Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a waking mat and activity, of the type comprising a plurality of rigid panels articulated to each other by flexible joints, and attachment means for arranging the mattress in at least a first and a second configurations.
  • Awakening and activity mattresses of the above-mentioned type are known, in which each panel is formed by a foam plate housed in a respective chamber of a cover. Each chamber is bounded by stitches linking the opposite sides of the cover to one another. The articulation of the different panels relative to each other is along the stitches.
  • each foam plate is manually inserted into its respective chamber, which forces to have a chamber wider than the foam plate that is housed therein. As a result, the foam plate can move in its respective chamber. This results in the formation of large interstices between the panels, which reduce the insulation of the mattress with the ground, reduce its comfort by making the surface irregular, and may be a trap in which a child could get stuck.
  • GB 2,297,915 discloses a basket having an outer contour and comprising a plurality of rigid panels hinged to each other by seamless flexible hinges.
  • An object of the invention is to obtain a waking mat and activity resistant and adapted to be arranged in different configurations. Other objectives are to have a marginal cost of production reduced, to improve the insulation, comfort and / or safety of the mattress, and to have a large number of possible configurations of use for the mattress.
  • the awakening mat and activity 10, shown on the Figure 1 comprises a plurality of rigid panels 12, 14 articulated to each other by flexible hinges 16. It further comprises flexible flaps 18 interposed between certain panels 14, and members 20, 22 for attaching the mattress 10 in different configurations.
  • the mattress 10 has an outer contour 24 in the form of a polygon, here in the form of a regular hexagon.
  • It comprises a central region 26, substantially centered on the center of the mattress 10, and a peripheral region 28 delimiting the outer contour 24.
  • the central region 26 has a homothetic shape of that of the outer contour 24.
  • the peripheral region 28 extends from the central region 26 to the contour 24.
  • the mattress 10 also has a through slot 30 opening into an upper face 32 ( Figure 6 ) and in a lower face 34 of the mattress 10.
  • the through slot 30 extends from the outer contour 24 to the center of the mattress 10. It extends along a median of the polygon, between the panels 12, 14.
  • the upper face 32 is substantially flat.
  • the lower face 34 is irregular. It has bosses 36 and recesses 38.
  • the bosses 36 are formed by the rigid parts of the mattress 10, that is to say the panels 12, 14.
  • the recesses 38 are formed by the flexible parts of the mattress 10, c i.e. the joints 16 and the flaps 18.
  • the panels 12, 14 comprise a plurality of central panels 12, arranged in the central region 26, and a plurality of peripheral panels 14, arranged in the peripheral region 28.
  • the central panels 12 are stackable with each other.
  • Each central panel 12 has the shape of a polygon sector, here hexagon.
  • each central panel 12 has the shape of a quadrilateral having an angle of substantially 120 °, the bisector of this angle forming an axis of symmetry of the quadrilateral.
  • the central panels 12 are juxtaposed to each other so as to form together the regular polygon of the central region 26.
  • the central panels 12 are thus articulated to each other along the medians of the regular polygon of the central region 26.
  • Each central panel 12 is hinged to two other central panels 12, and two peripheral panels 14. Each central panel 12 is thus articulated to another panel 12, 14 along each of its sides.
  • the central panels 12 are here six in number.
  • the peripheral panels 14 are stackable with each other. Each peripheral panel 14 occupies the entire width of the peripheral region 28, that is to say that it extends from the central region 26 to the outer contour 24.
  • Each peripheral panel 14 has a substantially rectangular shape, in particular substantially square.
  • peripheral panels 14 are arranged along this side. These peripheral panels 14 are articulated to one another along a mediator of said side, said mediator being in the extension of a median of the regular polygon of the central region 26.
  • Each peripheral panel 14 is also articulated to a central panel 12.
  • Each peripheral panel 14 is hinged to another panel 12, 14 only along two of its four sides.
  • peripheral panels 14 are twelve in number.
  • Each flap 18 is disposed in the peripheral region 28. It is interposed between two peripheral panels 14, and delimits an angle of the outer contour 24.
  • Each flap 18 has a homothetic shape of that of a central panel 12.
  • each flap 18 thus has the shape of a quadrilateral having an angle of substantially 120 °, the bisector of this angle forming an axis of symmetry of the quadrilateral.
  • Said angle of 120 ° constitutes the angle of the outer contour 24 delimited by the shutter 18.
  • the flaps 18 are in this example six in number.
  • Each panel 12, 14 comprises a first large face 40, a second large face 42, opposite the first major face 40, and a peripheral edge 44.
  • the first large face 40 delimits a portion of the upper face 32 of the mattress 10.
  • the second major face 42 and the peripheral edge 44 each delimit a portion of the lower face 34 of the mattress 10.
  • the first major face 40 and the second major face 42 extend substantially parallel to each other.
  • the first large face 40 is larger than the second major face 42.
  • the peripheral edge 44 is beveled, that is to say that it is inclined relative to a perpendicular to the large faces 40, 42.
  • the peripheral edge 44 forms in particular an angle between 40 ° and 50 ° relative to said perpendicular .
  • Each panel 12, 14 comprises an upper fabric sheet 50 and a lower fabric sheet 52 together sandwiching a foam plate 54.
  • Each sheet of fabric 50, 52 is made of synthetic material, for example polyester.
  • the upper fabric sheet 50 delimits the first major face 40. It is integral with the upper fabric sheet 50 of each other panel 12, 14.

  • This bridge material 62 is interposed between the large upper fabric sheet and the lower large fabric sheet, both of which adhere to said material bridge 62.
  • Each hinge 16 is thus formed by a portion of the large upper fabric sheet, a portion of the large lower fabric sheet and a material bridge 62 connecting the foam plates 54 of the panels 12, 14 articulated to each other. other by said articulation 16.
  • the foam plates 54 of the various panels 12, 14 are independent of each other and spaced apart from each other. There is therefore no foam that extends into any articulation 16
  • each articulation 16 the large upper tissue sheet is in direct contact with the large lower tissue sheet. These large sheets of tissue adhere to one another in the hinge 16. They define between the joints 16 individual pockets 64, each pocket 64 containing the foam plate 54 of a panel 12, 14.
