Abstract

A dispenser (260) for containing a supply of flexible web material and for dispensing a portion of the web material and severing the portion from the remaining web material in the dispenser. The dispenser (260) has a container (262) for enclosing a supply of the web material. Defined in the container is an opening (274) through which a portion of the web material can be dispensed. A panel (276) is hingedly connected to the container (262) and is movable between a shipping position covering the opening with an inner surface of the panel facing an interior of the container, and a dispensing position uncovering the opening and positioning the panel with the inner surface thereof facing outward. A track (278) is affixed to the inner surface of the panel (276), and a cutter engaged with the track and slidable therealong for cutting a portion of the web material dispensed through the opening and laid across the track when the panel is in the dispensing position.
