Definitions
- the invention relates to a cam armor mechanism for a loom as well as to a loom equipped with such a mechanism and to a method for assembling such a mechanism.
- cam armor mechanics which comprise a series of oscillating levers in number equal to that of the frames of healds to be mounted on the loom, each oscillating lever being intended to be hitched to the loom.
- one of the frames and equipped with two rollers which cooperate with the two tracks of a complementary cam driven in rotation by a common shaft.
- the cams which are generally in number between four and twelve, must be mounted on their drive shaft. This assembly must be carried out with great precision in order to avoid or to limit to a very large extent the clearances between the conjugate tracks of the cams and the follower rollers.
- Such a mechanism of cam armor is known from FR 860 225 A .
- the frame of the mechanism defines two half-bearings on which are reported clamps or flanges forming the other half of the bearings after the common shaft equipped with the cams has been put in place on the half-bearings formed by the frame.
- This technique induces inaccuracies in the positioning of the shaft relative to the frame, so that the value of the distance between the axis of the camshaft and the axis of articulation of the oscillating levers can not be guaranteed with prediction, as well as the parallelism of these axes.
- the invention intends to remedy more particularly by proposing an armor mechanism in which the mounting and disassembly of the cams can be carried out on the machine itself, without loss of time, without resorting to specific tools and without affecting the accuracy of the positioning of their common drive shaft relative to the frame of the mechanical and oscillating levers cooperating with these cams.
- the invention relates to a weave mechanism for weaving looms, this mechanism comprising several cams mounted on a common drive shaft and provided with tracks of follower rollers themselves mounted on oscillating levers. , this drive shaft being supported by means of two orifices formed in two monobloc parts of the frame of mechanics and one of which is crossed by this tree.
- This mechanism is characterized in that the aforementioned shaft extends, from the first orifice and towards the second orifice, over a length less than the distance between these orifices, while removable means forming an extension and support connect the end of the shaft located between these orifices at the second port and while the difference between the distance between the orifices and the length on which the shaft extends between these orifices is greater than the width of a cam.
- a space is created between the end of the shaft and the part of the frame in which is formed the second orifice, which allows to use this space, before setting up the means forming extensions or after removal of these, to set up the cams on the tree already installed in the frame.
- the cams are placed individually on their drive shaft, so that it is not necessary to use a barrel, each cam having a mass and a size compatible with easy handling.
- the invention also relates to a loom equipped with a weave mechanism as previously described. Such a business is more economical, easier to configure and more reliable than known trades.
- the loom M represented at figure 1 comprises several heald frames, only one of which is visible in this figure with the reference 1.
- the various frames of the trade M are driven by a vertical oscillations movement represented by the double arrow F 1 and printed by a cam mechanism 10 of which the output levers 11 respectively attack connecting rods 12 associated with bent levers 13 and connected to each other and to the frames by connecting rods 14.
- the levers 11 are provided in number equivalent to the number of heald frames 1 and pivotally mounted, as represented by the double arrow F 2 , around the axis longitudinal axis X 15 of a common shaft 15 supported by the frame 16 of the mechanism 10.
- the mechanism 10 also comprises a plurality of complementary cams 18 each defining two tracks 18A and 18B on which are respectively supported rollers 19A and 19B carried by the levers 11.
- the cams 18 are mounted on a common shaft 20 which is supported by the frame 16 and of which a first end 20A carries a wheel 21 with conical teeth intended to cooperate with a pinion 22 with conical teeth and forming a gearbox for driving the wheel.
- shaft 20 about its longitudinal axis X 20 .
- the frame 16 is pierced with two holes 16A and 16B with a circular section and whose respective central axes are generally aligned with each other and with the X axis 20 when the shaft 20 is in position.
- the holes 16A and 16B are respectively formed in an intermediate rib 16C and in a side 16D of the frame 16 which are monobloc.
- a bearing 23 is disposed in the orifice 16A and can support the shaft 20 which extends on either side of the rib 16C. From the orifice 16A, the shaft 20 extends towards the orifice 16B over a length L 20 which is strictly smaller than the distance D 16 between the orifices 16A and 16B, that is to say the distance between the facing faces 16C and 16D portions of the frame 16. It is thus created a space E shown in gray on the figure 3 of width l E equal to the difference of the distance D 16 and the length L 20 .
- the space E can be used to place the cams 18 on the shaft 20 to the extent that the width E is greater than the width 18 of the cams 18.
- a cam 18 can be inserted in the space E in the direction of the arrow F 3 , that is to say in a direction generally perpendicular to the axis X 20 , this cam 18 being inserted between the side 16D of the frame 16 and the free end 20B of the shaft 20.
- the central bore 18C of the cam 18 is generally aligned with the axis X 20 , it is possible to move this cam in the direction of the arrow F 4 to the figure 3 , that is to say in the direction of the rib 16C, for this cam to surround the end 20B of the shaft 20. It can then angularly orientate the cam 20 to align an axial bore thereof provided for this effect with an angular indexing rod 24 previously placed in the corresponding aligned holes of the cams already installed on the shaft 20.
- the end 20B of the shaft 20 is connected to the side 16D of the frame 16 by means of an end piece 40 and a sleeve 50 secured respectively with the shaft 20 and with the side 16D.
- the tip 40 is intended to extend the shaft 20 in the direction of the orifice 16B and it is provided with a groove 40C intended to cooperate with a tenon 20C provided on the end 20B of the shaft 20, which allows to immobilize in rotation the elements 20 and 40 and thus secure the angular drive of the end piece 40 by the shaft 20.
- the tip 40 comprises a skirt 40D intended to surround the end 20B of the shaft 20 and bear against the cam 18 closest to this end 8, thus exerting on the stack of cams 18 a force represented by the arrows F 5 and directed towards a ring 25 mounted on the shaft 20 and forming a shoulder. This force allows blocking in rotation of the cams by adhesion.
