Abstract

A gas turbine engine (12) has a vortex reducing device (20) therein that includes a retainer (30) and paddles (32). The retainer is arcuate in shape and has a plurality of circumferentially spaced slots (46) that extend through it. The paddles are circumferentially spaced about the retainer and extend outward therefrom. Each paddle is disposed between adjacent slots.
