Abstract

A waste outlet assembly (10) for a urinal has a body (14) mountable substantially sealing on a urinal waste outlet pipe. The body (14) defines a through passage with a downstream opening (22) and a flexible closure flap (26) located adjacent the downstream opening (22). The closure flap (26) is biased so as to overlap the edges thereof to substantially close the opening (22), the closure flap (26) being capable of flexing away from the opening (22) to open the opening (22).
