Claims (9)

  1. Rib dial needle (1),
    with a needle body (2) which is provided with a hook (4) and, at a location spaced from the hook (4), has a needle coupling recess (16) surrounded by a bearing face (19) or alternatively a needle dial head (23) provided with a bearing face (19) on its periphery,
    with a coupling part (3) which at one end has a coupling dial head (15) adapted to the needle coupling recess (16) and carrying a counter bearing face (18) on its periphery, or alternatively a coupling part coupling recess (24) surrounded on three sides by bearing face (19) and adapted to the needle dial head (23),
    wherein on the coupling part (3) and the needle body (2), mutually adapted transverse bearing faces (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b) are provided which are in contact with each other for at least some of the time and are oriented transversely to the bearing faces (19) and counter bearing faces (18),
    wherein at least one of the transverse bearing faces (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b) is provided on a lug (21) which is arranged on the coupling part (3) or the needle body (2), and wherein a slot (22), which is formed in the needle body (2) or in the coupling part (3), is assigned to the lug (21),
    wherein the dimensions of the lug (21) and its assigned slot (22) are selected such that in the mounting and removal position, a friction connection occurs between the transverse bearing face (21a, 21b) of the lug (21) and its assigned transverse bearing face (22a, 22b) of the slot (22), and thus the coupling part (3) is connected to the needle body (2) by friction fit.
  2. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that the needle coupling recess (16) is a C- or U-shaped recess.
  3. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that the coupling dial head (15) is a circular dial head.
  4. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that the coupling part coupling recess (24) is a C- or U-shaped recess.
  5. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that the needle dial head (23) is a circular dial head.
  6. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that the needle coupling recess (16) together with the coupling dial head (15), or alternatively a coupling part coupling recess (24) together with the needle dial head (23), forms a hinge arrangement (14) with a pivot axis which is oriented transversely to the knitting machine needle (1).
  7. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one of the transverse bearing faces (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b) is arranged on a region surrounded by the needle coupling recess (16) or by the coupling part coupling recess (24).
  8. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one of the transverse bearing faces (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b) is arranged outside a region surrounded by the needle coupling recess (16) or by the coupling part coupling recess (24).
  9. Rib dial needle according to claim 1, characterised in that the dial head (15), the coupling part (13) and the needle body (2) have a uniform, mutually corresponding thickness (d1, d2).
