Das führt zu einer Verkürzung der Produktionszeit und zu einer Verlängerung der Standzeit der Fräswerkzeuge, mit der die Ausklinkung hergestellt wird, was insbesondere dann äußerst vorteilhaft ist, wenn Granitplatten für den Waschtisch verwendet werden, die sehr hart und damit schwer zu bearbeiten sind. Dadurch, dass die Ausklinkung schmal ist, kann auch die Platte dünn gewählt werden, was einerseits das Design des Waschtisches positiv beeinflussen kann, andererseits aber auch die Kosten, insbesondere bei Verwendung teurer Stein- oder Kunststeinplatten reduziert. Da der Rand des Waschbeckens sehr dünn ausgebildet ist, ist es in einer etwas einfacheren Ausgestaltung des Waschtisches auch möglich, das Waschbecken in die Aussparung ohne Ausklinkung einzusetzen, sodass der dünne Rand plan auf der Oberseite der Platte aufliegt.
