Diese wird neben der stärkeren Bindung beim Beschichten durch Galvanisieren auch dadurch erreicht, dass auch Hinterschnittstrukturen gleichmäßig und vollständig beschichtet werden können, zum Beispiel Grundkörper mit Verklammerungsstrukturen oder Raugussbuchsen, welche in Spritzverfahren schwer zugänglich sind. Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Bindung von Nickel beispielsweise zum Grauguss beständiger ist als die Bindung zwischen Aluminium und Grauguss.
