Haube und Abfallsackhaltering sind getrennt voneinander um die zumindest eine Achse schwenkbar. Im geschlossenen Zustand weisen Abfallsackhaltering und Haube eine waagerechte bzw. annähernd waagerechte Position auf. Hierdurch schützt die Haube den darunter liegenden Abfallsackhaltering und verhindert, dass beispielsweise Regen in den Abfallsack, der von dem Abfallsackhaltering gehalten wird, gelangt.
