Description

The invention relates to a shelf assembly, comprising at least two vertically mounted profiles with a plurality of recesses for selectively hanging shelves, wherein at least two spaced hooks are provided or attachable to each shelf, as well as with an attached to the shelf lighting device according to the preamble of claim 1.

This profile can be plugged onto the front edge of the shelf. Preferably, the profile strip should extend over the entire length of the shelf and be provided with an integrated power supply. The FR 2 731 885 A discloses a shelf assembly of vertically mountable profiles with recesses for hanging shelves. Each shelf has at least two hooks and a lighting device in the form of a fixed to the shelf fluorescent tube. The hooks are electrically conductive and each contacted with a connecting and connecting element. The vertically mountable profiles are also made of a conductive material and can be connected to a power source. When hanging the respective shelf, an electrical connection between the power source via the vertical profiles, the hooks and the connecting and connecting elements is formed to the fluorescent tube.

With this arrangement, the bulky fluorescent tube as a whole and its electrical components occupy a relatively large space, and the shape and size of the shelves are determined by the fluorescent tube and therefore can not be arbitrarily designed. From the foregoing, it is therefore an object of the invention to provide a further developed shelf assembly comprising at least two vertically oriented profiles with a plurality of recesses for selectively hanging shelves, wherein in each shelf at least two spaced hooks are provided or attachable. The groove-shaped recesses, in particular for the light-emitting diodes, are chosen in particular with regard to their depth such that the radiation energy generated by the light-emitting diodes exits only in a direction substantially below the respective suspended shelf without additional diaphragms.

The shelf is formed in a preferred embodiment as a slot bottom and there are the groove-shaped recesses in the existing webs of a correspondingly shaped shelf.

Claims (14)

1. A shelf assembly comprising at least two vertically mountable profiles (13) with a plurality of recesses for optionally engaging shelf bases (1), wherein at least two offset hooks (5) are provided or attachable at each shelf base (1) and with an illumination device attached at the shelf base (1), wherein the offset hooks (5) are made from an electrically conductive material or have an electrically conductive coating and are respectively contacted with a connecting and contact element, wherein the profiles (13) are also made from a conductive material or have a conductive coating and are connectable with a power source so that an electrical connection is provided from a power source over the profiles (13), the hooks (5) and the connecting- and contact elements to the illumination device when engaging the respective shelf base (1),
   wherein the illumination device includes light emitting diodes or lines of diodes, and

4. The arrangement according to claim 3, wherein the price or indicator tag (19) is fixated at a forward longitudinal side of the shelf base (1), in particular within a slot cavity (18).
