Unter einem Druckergerät soll ein Gerät verstanden werden, das zum Drucken auf flache zu bedruckende Güter während des Durchlaufs der flachen Güter durch das Gerät ausgestattet ist. Bei einem Stau von flachen zu bedruckenden Gütern im Transportpfad und Störungen des Durchlaufs der flachen Güter, zwecks Reinigung der Sensoren und der Transportelemente und zur Entleerung das Tintenauffangbehälters ist eine Entnahme einer kastenförmigen Baueinheit aus dem Druckergerät vorgesehen.
