Die Zustellung der zweiten Kurve kann parallel oder etwa radial zur Drehachse des Sammelzylinders erfolgen. Mit einem vergleichsweise kleinen Hub können damit die Mittel gesteuert werden. Der Verstellvorgang muss dann abgeschlossen sein, wenn die umlaufenden Kurvenrollen des nächsten Nutzens den Bereich des abweichenden Kurvenabschnitts 23a der Kurve 23 passieren. Dadurch eignet sich die erfindungsgemässe Einrichtung insbesondere für hohe Druckgeschwindigkeiten von Digitaldruckmaschinen, beispielsweise von mehr als 2 m/Sek. Das Sammeln der Druckprodukte 17 auf dem Sammelzylinder 2 ist getrennt vom Querschneiden und Falzen. Die erfindungsgemässe Einrichtung eignet sich deshalb insbesondere in Zusammenhang mit einer digitalen Druckmaschine für die die sequenzielle Herstellung von Teilprodukten mit unterschiedlicher Anzahl von Druckbogen, beispielsweise zur Herstellung von Zeitungen. Es kann somit eine variable Anzahl von Druckprodukten zu Teilprodukten mit variablen Seitenzahlen zusammengestellt werden. Für unterschiedliche Formate sind keine manuellen Eingriffe erforderlich.
