Lüftungsgitter sind durch offenkundige Vorbenutzung bekannt. Derartige Lüftungsgitter dienen zur Abdeckung einer Maueröffnung in einer Mauer. Dazu wird ein in der Maueröffnung angeordneter Befestigungs-Rahmen verwendet, der auch als Mauerzarge bezeichnet wird. Die Maueröffnung kann beispielsweise eine Abluftöffnung einer Heizvorrichtung wie beispielsweise eines Kaminofens oder anderen Ofenarten oder eines Warmluft-Leitungssystems darstellen.Ventilation grilles are known through public prior use. Die Aufgabe wird durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Der Kern der Erfindung besteht darin, das Lüftungsgitter mit einem eine Öffnung umgrenzenden, flächig ausgebildeten Rahmen zu gestalten, sodass das Lüftungsgitter flächig an einer eine Maueröffnung umgebenden Mauer anbringbar ist. Insbesondere weist der Rahmen an einer äußeren umlaufenden Kante keine im Wesentlichen senkrecht zur Rahmenfläche orientierten Aufkantungen auf, wie sie beispielsweise aus dem Stand der Technik bekannt sind. Der Rahmen ist mit einer Rückseite der Mauer zugewandt und weist mindestens eine ebenfalls an der Rückseite angeordnete Klappe zum Verschließen der Öffnung auf. Darüber kann an der Rückseite des Rahmens eine Halteleiste vorgesehen sein, um die mindestens eine Klappe um eine Schwenkachse schwenkbar an dem Rahmen anzulenken. Dadurch ist es möglich, durch Verlagern der mindestens einen Klappe um die Schwenkachse die Luftzufuhr durch die Maueröffnung über das Lüftungsgitter in einen Raum zu steuern. Durch das flächige Anliegen des Rahmens des Lüftungsgitters an der Mauer wird das optische Erscheinungsbild des Lüftungsgitters verbessert. Das im Wesentlichen flächige Anliegen des Lüftungsgitters an der Mauer kann gemäß verschiedenen bevorzugten Ausführungsformen entweder durch eine putzbündige Anbringung des Gitters in einer Maueröffnung, durch ein Aufsetzen des Gitters auf eine gegenüber der umliegenden Mauer zurückversetzte Mauerzarge oder durch Aufsetzen auf eine putzbündige Mauerzarge erfolgen. Das Lüftungsgitter bildet mit der umgebenden Mauer im Wesentlichen eine gemeinsame Oberfläche und ist somit optisch in die Mauer integriert. Weiterhin entfällt ein markantes Überstehen des Gitters, das in Folge der Aufkantungen bei einem Lüftungsgitter gemäß dem Stand der Technik erforderlich war und bis zu 7 mm betragen konnte, sodass auch ein daraus resultierendes Verletzungsrisiko vermieden wird.
