- A card switch (10) comprising:- a rocker switch (12) having a switching rocker (18) which is tiltable about a first horizontal axis (22) and which has an ON position and an OFF position;- an actuation assembly (14) having a one-armed switching lever (26) which can be actuated by means of a key card (24) and which at least partly covers the switching rocker (18); and- a cover cap (16) having a slot (40) for the insertion of a card (24) into the card switch (10), wherein the slot (40) is located above the first horizontal axis (22) in an installation position of the card switch (10) such that a card which can be inserted into the slot (40) in the installation position of the card switch (10) cannot fall out of the slot (40) due to gravity,characterized in that
