Description
Dispositif de maintien de la hauteur de l' ourlet d'un pantalonDevice for maintaining the height of the hem of trousers
The invention relates to a device for maintaining the height of the hem of a pair of trousers.
In order to keep parts of clothing in place, garters and garters are mainly known. Both are defined as ribbons or rubber ties for holding stockings or socks. Garters or garters are therefore elastic bands intended to exert some tension on the stockings or socks they are supposed to maintain. The invention relates to a holding device which is not intended to exert a certain tension on the part to be maintained, but which is used to maintain this piece of clothing at a predetermined height. The device for maintaining the height of the hem of trousers according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a collar surrounding the bottom of the leg of a user, the rear portion of the collar having attachment means arranged to retain and secure the hem of the pants. The collar may have adjustment means for adjusting its length, and an intermediate piece may be inserted between the rear of the collar and the attachment means. The intermediate piece may also include adjusting means for adjusting its length. In a preferred embodiment the collar and / or the intermediate piece is in the form of a strip of fabric. The web of fabric may have some elasticity. However, the elasticity of the device is not a necessary feature, it being understood that the device is intended only to maintain the hem of a pair of pants at a predetermined height without exerting tension on the hem. Alternatively, the collar and / or the intermediate piece may be in the form of a chain. The attachment means may comprise an adhesive pad of the "Velcro" type. Alternatively, the attachment means comprise a pin cooperating with a wafer. According to a variant, the attachment means comprise a magnet cooperating with a metal counterpart, the hem of the pants being pinched between the two pieces. The attachment means may also comprise a clamp. The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment and a variant of a device for maintaining the height of the hem of a pair of pants according to the invention. In the drawing: FIG. 1 represents an embodiment of the holding device, FIG. 2 represents a variant of the device of FIG. 1, and FIGS. 3 and 4 represent variants of the attachment means of the device. The device shown in the embodiment of Figure 1 comprises a collar 1 formed of two side strips 2 and 3. The two strips 2 and 3 are interconnected by a closure element 4 and the strip 3 side has an adjusting member 5 allowing the elongation or narrowing of the band 3. The collar 1 can thus be adapted to the desired size when placed at the bottom of the leg of the user, so as to rest on the neck of foot of the user. The rear part of the collar 1 supports an intermediate band 6 also having a regulating member 7 making it possible to lengthen the band 6 more or less. The band 6 has, at its free end, an adhesive pad 8 in the form of a "Velcro" band element. The pad 8 is intended to come into contact with another not shown adhesive element, also of "Velcro" type, fixed on the hem of the pants of the user. The collar 1 is made from a strip of fabric, as well as the intermediate part formed by the strip 6. The strips 2, 3 and 6 may be elastic bands, which is however not a requirement necessary. The device for maintaining the height of the hem of the pants described in FIG. 1 is used in the following manner: The closure 4 is open and the collar 1 is thus brought around the bottom of the user's leg and then the closure 4 is closed. The collar 1 is intended to rest on the neck of the foot of the user so that the rear part is located above the heel of the foot of the user. The length of the collar 1 is adapted to the foot of the user, by means of the adjusting member 5. When the collar 1 is in place, the adhesive pad 8 is brought into contact against the workpiece not shown, fixed inside the bottom of the hem of the trousers of the user, and the height of the hem r is adjusted by means of the member 7 of the strip 6 It is thus ensured that the hem of the user's trousers will not descend beyond the chosen height. The device that has just been described is particularly interesting because it keeps the hem of pants at the right height, regardless of the shoe used. This is particularly interesting for ladies, who can wear flat shoes or high-heeled shoes. In the case where the length of the leg of the pants is chosen according to high heel shoes, the user can then adjust the height of the pant hem by means of the device described in FIG. decides to wear shoes without heel, the device prevents the hem of the pants from going under the shoe when the user walks. The device that has just been described also makes it possible to avoid redoing the hem of trousers when it is too long by one or two centimeters. In the variant of Figure 2, the collar 10 is formed of a chain 11 comprising an adjusting member 12 in the form of a small padlock. The adjustment member 12 thus allows choose the appropriate length of the collar 10, so that the collar 10 rests on the user's neck of the foot while remaining above the heel of the foot of the user. The collar 10 is integral with an intermediate chain 13, the length of which can also be adjusted by means of the adjustment element 14. At the free end of the intermediate chain 13, a plate 15 is fixed to receive a pin 16 being fixed in the center of the wafer 15. The hem of the not shown pants can thus be maintained between the wafer 15 and the pin 16 which thus passes through the hem. The introduction of the variant of the holding device of FIG. 2 and the adjustments are done in the same way as for the device of FIG. 1. FIGS. 3 and 4 of the drawing show variants of the attachment means of the device of Figure 2. The free end of the intermediate chain 13 supports on the one hand a metal plate 17 for cooperating with a magnet 18 for pinching the hem of the pants. Parts 17 and 18 are connected by a chain 19 (FIG. 3). Alternatively the free end of the chain 13 comprises a clamp 20 intended to pinch the hem of the pants (Figure 4). It is clear that the device for maintaining the height of a pant hem that has just been described and its variant, is not intended to exert tension on the pants, but is particularly intended to adjust the height the hem of the pants so that it does not descend beyond a desired and chosen limit.
