, can be resiliently connected to one another. Thus, the printed circuit board or the circuit board can have contact surfaces on which resilient contacts rest, creating a electrically conductive connection between the circuit card and the board is made. The conductive connection is arranged in a lateral opening in the battery recess. The springy contacts move back when the battery compartment is inserted. The resilient contacts are preferably in contact with the contact surfaces with a contact pressure. For example, a contact element with the resilient contacts can be attached to the circuit board, in particular to the first part of the circuit board. The contacts can bear against the contact surfaces of the printed circuit board in a resilient manner. Alternatively, the printed circuit board can have the contact element with the resilient contacts and the circuit board can have the contact surfaces.
The battery contacts, which are in electrically conductive contact with the battery, can be attached to a first side of the printed circuit board. Thus, an electric current flows from the battery via the battery contacts to the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board can have electrical conductor tracks for conducting current. The electrical conductor tracks end in the contact surfaces or on the resilient contacts of the printed circuit board. From there, the electric current flows to the circuit board, as described above.
The contact surfaces or the resilient contacts are preferably arranged on a second side of the printed circuit board. Thus, the electrical traces of the printed circuit board lead from the first to the second side of the printed circuit board.
The printed circuit board is preferably arranged in a housing of the battery compartment. The printed circuit board is particularly preferably fastened in the housing in a positive and/or non-positive manner. For example, the printed circuit board can be clipped into the housing. The housing can be made of plastic. The housing can have at least one clip, preferably a plurality of clips. In particular, the clips can have clip lugs that bear against the printed circuit board, in particular on the first side of the printed circuit board. The circuit board can be prevented from falling out of the housing by the clip lugs.
Das Gehäuse kann den Bügel aufweisen. The housing may include the bracket.
The printed circuit board can lie on a base of the housing, in particular with the second side.
The housing can be equipped with an opening through which the printed circuit board protrudes, in particular with the contact element or the contact surfaces. The opening is preferably formed at the bottom of the housing. Thus, the resilient contacts or the contact surfaces of the printed circuit board can be electrically contacted from outside the battery compartment.
A further aspect of the invention relates to a lock cylinder which comprises a turning knob according to the invention and a cylinder adapter which can be actuated by the turning knob. This is associated with the advantages described above in relation to the turning knob.
- inserting the battery into the battery compartment,
- Electrically contacting the battery with the battery compartment, and
- inserting the battery compartment into the battery recess,
- wherein the battery makes electrical contact with at least one electrical component of the base body exclusively via the battery compartment.
The battery compartment can preferably be pushed into the battery recess through a first shell opening formed in the base body. Thus, the insertion of the battery into the battery hole can be facilitated.
Particularly preferably, the battery compartment can be pushed in up to a base body stop formed in the base body. As a result, the orientation of the battery compartment in the battery recess can be predetermined in the direction of insertion.
Furthermore, the battery can preferably be inserted into the battery compartment and electrically contacted with the battery compartment at the same time. It is thus possible to save time when inserting the battery into the battery recess, since no additional step is required for the contacting process.
Im kontaktierten Zustand liegen die Kontakte mit einem Anpressdruck an den Kontaktflächen an.It can also be advantageous if the battery compartment is simultaneously pushed in and contacted with electrical components of the base body, preferably a circuit board, particularly preferably a first circuit board part. In this case, the battery connector and the mating battery connector or the contact element and the contact surfaces are preferably arranged in such a way that direct contact occurs when the battery is pushed in. In particular, the mating battery connector is arranged behind the battery connector in the insertion direction of the battery compartment. This can enable further time savings. If the contact element and contact surfaces are provided, then the contacts of the contact element are arranged resiliently in such a way that the contacts can recede when the battery compartment is pushed in. In the contacted state, the contacts are in contact with the contact surfaces with a contact pressure.
- removing the battery compartment from the battery recess,
- releasing an electrical contact between the battery compartment and the battery,
- wherein the battery makes electrical contact with at least one electrical component of the base body exclusively via the battery compartment
- and removing the battery from the battery compartment
According to an advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the method according to the invention for removing a battery from a rotary knob comprising the steps of releasing an interlock between the battery compartment and the body, and removing the battery compartment by spring loading the battery compartment through a first shell opening of the body. In this case, for example, a spiral spring can be used, which loads the battery compartment in the inserted state with a spring force in a direction opposite to the direction of insertion. This spring force supports or enables the removal of the battery in a simple manner.
Alternatively or additionally, the method according to the invention can preferably include the steps of releasing a lock between the battery compartment and the base body, which has a first casing opening and a second casing opening, applying a force to the battery compartment through the second casing opening, and removing the battery compartment via the first mantle opening. The battery can thus be removed from the battery recess in a simple and inexpensive manner.
The method according to the invention for inserting the battery into the turning knob and/or the method according to the invention for removing the battery from a turning knob can preferably be carried out with a turning knob according to the invention, as described above. In particular, the methods according to the invention can be carried out with a rotary knob according to one of claims 1 to 8. The rotary knob according to the invention is preferably designed in such a way that a method according to the invention for inserting the battery into the rotary knob, in particular a method according to one of

Of course, these aspects can be implemented in any combination with the aforementioned inventive features:
The turning knob for actuating a cylinder adapter preferably comprises a base body with a first holder, a drive, a coupling slide which can be driven by the drive, in order to rotate the turning knob by a decoupled To bring state into a coupled state for actuating the cylinder adapter, and a drive pocket, in which the drive is arranged, and which can be inserted into the first holder.
The base body is preferably at least partially in the form of a hollow cylinder and has a lateral surface, with the first holder being arranged on an inner side of the lateral surface.
The drive pocket preferably has a shape that is essentially complementary to a shape of the first holder, with the first holder in particular being designed to be rotationally asymmetrical.

The
The
The

Furthermore, the
In
The second

As an alternative to removing the
The insertion of the
In
The
The

The
The rotary knob 1 is mounted and held within the
By providing a large number of

The

As already described above, the
After the
