- the o-ring seals 26 positioned within the annular grooves or recesses 25 permits the projection portion 24 is to be sealingly mounted within the annular bore 18 by securing the adapter member 20 with the bolt members 28 engaging the threaded openings 30 in the planar surface 19 of the cast sidewall 15.

- This protection ledge minimizes the likelihood that a force could fracture the junction between the adapter member and the cast sidewall of the fluid housing. This structure provides a longer operating life of the fluid pumping device.

Claims (5)
- Fluidpumpvorrichtung für Erdöl oder chemische Fluide, umfassend:(a) ein gegossenes Fluidgehäuseteil (11) mit einem Einlass (13) zu oder einem Auslass (13) von der Fluidpumpvorrichtung und mit einer Seitenwand (15); und(b) eine Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12), die im besagten Fluidgehäuseteil (11) angeordnet ist, um mit dem besagten Einlass (13) zu oder dem besagten Auslass (13) von der Fluidpumpvorrichtung in Eingriff zu gelangen und zu kommunizieren, wobei die Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) an der besagten Seitenwand (15) austritt, gekennzeichnet durchein Flanschadapterelement (20), das direkt an der Außenseite des gegossenen Fluidgehäuses (11) befestigt und strukturell so angeordnet ist, um mit der besagten Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) zu kommunizieren,
wobei das besagte Flanschadapterelement (20) eine sich durch dieses hindurch erstreckende axiale Bohrung (22) und einen männlichen Vorsprungabschnitt (24) umfasst, der strukturell so angeordnet ist, dass er in das gegossene Fluidgehäuse (11) zur Kommunikation mit der besagten Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) eingreift; wobei der besagte männliche Vorsprungabschnitt (24) wenigstens eine ringförmige Nut (25) enthält, die sich um diesen herum erstreckt; und
wobei jede Nut der wenigstens einen ringförmigen Nut (25) in dem männlichen Vorsprungabschnitt (24) ein O-Ring-Element enthält, um das besagte Flanschadapterelement (20) gegenüber dem besagten Fluidgehäuse (11) abzudichten. - Fluidpumpvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, worin die besagte Seitenwand (15) des gegossenen Fluidgehäuses (11) im Wesentlichen senkrecht zu dem Ausgang der besagten Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) aus dem Fluidgehäuse angeordnet ist.
- Fluidpumpvorrichtung nach Anspruch 2, worin die Seitenwand (15) des besagten Fluidgehäuses (11) eine ringförmige Aussparung (18) aufweist, die sich um den Ausgang der besagten Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) herum erstreckt.
- Fluidpumpvorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, worin der besagte männliche Vorsprungabschnitt (24) strukturell so angeordnet ist, dass dieser in die besagte ringförmige Aussparung (18) in der besagten Seitenwand (15) des besagten Fluidgehäuses (11) eingreift.
- Verfahren zum Bereitstellen einer Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) zur strukturellen Kommunikation mit dem Einlass (13) oder Auslass (13) einer gegossenen Pumpeinrichtung (10) für Erdöl und/oder ein chemisches Fluid, umfassend die folgenden Verfahrensschritte:a. Bohren einer Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) in die gegossene Fluidpumpvorrichtung, um mit dem Einlass oder Auslass darin in Eingriff zu gelangen und zu kommunizieren;b. direktes Befestigen eines Flanschadapterelements (20) zur Kommunikation mit der besagten Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) an der Außenseite der gegossenen Fluidpumpvorrichtung, um die Freigabe von Fluid aus der Pumpvorrichtung zu ermöglichen;wobei das besagte Flanschadapterelement (20) eine sich durch dieses hindurch erstreckende axiale Bohrung (22) und einen männlichen Vorsprungabschnitt (24) enthält, der strukturell so angeordnet ist, dass dieser in das besagte Fluidgehäuse (11) eingreifen kann, um mit der besagten Ablauf-/Entlüftungsrohrverbindung (12) zu kommunizieren;
worin der besagte männliche Vorsprungabschnitt (24) wenigstens eine sich um diesen herum erstreckende ringförmige Nut (25) enthält, und
wobei jede ringförmige Nut der wenigstens einen ringförmigen Nut (25) im besagten männlichen Vorsprungabschnitt (24) ein O-Ring-Element enthält, um das Flanschadapterelement (20) gegenüber dem besagten Fluidgehäuse (11) abzudichten.
