Description

DOMAINE TECHNIQUE DE L'INVENTIONTECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a multi-socket electrical box comprising at least two orifices giving access respectively to a flat conductor intended to be connected to a power line. At least two flat conductors have connection means for receiving plugs of an external plug.

ETAT DE LA TECHNIQUE ANTERIEURESTATE OF THE PRIOR ART

The use of multi-socket electrical boxes is widely used to connect several electrical devices to the mains via a power cord and a single electrical outlet. Indeed, a single power strip socket allows to connect several electrical devices to the sector.

Multi-socket electrical boxes include internal power outlets. Said internal sockets generally comprise at least two holes for each to accommodate a pin of an external plug inserted into the socket outlet. The internal power outlets may also contain means of connection to the ground. These connection means may comprise a pin or connection lugs having in particular the shape of a lyre.

The electrical devices may include an external power supply generally intended to be directly connected to the multi-outlet power supply unit.

The phase neutral distribution is generally performed in different ways by flat conductors. The conductor may in particular be made from a metal section folded in two along an axis of symmetry. This low cost of production solution has the failure to provide a medium electrical connection and to create overheating at the points of connection.

The flat conductor can also be made by assembling two conductive strips face to face. The strips are for example assembled by a clinching operation. Indeed, the two metal strips are fixed to one another by stamping between a punch and a die.

These two production techniques require specific tools to ensure the folding or clinching operation.

The earth distribution is often carried out by a specific driver adapted to the different connection formats of the grounding plug. Example: by pinching in Germany, by a card in France. Consequently the distribution of the neutral and earth phase is not realized by identical conductors with the industrial impact of having to supply, manage and store several references.

We know the documents US 2007/184703 , EP0809333 and DE29920706 describing multi-socket electrical boxes having the features of the preamble of claim 1.

EXPOSE DE L'INVENTIONSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The invention therefore aims to overcome the drawbacks of the state of the art, so as to provide a multi-socket electrical box whose implementation is optimized.

To this end, the subject of the present invention is a multi-tap electrical box according to claim 1. In a multi-socket electric box according to the invention, the configuration of the connection zones of a corrugation having two edges spaced apart from one another may allow to provide a tight positioning of a plug of an external plug by selecting a distance between the two parallel edges substantially less than the diameter of the plug provided to be inserted. Preferably, the two edges of the connection zone of a corrugation are substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of said conductor.

Advantageously, the corrugations delimiting connecting zones comprise an axis of symmetry substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the conductor.

Avantageusement, le conducteur comporte plusieurs ondulations réparties de manière périodique selon l'axe longitudinal dudit conducteur.Advantageously, the conductor comprises a plurality of corrugations distributed periodically along the longitudinal axis of said conductor.

According to a particular embodiment, the multi-socket electrical box comprises a third identical conductor intended to be connected to the ground.

Advantageously, the multi-tap electrical box comprises means for positioning the conductors so that the connection areas of said conductors are aligned with the orifices.

Advantageously, the positioning means are made of insulating material.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE D'UN MODE DE REALISATIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT

The multi-socket electrical box (1) according to the various embodiments of the invention comprises a box defining an internal volume in which at least two flat conductors 10 are positioned. Said flat conductors are intended to be connected to an electrical line P, N , especially at phase P and at neutral N.

The box comprises at least two internal current taps respectively having two orifices 3A, 3B. Each orifice 3A, 3B respectively gives access to a connection zone 14A of a separate flat conductor 10. Said connection areas 14A are intended to receive the mating plugs of an external plug 100. Each flat conductor 10 has two parallel main faces extending along a longitudinal axis Y of the flat conductor, ie over the entire length of said conductor.

As shown on the figure 1 each flat conductor 10 comprises undulations 14 delimiting the connection areas 14A intended to receive the male plugs 101. Each flat conductor 10 comprises at least one section 12 comprising a corrugation forming the connection zone 14. The connection zones 14A have longitudinal axes Y2 substantially parallel to each other. In addition, the connection areas 14A have longitudinal axes Y2 substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis Y of the flat conductor 10. Each flat conductor 10 comprises at least two 12-conductor sections respectively having a connection zone 14A.

According to one embodiment of the invention shown in figure 1 , the sections 12 of a conductor 10 are connected to each other by two straight strips 12A. A first end of a straight strip 12A of a first section 12 is connected to the corrugation 14 of said section and the second end is connected to one end of another straight strip 12A of a second section 12. Preferably, as represented on the figure 1 the rectilinear strips 12A adjacent to two distinct sections 12 are connected to each other by forming an opening angle α. This local deformation of the conductor 10 associated with its positioning in the case increases both its rigidity and elasticity.

