Claims (18)
- Backrest for a seat of a stool or chair with two back supports (3.1) that are arranged laterally adjacent to one another and secured in a springy fashion, each of which is connected to a separate, essentially vertically orientated first carrier part (4.1) of a substantially L-shaped support member (4), whose second carrier part is fastened pivotably against a spring force about a horizontal axis (5 or 39, respectively) on a seat understructure (40) characterized by a guide bar (43) that in the rest position is orientated substantially perpendicularly to the support members (4), which guide bar (43) is pivotably supported in or on the seat understructure (40), and to the ends of which guide bar (43) is pivotably connected one of the two support members (4), respectively, in such a way that upon movement of one back support (3.1) to the front or to the rear the other back support (3.1) is moved in the opposite direction, respectively.
- Backrest according to claim 1, characterized in that the ends of the guide bar (43) are pivotably connected to the second carrier parts (4.2) preferably by means of a ball joint (44.1) that is supported in an elastically deformable sleeve.
- Backrest according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the guide bar (43) is connected centrically between the connecting points to the support members (4) in a pivotable way on the seat understructure (40).
- Backrest according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the guide bar (43) is guided in arc-shaped guide grooves (54) provided in or on the seat understructure (40) whose imaginary axes extend parallel to the pivot axis (39) of the support members (4) and, relative to the front end of the chair, are curved from the top to the rear and to the bottom.
- Backrest according to claim 2, characterized in that the second carrier parts (4.2) each have an upwardly oriented projection (47) and in that the projections (47) are supported by springs (46) that, in the rest position of the L-shaped support members (4, 5) are uniformly pressure-loaded.
- Backrest according to claim 5, characterized in that the springs (46) are coil springs whose longitudinal axis are perpendicular to the pivot axis (39) of the support members (4) and are arranged in the area of the seat understructure (40).
- Backrest according to claim 6, characterized in that pressure plates (48) are mounted on the projections (47) and are supported on the springs (46) by means of plungers (49).
- Backrest according to any one of the claims 5 to 7, characterized in that the pretension of the springs (46) is changeable.
- Backrest according to claim 8, characterized in that the springs (46) with their ends opposing the pressure plates (48) rest against blocks (50) that are mobable in the longitudinal direction of the springs which blocks are supported on cams (52) of a camshaft (51) that is turnable from the exterior.
- Backrest according to any one of the claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the guide bar (43) is attached to the seat understructure (40) supported by means of springs (60) in such a way that this seat understructure (40) upon pivoting of the support members (4) is movable to the front or to the rear relative to a seat frame (38).
- Backrest according to any one of the claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the back/supports (3.1) preferably are attached to the first carrier parts (4.1) so as to be pivotable about substantially vertically oriented axis lines.
- Backrest according to any one of the claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the back supports (3.1) are attached to securing members (7) which are slidable along the first carrier parts (4.1).
- Backrest according to any one of the claims 1 or 12, characterized in that the two back supports (3.1) are connected to one another by means of an elastically deformable transverse stay (9) whose strength is selected such that the two back supports (3.1) maintain their function as individual supports and the movability of one back support relative to the other back support is maintained to a limited extent.
- Backrest according to claim 13, characterized in that the spring force acting upon the support members (4) is changeable commonly for both support members (4).
- Backrest according to claim 14, characterized in that the two support members (4) can be fastened at different distances from each other along their common horizontal swivelling axis.
- Backrest according to claim 14 or 15, characterized in that each back support (3.1) is pivotable about a horizontal axis relatively to the first carrier part (4.1).
- Backrest according to claim 16, characterized in that each back support (3.1) is fastened by means of at least one elastically deformable spring element on a sevuring member (7), that can be fastened at different height positions along the respective first carrier part (4.1).
- Backrest according to claim 17, characterized in that on each securing member (7) a body (10) is attached that is pivotable against a spring force about a horizontally orientated pivot pin (12) wherein the body, in turn, is attached to a back support so as to be pivotably against a spring force about a vertically orientated pivot pin (14.2).