- the end piece 40 is immobilized on the shaft 20 by means of screws 41 received in holes 40E of the end piece 40 and in threads 20E of the shaft 20.
- screws 41 received in holes 40E of the end piece 40 and in threads 20E of the shaft 20.

- This sleeve 50 comprises a bearing flange 50A on the outer face of the side 16D and extends in the direction of the rib 16C surrounding the end piece 40 and the end 20B of the shaft 20.
- a series of rollers 60 is interposed between the outer radial surface 40F of the tip 40 and the inner radial surface 50F of the sleeve 50, which allows to create a support bearing end 20D.
- Tabs 50G immobilized on the sleeve 50 by screws 50J make it possible to hold the rollers 60 in position.
- a 50K plug is removably mounted in the central opening of the sleeve 50 and makes it possible to mask the tip 40 and the screws 41.
- the elements 40 to 60 extend the shaft 20, so that its end is supported by the side 16D at the port 16B.
- bearing formed by the rollers 60 is not necessarily arranged at the level of the skirt 40D of the end piece 40 and could be arranged in any place along the length of the endpiece 40.
- the tip 40 extending the shaft 20 extends to the inside of the bore 16B where it is received with the interposition of a bearing formed of rollers 60.
- Screws 41 enable the end piece 40 to be secured to the end 20B of the shaft 20, this end being associated with a washer 70 for exerting on the cams 18 an axial force F 5 of rotationally fastening by adhesion.
- a 50K plug is used to isolate the tip 40 and the screws 41 from the outside.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cam armor mechanism for a loom as well as to a loom equipped with such a mechanism and to a method for assembling such a mechanism.
In certain known mechanics, the frame of the mechanism defines two half-bearings on which are reported clamps or flanges forming the other half of the bearings after the common shaft equipped with the cams has been put in place on the half-bearings formed by the frame. This technique induces inaccuracies in the positioning of the shaft relative to the frame, so that the value of the distance between the axis of the camshaft and the axis of articulation of the oscillating levers can not be guaranteed with prediction, as well as the parallelism of these axes.
To obtain a good positioning of the main geometric axes of the mechanics, it is known to use frames in which are defined two support orifices of the common camshaft, with the interposition of bearings. In this case, it is known to mount the various cams on a sheath or "barrel", outside the mechanical and then dispose the barrel equipped cams locked in rotation and indexed angularly between the two parts of the frame in which are define the one-piece orifices, then introduce the drive shaft through one of these orifices, through the sheath and through the second orifice. This technique requires the handling of heavy and bulky parts during the installation of the barrel in the frame of the mechanics. The mounting of the cams on the barrel must take place outside the machine, on a workbench, which requires means of transport and generates a waste of time.
It is these drawbacks that the invention intends to remedy more particularly by proposing an armor mechanism in which the mounting and disassembly of the cams can be carried out on the machine itself, without loss of time, without resorting to specific tools and without affecting the accuracy of the positioning of their common drive shaft relative to the frame of the mechanical and oscillating levers cooperating with these cams.
In this spirit, the invention relates to a weave mechanism for weaving looms, this mechanism comprising several cams mounted on a common drive shaft and provided with tracks of follower rollers themselves mounted on oscillating levers. , this drive shaft being supported by means of two orifices formed in two monobloc parts of the frame of mechanics and one of which is crossed by this tree. This mechanism is characterized in that the aforementioned shaft extends, from the first orifice and towards the second orifice, over a length less than the distance between these orifices, while removable means forming an extension and support connect the end of the shaft located between these orifices at the second port and while the difference between the distance between the orifices and the length on which the shaft extends between these orifices is greater than the width of a cam.
Thanks to the invention, a space is created between the end of the shaft and the part of the frame in which is formed the second orifice, which allows to use this space, before setting up the means forming extensions or after removal of these, to set up the cams on the tree already installed in the frame. The cams are placed individually on their drive shaft, so that it is not necessary to use a barrel, each cam having a mass and a size compatible with easy handling.
- The means forming an extension and support bear or form a support bearing of the end of the shaft located between the two orifices
- The means forming an extension and support comprise a tip adapted to be attached to the end of the shaft and to exert on the cams mounted on this shaft an axial force for locking in rotation of the cams by adhesion. This end piece is advantageously integral in rotation with the end of the tree. It can extend axially to the level of the second hole of the frame in which it inserted, with the interposition of a bearing.
- The extension and support means comprise a sleeve removably mounted in the second port and extending toward the end of the shaft. This sleeve advantageously extends to the level of this end that it surrounds, with the interposition of a bearing. When a tip is provided, the sleeve can extend axially to the level of this tip, with the interposition of a bearing.
The invention also relates to a loom equipped with a weave mechanism as previously described. Such a business is more economical, easier to configure and more reliable than known trades.
- mettre en place l'arbre commun d'entraînement des cames dans le bâti de la mécanique ;
- déplacer au moins une came, selon une direction globalement perpendiculaire à un axe Longitudinal de l'arbre et dans un volume défini entre l'extrémité libre de cet arbre et une partie monobloc du bâti, jusqu'à aligner sensiblement un alésage central de cette came avec cet arbre ;
- set up the common drive shaft of the cams in the frame of the mechanics;
- moving at least one cam, in a direction generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the shaft and in a volume defined between the free end of this shaft and a one-piece portion of the frame, to substantially align a central bore of this cam with this tree;
- then move this cam in a direction generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft and in a direction directed away from the aforesaid part of the frame, to surround the shaft with this cam and
- removably install means forming an extension and support and connecting this end to a hole in the aforementioned part of the frame.
