Abstract
The setting of a hearing aid should be able to be carried out more conveniently and purposefully. For this purpose, it is provided to store real audio samples in a memory device in the hearing device (HG) or the remote control (FB) for a setting procedure by the hearing device wearer himself. For the adjustment procedure, these sound samples are then reproduced to the hearing aid wearer. The hearing aid wearer does not have to wait for the setting to hear a corresponding hearing situation in his environment and can thus repeat the setting as desired.
Description
The present invention relates to a hearing aid having a memory device for storing signal data, a signal processing device for outputting the signal data from the memory device and an operating device for adjusting the signal processing device. Moreover, the present invention relates to a hearing aid system with a hearing aid and a remote control, and finally to a method for adjusting the hearing aid.
So far, it is the hearing aid wearer is not or only to a very limited extent, the transmission characteristics of his hearing aid according to his wishes and requirements themselves and at any time, so in particular without having to visit an acoustician to adjust. The reason for this lies in the abundance and complexity of the parameters, which can only be surveyed by suitably trained specialist staff. In particular, the hearing device user can often not objectively decide which hearing situation is present, so that he could adjust his hearing aid accordingly.
For most hearing aids so far only provided that the hearing aid wearer can adjust the volume on his device itself. If necessary, the current hearing situation is determined by a classifier and the set volume is stored for the current hearing situation.
A disadvantage of these settings, however, is that the natural listening situations of the synthetic test signals reject, so that the settings can be performed only approximately.
The object of the present invention is therefore to improve the setting options for the hearing aid wearer himself.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a hearing device having a memory device for storing signal data, a signal processing device for outputting the signal data from the memory device and an operating device for setting the signal processing device, the signal data comprising test audio data for a plurality of classes of characteristic hearing situations, the test Audio data of a desired class by an operation of the operating device via the signal processing means are at least partially dispensable, the signal processing means during the output of the audio data is adjustable and the setting of the signal processing means for the desired class can be stored.
Furthermore, the invention provides a hearing aid system a hearing aid and a remote control, wherein the remote control comprises a memory device for storing test audio data to several classes of characteristic listening situations and for transmitting the test audio data of a desired class to the hearing aid, the hearing aid during playback of the test audio data from the hearing aid wearer is adjustable, and the setting of the hearing aid for the desired class in the hearing aid can be stored.
The invention likewise provides a method for setting a hearing device by storing test audio data representing a plurality of classes of characteristic listening situations, reproducing the stored test audio data of a desired class by means of the hearing device to be adjusted, setting the hearing device using the reproduced test audio data by the hearing aid Hearing aid wearer according to his individual needs and storing the adjustment of the hearing aid for the desired class in the hearing aid.
According to the invention it is thus possible to offer the hearing aid wearer so-called real-life test signals for adjustment, which correspond to a characteristic hearing situation. This allows the hearing aid wearer to make the setting more specific and accurate. In this case, it is favorable if a sequence of audio or test signals comprises signals from all classifier classes, ie the audible situations distinguishable from the hearing device classifier, each with different levels. As a result, the hearing aid wearer no longer has to wait, as has hitherto been the case, for the hearing situation "soft music" to occur in his natural environment, for example, before he can begin to adjust his hearing aid. Rather, he can the adjustment procedure according to the invention now before he gets into such a natural situation, whenever he wants and above all perform reproducible. The user can thus modify hearing aid parameters based on natural hearing situations class-dependent and level-dependent. These modifications are then stored in the hearing aid and are effective immediately. For example, so the hearing aid wearer in the Listening to objectively quiet music, select the sound as follows: More treble, fewer mids, and more bass.
Preferably, the hearing aid is operated via a remote control. This allows the hearing aid wearer to comfortably adjust the hearing aid with the remote control.
The test audio data advantageously comprises an announcement and a subsequent audio sample. This can ensure that the hearing aid wearer correctly assesses and classifies the audio sample reproduced below.
According to a likewise preferred embodiment, the reproduction of the test audio data is repeated until the hearing aid wearer presses a corresponding control key. As a result, the hearing device wearer can leave any desired length of time during the setting of the hearing device for a specific hearing situation.
The adjustment range of the hearing device can also be predetermined as a function of the reproduced audio data. This is particularly advantageous if the hearing aid wearer misjudges the presented audio signals and, for example, would set the volume for the listening situation "quiet music" too high.
The present invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, which illustrate a schematic diagram of a hearing aid system according to the invention.
The embodiment described in more detail below represents a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- 1. test signals that correspond to a real listening situation and
- 2. Controls on the hearing aid or the remote control for adjusting the hearing aid by the hearing aid wearer.
The test signals or sound samples correspond to all significant environmental situations to which a hearing aid wearer is typically exposed. So z. B. a sound sample for the listening situation speech at rest, quiet music, etc. provided as a test signal. These test signals are stored according to the example shown in the figure in a memory unit SE a remote control FB. The remote control FB sends the test signals wirelessly to a hearing aid HG, which has a corresponding receiver EM for this purpose. In an alternative embodiment, the memory unit for storing the test signals may also be provided directly in the hearing device.
The receiver EM in the hearing aid HG transmits the received test signals to a signal processor SV, which activates a handset H. With a control element BE on the hearing aid HG signal processing SV can be adjusted. In addition, it is possible to set the signal processing SV using the remote control FB. You can set "Volume" / "Treble" / "Bass" or even "Volume" with the corresponding adjustment buttons on the remote control.
The beginning of the setting process can be done for example by pressing the S button on the remote control FB. The M key can be used to save the selected setting.
In the following, a setting process will now be described in detail. In this case, the hearing aid wearer is favorably played a sequence of test signals or sound samples with the hearing aid as soon as he presses the start button S of the remote control FB suppressed. Each audio sample contained in the sequence is announced by an announcement. For example, this announcement reads, "There follows soft music." The audio example including the announcement is repeated until the hearing aid wearer presses a continue or memory key M. Until then, the hearing aid wearer has the ability to adjust the volume for the particular signal within a given frame as he pleases. The announcement and the restriction of the adjustability of the volume are absolutely necessary, so that the hearing aid wearer z. B. quiet signals do not accidentally "turn up" to normal volume.
- Sprache in Ruhe (normal, leise, laut)
- Sprache in Störgeräusch (normal, leise, laut)
- Verkehrsgeräusch (normal, leise, laut)
- Naturgeräusch (normal, leise, laut)
- Musik (normal, leise, laut)
- Stille (Mikrofonrauschen!)
- Telefon
- Language at rest (normal, quiet, loud)
- Speech in noise (normal, quiet, loud)
- Traffic noise (normal, quiet, loud)
- Natural sound (normal, quiet, loud)
- Music (normal, quiet, loud)
- Silence (microphone noise!)
- phone
After passing through such a sequence of sound samples, a class-dependent and level-dependent modification of the amplification and compression parameters in the hearing aid is produced. B. can be used as a preset for advanced learning and training algorithms. The setting procedure can be repeated, restarted and canceled prematurely.
Furthermore, a "reset" option is provided, with which the parameters can be reset to the preset by the acoustician to undo, for example, still occurring incorrect operations.
- The training procedure according to the invention with quasi-real sound examples is not perceived as a permanent correction, thus disturbing and annoying settings, but as a deliberately chosen action that the hearing aid wearer can perform at full concentration, at any time and in his desired environment.
- Since the test signals are reproducible, they are imprinted after a short time, which of course is not the case with real signals. The more often the hearing device wearer goes through the training procedure, the more targeted and reliable he can make the desired modification to the sound of his hearing aid.
