Description
The invention relates to a roof extension system for buildings.
Due to the evolution of standards concerning the insulation of buildings, in particular residential houses, such as individual pavilions, which are becoming more and more demanding, associated with an increase in the price of energy, buildings already built require intervention to improve their insulation. One of the methods used is to carry out external thermal insulation (or ITE) which consists in adding a layer of insulation to the exterior of the building walls. This creates an extra thickness, in particular at the gables of said building. However, at the gables of recent constructions carried out since around the end of the 1970s - beginning of the 1980s, the edges of the roof no longer protrude from the gables and are flush with the latter, a set of shore tiles achieving the finishing and sealing. Consequently, the installation on the gable, from the outside, of the additional insulation thickness means that the latter is not covered by the original roof at its level.
One solution is to redo the roof at the level of the isolated gables. But this causes the removal of all the tiles placed on the adjacent slopes of the gable over a width of two to three meters, which can represent more than half of the roof for an individual pavilion comprising two gables on both sides. other from the roof. This leads to significant additional costs and the need to involve a roofing professional like a roofer.
A second solution is to position a metal edge, in zinc for example, which covers the extra thickness due to the added insulation, opposite its level, and which overflows on the existing roof in order to ensure continuity of the waterproofing. . Such a solution, although inexpensive, is unsightly.

An object of the invention is to provide a roof extension device for added external insulation which is simple and inexpensive to install while allowing the aesthetics of the roof and of the building to be preserved.
For this purpose, there is provided, according to the invention, a roof extension device according to
Thus, the device is, therefore, placed on the level of the external insulation attached to the existing pinion while touching the level of the existing pinion. The means forming a batten make it possible to put in place one or two rows of tiles to extend the roof above the leveling of the external insulation added in a simple manner without modifying the aesthetics of the whole of the roof, the device extension then being hidden between the tiles and the added external insulation.

The intermediate element is open at each of its ends and has a
From a manufacturing point of view, the
