- This oil is separated from the pumped gases in an oil mist separator (not shown in the figure), so that the air leaving the outlet 3 can be removed from the oil that it contains before to be pushed back into the atmosphere.
- the pumping chamber 2 is also connected to a heat exchanger V1 with an integrated fan (not shown) which serves to cool the pumping chamber 2 which heats up during operation of the pump.

- the half-cylinder 6 covers only the upper fins 5 of the drive motor, the lower fins 16 then appearing in the lower part of the drive motor 1.
- the half-cylinder 6 is removable, which has the advantage that it is easily possible to access the drive motor 1 in the case of control and thorough cleaning.
- Examples of upper surfaces are those designated in FIG. 2 by reference numerals 8, 9, 10 and 11 for the pump chamber 2 and reference numerals 12 and 15 for the drive motor 1 .

- the oil mist separator comprises a common support block to the filter and the heat exchanger for the oil which makes it compact, accessible and easily cleaned.
- the rotary vane vacuum pump comprises a pumping chamber 2 which can be like that of Figures 1 and 2 and which is connected to a drive motor 17.
- the latter has the particularity to comprise a double jacket having an outer portion formed of a cylinder 18, visible in Figure 3, all or almost all of which is smooth on the outside.
- the inner part of this jacket which is in fact the motor housing not visible in FIG. 3, contains, in known manner, the usual components of a rotary vane vacuum pump motor, which may be an asynchronous motor.
- the outer surface of the cylinder 18 is smooth, unlike the first embodiment where the outer surface (see Figure 2) is generally provided with fins 16 cooling.
