Description

  • The present invention relates to a frame particularly capable for supporting curtains to be located on the external sides of palaces or buildings with great dimensions in order to protect the rooms from the sunbeams or the bugs.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • Roll-up curtains are already known. The curtains are used for regulating, modelling and modulating the light and the heat in order to obtain the highest thermal-visual well being and to protect the rooms from the bugs.
  • The curtains consist of a leaking cloth that diffuse the light or are totally opaque. Said cloths can be bought with or without side guides and are adaptable to great and small spaces, both inside and outside of the buildings.
  • All the curtains are manoeuvrable by means of various manual or motorised control device in order to be adapted to any type of use.
  • The technology used for obtaining the contours of the side guides and the rollers combined with the features of the darkening cloths allows to obtain the total dark in the rooms.
  • The curtains are applicable both inside both outside of the buildings and present the maximum resistance to the wind; therefore, they constitute a valid alternative to the traditional darkening systems.
  • The frame according to the invention is fitted both with manual and motorised control devices.
  • FEATURES AND AIMS OF THE INVENTION
  • The frame according to the present invention is planed for being applied on the external sides of continuous facades of buildings. Therefore, the frame presents connecting means for constructing vertical and horizontal series of curtains, which, besides protecting the rooms of the building, form an aesthetically and technically valid sequence of curtains.
  • The connecting means are find in the native place, which is in the facades on which the frames are applied. Generally, said connecting means consist of the walls of the buildings or of other known structures next to the walls and the windows of the buildings.
  • Every frame presents two supporting elements fixed to the external wall of the building, one on the right and the other on the left of the window for allowing the supporting the frame comprising the roller, the curtain, the sliding guides of the curtain (right and left) and the possible known motor rolling and unrolling the curtain.
  • Every supporting element is fixed to the external wall of the building on the right or on the left of the window for supporting a right or left bracket holding the frame.
  • The assembly of the frame is possible because of two brackets (right and left) fitted with fast and sure coupling means to the supporting elements holding the frame after the assembly.
  • Every bracket presents a male element, which is inserted in a female groove previewed in the cover closing the roller.
  • This coupling, once mounted, allows a valid stability of the frame and all its members.
  • A frame for curtains for external sides of continuous facades of buildings is obtained the main purpose of which consists in the easily of the assembly and in the stability of said frame. In addition, the group of the curtains supported by the respective frames is valid aesthetically and technically.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Other advantages, features and aims of the invention, may be more readily understood by referring to the accompanying drawings given as a non-limiting example, in which:
    • Fig. 1 shows a front view of two overlapped frames located on a facade of a building;
    • Fig. 2 is an axonometry of a supporting element to be fixed to a wall of the building on the right or on the left of the window;
    • Fig. 3 is an axonometry of a group comprising a supporting element, a closing cover of a roller and a bracket fixing the roller to the a bracket non completely fixed to the supporting element;
    • Fig. 4 is an axonometry of the group of Fig. 3 with the bracket totally fixed to the supporting element;
    • Fig. 5 is a front view of the bracket of the previous figures;
    • Fig. 6 is a front view of the closing cover:
    • Fig. 7 is an axonometry of the group comprising the supporting element, the closing cover of the roller and the bracket fixing the roller to the supporting element with the bracket totally fixed to the supporting element; and
    • Fig. 8 represents a partial sectional view of the members shown in Fig. 7.
    DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • The overlapped frames of Fig. 1 are identical. Every frame presents a central symmetry plane dividing the relevant frame in identical parts, in some cases interchanging, as the supporting element 1, the roller 2, the closing cover 3, the manoeuvring bar 4, the guides 5 and the curtain 6.
  • A closing cover 3a demonstrates that a second series of frames is found on the left of the shown frames. A third series, not shown, is locates on the right of said frames.
  • Fig. 2 represents a supporting element 1 essentially comprising a body 7, the hidden face 8 of which is fixed to an external side of a facade of a building near a window.
  • The body 7 is crossed by through holes 9a, 9b, 9c, housing clamping screws or the like for fixing the hidden face 8 in the pre-chosen position of the facade. The through holes 9a, 9b, 9c, extend, therefore, between the face in sight 10 of the supporting element 1 and the hidden face 8 to be fixed to the facade.
  • Two side faces 11 a, 11 b present threaded holes 12a, 12b, (with others two not shown), housing screws 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d, The screws 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d are used as hinges for fixing a bracket shown in the following figures. A third threaded hole 12c is aligned with the holes 12a, 12b.
  • A bracket 14 shown in Fig. 3 presents two slots 15a, 15b respectively arranged for making easier the assembly of the bracket 14 on the supporting element 1. For this purpose, the screws 13a, 13b are inserted into the slots 15a, 15b so that a stable position of the bracket 14 with respect to the supporting element is defined. The bracket 14 is so shaped that it presents a good resistance to the shearing and bending stresses with respect to a right line perpendicular to the lying of said bracket 14. In the position of Fig. 3, the bracket 14 is engaged on the supporting element 1 owing to a simple assembly consisting in screwing the screws 13a e 13b into the slots 15a e 15b.
  • This assembly allows a temporary stability of the bracket 14 with respect to the supporting element 1 and permits the fast and sure installation of the bracket 14 on said element 1.
  • The definitive assembly of the bracket 14 on the supporting element 1 takes place as represented in Fig. 4. The screws 13a, 13b are screwed in the slots 15a, 15b and a third screw 16 is locked in the through hole 17 found in the bracket 14.
  • A slider 18, integral with the bracket 14, protrudes from said bracket 14 for being introduced into a saddle 19 founding in the closing cover 3. Therefore, after the assembly of the bracket 14 on the supporting element 1, the cover 3 is mounted on the bracket 14 together with the roller 2.
  • Fig. 5 represents the bracket 14 with the screws 13a, 13b, the through hole 17 and the slider 18, This figure demonstrates the good resistance to the shearing and bending stresses with respect to a right line perpendicular to the lying of said bracket 14, since the bracket 14 presents the greatest dimension in said lying.
  • Fig. 6 represents schematically the assembly of the slider 18 on the saddle 19 of the cover 3. The assembly takes place in two phases. In a first phase, the slider 18 is put in the position 18i for being introduced into the saddle 19, while in a second phase the slider 18 is in the position 18b corresponding to limit stop of the slider 18 in the saddle 19. Therefore, for ending the movement of the slider a stopping wall 20 at the end of the saddle 19 is provided.
  • Fig. 6 shows the roller 2 mounted on the bracket 14. For fastening the obtained assembly, the slider 18 is fitted with a through hole 21 into which a clamping screw 22 is introduced, for definitively clamping the slider 18 on the cover 3. This definitive configuration of mounting of the frame according to the present invention is represented in Figures 7 and 8.
  • Fig. 7 represents the roller 2 mounted on the bracket 14 fixed to element 1 and clamping screws 22 tightened on the through hole 21.
  • Fig. 8 shows a sectional view of the roller 2 mounted on the bracket 14 fixed to the element 1 and the clamping screws 22 tightened on the a through hole21. The clamping screws 22 clamps on a nut 23 immovable in the cover 3.
