Claims (15)

  1. An edge bearing for slats of a base mattress, in particular for support slats for individual support elements for supporting a seating surface or reclining surface, having a receptacle (1), in particular a bag, for the end of at least one slat and having a fastening part (2) for fastening the edge bearing to a frame, in particular to a longitudinal frame bar,
    wherein the receptacle (1) is configured as a separate part which is vertically adjustably connected to the fastening part (2), which is vertically displaceably guided via at least one guide (4, 8) provided between the receptacle (1) and the fastening part (2) and which can be latched via latch elements (9, 10) provided at the fastening part (2), on the one hand, and at the receptacle (1), on the other hand, in at least two positions arranged above one another with respect to the fastening part (2),
    characterized in that
    the latch elements (10) provided at the receptacle (1) are attached to the receptacle (1) adjustably or pivotably between a latched position and an unlatched position.
  2. An edge bearing in accordance with claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the guide (4, 8) simultaneously serves for connecting the receptacle (1) to the fastening part (2), with, preferably, at least two guides (4, 8) being arranged next to one another, viewed in the transverse direction of the slat, via which guides the receptacle (1) can selectively be connected to the fastening part (2).
  3. An edge bearing in accordance with one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    the guides (4, 8) are configured with clearance such that the receptacle (1) is latchable to the fastening part (2) selectively in parallel with or inclined with respect to the plane of the seating surface or reclining surface of the base mattress.
  4. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    the receptacle (1) is guided at two sides (6, 7), in particular viewed transversely to the slat, at its front side (6) and at its rear side (7); and/or in that
    latch elements (9, 10) are associated with each guide (4, 8); and/or in that
    the guides (4, 8) are formed by rails (4) and corresponding rail receivers (8) which are provided at the receptacle (1), on the one hand, and at the fastening part (2), on the other hand.
  5. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    the latch elements (9, 10) are formed by latch projections (10) which are in particular elliptical in cross-section and by corresponding latch mounts (9) which are provided at the receptacle (1), on the one hand, and at the fastening part (2), on the other hand.
  6. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    the latch elements (10) provided at the receptacle (1) are attached to a hoop (11) arranged beneath the receptacle (1) and preferably connected via a film hinge to the receptacle (1), pivotably between the latched position and the unlatched position.
  7. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that
    the latch elements are formed by mutually engaging teeth (14, 15) provided at the receptacle, on the one hand, and at the fastening part (2), on the other hand; and
    the teeth (15) provided at one of the two parts (1, 2) are provided on or at a slider plate (16) which is displaceable between a latched position and an unlatched position, in particular by means of an eccentric device (17), or at a gear rack (29, 32) rotatable or displaceable between a latched position and an unlatched position.
  8. An edge bearing in accordance with claim 7,
    characterized in that
    the gear rack (29, 32) is rotatable or displaceable between the latched position and the unlatched position by means of a rotatable handle (31) or by means of a slider (34) having run-on chamfers (36, 37) which cooperate in the latching direction as well as in the unlatching direction with respectively associated counter-chamfers (38, 39) at the gear rack (36), with respective latching surfaces (40, 41) preferably adjoining the chamfers (36, 38) acting in the latching direction to achieve a blocking position.
  9. An edge bearing in accordance with claim 7 or claim 8,
    characterized in that
    the teeth (14) provided at the receptacle (1) represent a part segment of a gear whose axis coincides with the pivot axis of the receptacle (1); and/or
    in that the teeth (15) in the latched position on or at the slider plate (16) or at the gear rack (29, 32) engage from the outside, viewed in the transverse direction to the slat to be taken up, into the teeth (15) provided at the other one of the two parts.
  10. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the claims 1 to 5, characterized in that
    the latch elements (26) are adjustable by a screw rotation between a latched position and an unlatched position or are adjustable by a purely translational movement, in one direction preferably against a return spring (44).
  11. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    at least one spigot (25) in which a latch element (26) is supported in a retractable and extensible manner is provided at the part having the receptacle (1).
  12. An edge bearing in accordance with claim 11,
    characterized in that
    the spigots are each formed as sleeves (25) into which a corresponding bolt (26, 42) is inserted whose end facing the fastening part (2) forms or supports the latch element, with the other end of the bolt (26, 42) preferably projecting out of the sleeve (25) and being provided with an actuation device, in particular with a gripping plate (27, 35) or a lever (43), with, preferably, the sleeve (25) being provided with an internal thread into which the bolt (26) provided with a corresponding external thread can be screwed and unscrewed, or with, preferably, the bolt (42) being guided axially displaceably in the sleeve (25), in particular by means of a pivot lever (43) which engages at the bolt (42), whose one end is supported at the sleeve (25) and whose other end is configured as an actuation handle.
  13. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    the receptacle (1) is connected or connectable to the fastening part (2) via a spring body, with, preferably, the receptacle (1) and the spring body being two separate parts which are in particular releasable connectable to one another.
  14. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    the receptacle or the spring body is connected or connectable to the fastening part (2) via a separate sliding part (28), with, preferably, the sliding part (28) having one or more spigots, in particular two spigots, onto which a receptacle can be placed, in particular clipped, directly or via a spring body.
  15. An edge bearing in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that
    a plurality of latch elements (9) are arranged above one another with a small spacing at the fastening part (2) and/or at the receptacle part (1); and/or in that
    the fastening part (2) has a very small thickness, in particular less than 4 mm, preferably approximately 2 mm.
