Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning road surfaces according to the preamble of claim 1.
The mechanical cleaning of roads, sidewalks and other surfaces is usually done with self-propelled cleaning devices. An essential component of such devices is a suction device, with the loose dirt can be sucked into a sump, which is emptied for disposal. The amount of air sucked in must be returned to the environment after proper cleaning. This is usually done on the underside of the vehicle, but this has the disadvantage that any remaining dirt is whirled up, which is naturally extremely undesirable.
To avoid this disadvantage, cleaning devices have become known which have an outflow of air at the top. Such devices are disclosed, for example, in EP 0 261 553 A or EP 0 234 782 A. However, an air outflow of this type has the disadvantage that sound emissions can propagate unhindered, so that such devices are very problematic in terms of noise emission.
Object of the present invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a device which allows both a gentle outflow of the sucked air and has the lowest possible working noise. In addition, the lowest possible emission of dust or other particles is to be ensured by the outflowing air and as long as possible maintenance intervals should be achieved.
These objects are achieved by the features of claim 1.
Essential to the present invention is the recognition that a significant noise reduction can be achieved by providing a large-volume outflow chamber in which the most laminar flow is achieved or at least the turbulence emitted by the ejected from the suction turbine be carried along, can subside. Important in this context is the interaction with a diffuser, which reduces the flow velocity and also allows an increase in performance. Due to the spatial arrangement of the outflow chamber above the collecting tank is achieved in a particularly advantageous manner that the outflow chamber can be formed flat and large area which additionally increases the effectiveness. In addition, a simple structural design of the device can be achieved in this way.
It is particularly favorable in the context of the invention, when the outflow chamber is substantially rectangular in plan view and has a continuously decreasing in the longitudinal direction cross-sectional area. Seen from the side, the outflow chamber is wedge-shaped in this embodiment, so that, with a uniform distribution of the outflow openings, an approximately uniform flow velocity in the interior of the outflow chamber is achieved, which has an advantageous effect on the noise emission.
Particularly favorable flow conditions can be achieved in that the diffuser opens over its entire surface into an end face of the outflow chamber. As a result, in particular disturbing pressure losses are avoided and prevents turbulence. Venting of the aggregate space can be achieved by opening the discharge line via an injector into the diffuser.
A further substantial reduction of the noise emission can be achieved by arranging a silencer in the outflow chamber parallel to a surface containing the outflow openings. In particular, this silencer is designed as a blind. However, other constructions, such as profiles parallel to the surface, are possible. It is essential that the outflow chamber is subdivided by the essentially horizontally extending muffler into an upper section and a lower section, so that any resonant vibrations can not propagate to the outflow openings. A further particularly preferred embodiment variant of the invention provides that a filter is arranged in the outflow chamber parallel to a surface containing the outflow openings. In this way, it is possible to use an extremely large-area filter, which is correspondingly low load, so that large maintenance intervals are achieved.
In connection with the present invention, it is particularly favorable for design reasons, if water tanks are provided laterally of the collecting container. In this way, besides a constructive simplification Also, a special stability in the handling of self-propelled devices can be achieved, since center of gravity shifts can be largely avoided by currents within the water tank due to their small dimensions in the transverse direction.
