Description
- The present invention relates to the coverings and panel application and refers to a device for fixing sound adsorbent panels and similar to a ceiling or to vertical or however tilted walls.
- The sound adsorbent panels are commonly fixed, through ordinary hardware accessories of known type, onto section bars of the type used for the plasterboard
- The use needs time and ability, also for the floor and building unevenness.
- For the application of said panels to the ceiling, proper section bars have been realized, onto which are applied plates with protruding sheet that is inserted in a panel throat. Such plates are inserted in an angled position and then are rotated in the work position.
- A drawback of said known plate means consists in that, even if of easy application, they need an appropriate section bar and they do not have blocking means in the right operating position.
- An object of the present invention is to propose a device for fixing sound adsorbent panels and similar fit to allow a fast application to wall, and particularly to ceiling, of sound adsorbent panels or other type onto ordinary plasterboard section bars.
- Other object is to propose a device fit to provide a sure and stable panels fixing.
- Referring to a ceiling installation, the device for fixing sound adsorbent panels and similar of the present invention has a base to be approached to the inferior surface of the section bar, preventively applied to ceiling, two lateral brackets with refolded superior parts, which take place respectively onto the flanks and the superior part of the section bar.
- The base has a refolded part protruding towards the bottom, which can be inserted into an appropriate throat of the panel to be supported.
- The device is applied in an angled position, then it is rotated into work position (the lateral brackets and their refolded superior ends are shaped and dimensioned for the aim). The shape and the dimensions of the device are such as to allow the application on common plasterboard section bars.
- The device comprises inner protuberances obtained in the superior refolded parts of the brackets, which serve to block the device in work position, after having rotated this latter in assembly phase, engaging the edges of the plasterboard profile.
- The device base has protruding ears, which facilitate the plate rotation in assembly or disassembly phase.
- The device can be used also onto vertical uprights, in order to support wall panels.
- The device can optionally be provided with holes for the insertion of self-tapping blocking screws onto the section bars, particularly in the vertical wall type assembly.
- The characteristics of the present invention are underlined in the following with particular reference to the attached drawings, in which:
- figures from 1 to 3 respectively show axial, lateral and plant views of the device for fixing sound adsorbent panels and similar, object of the present invention;
- figures 4 and 5 show axonometric views, from different angle-shots, of the device of figure 1;
- figures 6 and 7 show plant views of the device of figure 1 in two subsequent connection phase to a profile;
- figure 8 shows a cross-sectional view of the device of figure 1 connected to the profile that is fixed inferiorly to the horizontal wall of a ceiling;
- figure 9 shows one lateral, partial and partially sectioned view of the wall, of the profile and of two examples of the device of figure 8 in which the devices are fixing a panel
- With reference to the figures from 1 to 9,
numeral 1 indicates the device for fixing soundadsorbent panels 20 and similar object of the present invention. - The
device 1 is fit to fix the soundadsorbent panels 20 and similar to aprofile 30 of the sheet type with "C" section for fixed plasterboard structures, as an example through dowels, to awall 40 of a ceiling, made of any material, or, alternatively, of a vertical or tilted wall. -
Device 1 comprises abase 2 almost flat and fit to match the opposite face of theprofile 30 to thewall 40 and comprises twolateral brackets 3 almost perpendicular to thebase 2. - Every
lateral bracket 3 has an end fixed to thebase 2 and the opposite end refolded to form a fixing means 4 almost parallel to thebase 2 and fit to be inserted between thewall 40 and theprofile 30. - The device comprises also a
connection 6 having an end fixed to thebase 2 and the opposite end shaped for the insertion in aconnection fissure 21 of sound adsorbent andsimilar panel 20. - The
connection 6 is constituted of one sheet refolded from thebase side 2 opposite to thebrackets 3 and having a section shaped almost like a "J", "C" or "U". - Each
bracket 3 has a length, defined by the distance S between thebase 2 and the respective fixing means 4, almost equal to the thickness of theprofile 30 in such a way that, in the assembly condition A, the base and the fixing are adherent to the faces of the matching profile of the wall and opposite to this latter. - The fixing means 4 have a minimal mutual distance M equal to or longer than the
profile 30 width in order to allow the engagement ofdevice 1 in every longitudinal position ofprofile 30. - Two
lateral brackets 3 are fixed to opposite ends of twoparallel sides 5 of thebase 2 placed at a mutual distance L almost equal to the width of theprofile 30. In such a way it is possible, after the device engagement to the profile, to insert fixing means 4 between the profile and the wall through a simple rotation of the device, manually obtained - The
base 2, thelateral brackets 3, the fixing means 4 and theconnection 6 are in single body through shearing or cutting, bending and optional perforation of a metallic sheet, as an example made of galvanized ferrous material. - Each fixing means 4 has an at least approximately isosceles triangle rectangle shape, with a cathetus fixed to the respective
lateral bracket 3 and parallel to theside 5 of thebase 2 to whichsuch bracket 3 is fixed. - The isosceles triangle rectangle hypotenuse of the fixing means 4 is tilted of approximately 45° with regard to the
side 5 of thebase 2 to whichbracket 3 is fixed. - The opposite apex to the cathetus fixed to the
bracket 3 of each fixing means 4 has a stopping means 7 protruding towards thebase 2. - The two stopping means 7, in the assembly condition A, act onto the inner edges of the
profile 30 with "C" shaped section preventing thatdevice 1 may unintentionally rotate disengaging itself from the profile and causing the partial or total detachment of the panel. - Each
bracket 3 optionally has anhole 8 for an optional blocking to theprofile 30 screw useful, in case of fixing to vertical walls, in order to prevent the sliding of the device, under the weight of the panel, along the profile. - Every
side 5 of thebase 2 to which abracket 3 is fixed, has anextension 9 coplanar to thebase 2 and protruding fromsuch side 5. - Each
extension 9 extends along the respectiveopposite side portion 5 opposite to thecorrespondent bracket 3. - Such extensions can facilitate the manual rotation of the device to detach or to replace it.
- The operation of the
device 1 provides that it is inserted in one longitudinal position of the profile fixed to a ceiling. The manual rotation of the device blocks it to the profile, predisposing it to the fixing of the sound adsorbent panel through the insertion of the proper external edge of theconnection 6 in the connecting fissure21 ofsuch panel 20. - An advantage of the present invention is to provide a device for fixing sound adsorbent panels and similar fit to allow a fast application to wall, and particularly to ceiling, of sound adsorbent panels or other type onto ordinary plasterboard section bars.
- Other advantage is to provide a device fit to fix panels in a sure and stable way.