The connection zone 14A of a corrugation has two edges spaced apart from one another so as to allow the tight positioning of a plug of an external plug 100. According to an advantageous embodiment shown in FIG. figure 2 the two edges of the connection zone 14 are substantially parallel. The distance between the two parallel edges is substantially less than the diameter of the plug of an external plug 100.

Each corrugation 14 comprises a flared zone 14B connected to the connection zone 14A. Said flared zone 14B has two edges spaced from each other so as to allow interlocking positioning of a corrugation of another conductive strip. More specifically, the connection zone 14A of a first section 12 of a first flat conductor 10 may be placed inside a flared zone 14B of a section 12 of a second flat conductor. This positioning respects the dielectric distances between the first and second conductors. As shown on the figure 2 this arrangement is useful when a third flat conductor 10 identical to the other two flat conductors is present in the housing.

For example, the third flat conductor 10 is particularly intended to be connected to the earth (T). The multi-socket electrical box then comprises electrical connection means 17 allowing the connection between said third conductor 10 and the earth terminal of an external plug 100. The standards for making the earth connections may be different depending on the country. As an exemplary embodiment, as shown on the figure 3 the electrical connection means 17 comprise on the one hand a first lug intended to be inserted and connected in a connection zone 14A of the third flat conductor 10 and, on the other hand, a second cylindrically-shaped lug intended to protrude from the outside of the power strip box for connection with an external plug 100. This type of embodiment shown in FIG. figure 3 is particularly intended for a French production standard. The second lug may also be in the form of a lyre so as to be adapted for example to a German production standard.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the corrugation 14 comprises an axis of symmetry X substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis Y of the conductor 10. Said conductor comprises a plurality of corrugations 14 distributed periodically along the longitudinal axis Y of said conductor .

The housing 1 comprises positioning means 16 of the flat conductors 10 so that the connection holes 14 of said conductors are aligned with the openings 3A, 3B of the housing 1. As shown in FIG. figure 4 , The positioning means 16 of the conductors 10 may preferably take the form of lugs protruding into the bottom of the housing. The flat conductors 10 are intertwined on both sides these pins and are thus held in position. Preferably, the positioning means 16 are made of insulating material and form an integral part of the electrical box. The electrical box is made in particular by molding. In addition, the positioning means 16 play a role of dielectric between the conductors 10 placed in the housing 1.

According to all the preferred embodiments as represented on the figure 4 , the multi-tap electrical box comprises electrical interconnection means 18 allowing the connection of the flat conductors 10 to a power cord 19. The power cord 19 having at least two electrical wires is intended to connect the multi-tap electrical box to the mains . The electrical interconnection means 18 comprise lugs intended to fit respectively in a connection zone 14A and thus respectively connect to a flat conductor 10. The electrical wires of the power cord 19 are connected to the electrical interconnection means 18 by screwing means or welds.

    - a connection zone (14A) delineated by two edges that are parallel to an axis (X), spaced apart from one another and between which a male pin (101) of an electrical plug (100) is intended to be introduced,
    - a flared zone (14B) delineated by two edges that are oblique with respect to the axis (X) and respectively extend the two edges of the connection zone (14A), the multi-socket electrical housing being characterized in that the flared zone is then delineated by two other edges that are parallel to the axis (X) and extend the two oblique edges, the two parallel edges of the flared zone (14B) being sufficiently spaced apart from one another to enable coplanar positioning of the connection zone (14A) of a first flat conductor (10) within the flared zone (14B) of a second flat conductor (10), while respecting the isolation distances that are necessary between phase (P), neutral (N) and earth (T) lines to which the first and second conductors are intended to be linked.
  2. Multi-socket electrical housing (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the two edges of the connection zone (14A) of an undulation (14) are substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (Y) of said conductor (10).
  3. Multi-socket electrical housing (1) according to Claim 2, characterized in that the undulations (14) delineating connection zones (14A) have an axis of symmetry (X) substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (Y) of the conductor (10).
  4. Multi-socket electrical housing (1) according to either one of Claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the conductor (10) includes a plurality of undulations (14) that are distributed periodically along the longitudinal axis (Y) of said conductor.
  5. Multi-socket electrical housing (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it includes an identical third conductor (10) that is intended to be linked to earth (T).
  6. Multi-socket electrical housing (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it includes means (16) for positioning the conductors (10) such that the connection zones (14A) of said conductors (10) are aligned with the orifices (3A, 3B).
  7. Multi-socket electrical housing (1) according to Claim 6, characterized in that the positioning means (16) are made of insulating material.
