Der Stand der Technik kennt verschiedene Vorrichtungen und Verfahren zum Verpacken bzw. Einwickeln von einzelnen, kleinen Artikeln, insbesondere Bonbons.
Die Anordnung, das Verfahren und die Vorrichtung gemäß den unabhängigen Ansprüchen ermöglichen es, Verpackungsfolie einzusparen. Dies wird erreicht, indem die Längsnaht mit Ultraschall versiegelt wird. Die Verwendung von ultraschallversiegelten Längsnähten in Kombination mit dem Doppeldreheinschlag ermöglicht eine äußerst schnelle und kostengünstige Herstellung bei gleichzeitiger Einsparung von Verpackungsfolie. Des Weiteren ist durch die Verwendung der Ultraschalltechnik eine absolut dichte Verpackung des Artikels möglich. Diese Vorteile werden erreicht durch eine Anordnung, umfassend eine Verpackungsfolie und einen in der Verpackungsfolie einzeln verpackten Artikel. Es wird also jeweils nur ein Artikel verpackt bzw. eingewickelt, so dass die Verpackungsfolie direkt auf der Oberfläche des Artikels aufliegt. Vorzugsweise werden auf diese Art Süßwaren, beispielsweise Bonbons, verpackt. An der Verpackungsfolie wird ein Doppeldreheinschlag ausgebildet. Zwischen den beiden Dreheinschlägen erstreckt sich definitionsgemäß die Längsnaht der Verpackungsfolie. Insbesondere erstreckt sich die Längsnaht zwischen den Enden der Verpackungsfolie. Diese Längsnaht ist gebildet durch zumindest eine Überlappung von zwei Lagen der Verpackungsfolie in Form einer Flossennaht.
