B. verrastbaren Profilstreifen oder Schieberverschlüssen ausgestattet sein. Wiederverschlüsse sind allerdings aufwendig und teuer. In funktionsmäßiger Hinsicht haben sie den Nachteil, dass sie steif sind und dadurch der Folienbeutel vor seinem Gebrauch nicht platzsparend gefaltet werden kann. Ferner besteht die Möglichkeit, Folienbeutel durch Verwendung einer separaten Verschlussklemme zu verschließen. Die Benutzung von Verschlussklemmen ist erklärungsbedürftig. Wird der Folienbeutel jedoch nicht dicht ausgeführt, so dass erwärmte Luft und Wasserdampf ungehindert entweichen können, verliert er seine Schutzwirkung und das Lebensmittel kann während des Erwärmprozesses austrocknen. Optional kann auch zusammen mit dem Lebensmittel eine Flüssigkeitsmenge in den Folienbeutel eingefüllt werden, welche ebenfalls durch die Wärmeeinwirkung zusätzlich verdampft.
