Abstract

The invention relates to a mascara brush for applying mascara to the eyelashes.

Such brushes are exposed to a variety of requirements. They should not only be able to apply mascara as efficiently as possible, that is, preferably in one go, without having to immerse the mascara brush several times. Numerous variants of mascara brushes have been proposed in the prior art, which meet these requirements with different emphasis. In the past, the main focus has been on finding a bristle stock whose bristles, depending on their specific diameter and concrete hardness, have exactly the different length that is optimal for one Good compromise in meeting the above requirements.

The invention thus consists in that the bristle stocking comprises bristles which consist of a bristle trunk and an eyelash retention member adjoining the bristle so that a bristle is provided with an eyelash retention member in the integral (and usually integrally formed). In other words, it can be said that the eyelash retaining member in the form of the retaining projection is designed as a thickening on an otherwise usually conventional, slender bristle, i. This thickening is preferably located directly at the distal end of the bristle or in the upper third of the bristle, which adjoins the distal end of the bristle. In this case, as already indicated, a conventional, slender bristle is understood to mean an elongate, rod-like structure of its geometry whose largest average diameter is preferably smaller by at least a factor of 10 than its length.

The function of the eyelash retainer can be thought of as follows:

This tendency counteract the eyelash retention organs according to the invention.
