Abstract
Sandal comprising straps (1) for fastening the foot joined to a main body or sole (2). The join between said straps (1) and the main body (2) is effected by means of gluing to which is added a reinforcement consisting in one or more lines of stitching (6).
The main body (2) may include lateral depressions (3) facilitating the coupling with said straps (1) in the corresponding join, and it may present a lower depression (4) en which is coupled and adhered a piece functioning as a sole (5). Moreover, the main body (2) may present rounded edges making it difficult for said piece (5) become unstuck.
Description
- As stated in the title of this specification, the object of this invention relates to a sandal whose essential aim is to provide sandal type footwear in which the join of the sole or main body of the sandal with the fastening straps for the foot displays greater resistance and durability than that of conventional sandals, for which said join is made be combining gluing and stitching, while in conventional sandals the said join is effected either by gluing or by stitching.
- Sandals are known having fastening straps for the foot joined to a main body or sole. In said conventional sandals, the main body is joined to the fastening straps for the foot by means of stitching or by means of gluing, giving rise to drawbacks relating to the fact that these joins by gluing or by stitching are insufficiently durable, and with the passage of time the straps separate from the main body with relative ease.
- In order to achieve the objectives and avoid the drawbacks stated above, the invention consists of a sandal having certain fastening straps for the foot joined to a main body or sole.
- As a novelty according to the invention, in the inventive sandal the join between the said straps and the main body is effected by means of gluing to which is added a reinforcement consisting of one or more lines of stitching.
- According to different embodiments of the invention, the said main body can include certain lateral depressions facilitating the coupling of the said straps in the corresponding join.
- Moreover, according to different embodiments, the said main body can display a lower depression in which is coupled and adhered a piece which functions as a sole. In this case, the main body can present certain rounded edges making it difficult for the said piece to become unstuck.
- With the structure that has been described, the sandal of the invention displays the main advantage that it is highly resistant in the join of the straps fastening the foot to the main body or sole of the sandal, in such a way that even after a long time and under conditions of use of the sandal that are notably severe, no unsticking or separation of the straps of the sandal takes place with respect to the main body, thus facilitating sandals with a durability very much greater than that of conventional sandals.
- Below, in order to facilitate a better understanding of this specification and forming an integral part thereof, a series of figures is attached in which, by way of illustration only and not limiting, the object of the invention has been represented.
- Figure 1.- Shows a perspective exploded view of a sandal embodied according to the present invention.
- Figure 2.- Shows a perspective schematic view of the sandal of the previous figure 1 once all its component pieces have been assembled.
- Given below is a description of an example of the invention making reference to the numbering adopted in the figures.
- So, the sandal of this example of the invention comprises a
main body 2 for support of the user's foot and with somestraps 1 for fastening the user's foot. - Also, the
main body 2 laterally presents somedepressions 3 facilitating the coupling of thestraps 1. - In order to connect the
straps 1 with themain body 2, the said straps are proceeded to be glued in thedepressions 3, afterwards adding a reinforcement consisting of some lines ofstitching 6. With this, a resistance is obtained very much greater than what would be achieved just with the lines of stitching or just with the gluing. - The main body itself 2 could constitute the sole of the sandal, though in the present example said
main body 2 includes alower depression 4 in which is coupled a piece functioning as a sole 5. - With the aim of making it difficult for the sole 5 to come unstuck with respect to the
main body 2, saidmain body 2 includes a rounding of its edges. With this, less leverage is exerted when treading and it becomes very difficult for the sole 5 to become unstuck from themain body 2.
Claims (4)

- SANDAL, according to claim 1, characterised in that said main body (2) comprises certain lateral depressions (3) facilitating the coupling with said straps (1) in the corresponding joining.
- SANDAL, according to any of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that said main body (2) comprises a lower depression (4) in which is coupled and adhered a piece functioning as a sole (5).
- SANDAL, according to claim 3, characterised in that said main body (2) comprises rounded edges making it difficult for said piece (5) to become unstuck.
