Definitions
- the invention relates to a rigid plastic packaging for food product, especially for butter, or even cheese.
- Butter is traditionally presented in two different forms, either in blister or in tray.
- blister pack the butter is most often in the form of a parallelepiped, wrapped in a simple or complex paper, in particular aluminized in order to limit as much as possible the oxidation of the butter and therefore its rancidity.
- This mode of packaging although widely used, remains inconvenient insofar as the fingers of the user are frequently in contact with the food product at the time of closing and opening of the package. We are therefore faced with an obvious problem of hygiene. To limit this inconvenience, the user has the possibility of transferring the product in an independent box thus requiring additional manipulation.
- the tray that is to say in a packaging made of a rigid material, plastic material most often, solves the problems related to hygiene since it is sufficient, to close the tray, to simply apply the lid without contact of the product with the fingers of the user.
- this type of packaging it is difficult to consume the entire product, because of the delicate accessibility in the bottom of the tray, in particular by means of a knife or other kitchen utensil.
- the document FR-2,588,831 describes a food tray consisting of a bottom provided with four walls and a flat cover, whose edge has projections intended to cooperate with corresponding notches, formed on the bottom edge.
- the entire food product is held in the bottom of the package which makes it inaccessible by the sides.
- the document CH-665 405 discloses a packaging more particularly adapted to the packaging of butter, consisting of a parallelepiped shaped tray in one piece, respectively a bottom and a cover connected by a hinge.
- the bottom and the lid each have a hollow shape in which is inserted the root ball.
- This embodiment has a similar disadvantage trays known from the prior art, insofar as it is still difficult to easily scrape the remaining butter at the corners of the hollow form.
- at least half the thickness of the rootstock remains inaccessible by the sides of the package.
- the problem is to develop a packaging for food products, especially for butter, in which the product is protected, including oxidation phenomena, in order to give it a limit date of consumption or expiry compatible with those currently in force, while having the widest possible accessible surface.
- the invention proposes a plastic packaging for a food product, in the form of a rigid structure of parallelepipedal general shape made in one piece and provided with a rectangular bottom, acting as a plane support, and a lid connected to the bottom by a hinge.
- This package is characterized in that at least one of the bottom edges is devoid of any side wall, in that the opposite edge is provided with a rear wall, at which the lid is articulated, and that said cover is itself provided with side wall (s) adapted to completely close the package, in cooperation with the bottom, when in the closed position.
- the invention consists in having developed a packaging in which at least two faces (upper face and front face) of the root ball can be accessible by the user through the production of a flat support, devoid of hollow, on which is directly deposited the food product, and whose front face is in free access, that is to say without wall, said wall being integrated directly at the lid.
- the flat support has, advantageously, in addition to the rear wall, two side walls arranged on only part of the width of the support, so that again, the butter is accessible by the sides throughout its thickness.
- the side walls are arranged in the extension of the ends of the rear wall.
- the free upper edge of the side faces of the bottom is rounded and is intended to cooperate with the free bottom edge of complementary shape of the side faces of the lid.
- the base support constituting the bottom is tilted backwards and downwards by an angle between and 30 °, advantageously 6 ° with respect to the horizontal plane.
- the root ball is supported on the rear face of the package, allowing a more effective scraping.
- the front edge of the flat support is provided with a breakable tamper-evident band, a portion of which cooperates with the front face of the lid.
- the tamper-evident strip consists of a tongue extending substantially along said edge of the flat support, and has in its center a rounded hollow protuberance, within which is likely to be imprisoned a zone extending from the lower edge of the front face of the cover, said area being profiled for this purpose.
- the packaging package according to the invention is in the form of a rigid structure, designated by the general reference (1), of parallelepipedal general shape, and presenting a bottom (2) and a lid (3).
- This packaging made in one piece by plastic injection, is provided with a hinge (4) connecting the bottom (2) to the lid (3).

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a rigid plastic packaging for food product, especially for butter, or even cheese.
Butter is traditionally presented in two different forms, either in blister or in tray. In blister pack, the butter is most often in the form of a parallelepiped, wrapped in a simple or complex paper, in particular aluminized in order to limit as much as possible the oxidation of the butter and therefore its rancidity. This mode of packaging, although widely used, remains inconvenient insofar as the fingers of the user are frequently in contact with the food product at the time of closing and opening of the package. We are therefore faced with an obvious problem of hygiene. To limit this inconvenience, the user has the possibility of transferring the product in an independent box thus requiring additional manipulation.
The tray, that is to say in a packaging made of a rigid material, plastic material most often, solves the problems related to hygiene since it is sufficient, to close the tray, to simply apply the lid without contact of the product with the fingers of the user. However, in this type of packaging, it is difficult to consume the entire product, because of the delicate accessibility in the bottom of the tray, in particular by means of a knife or other kitchen utensil.

In other words, the problem is to develop a packaging for food products, especially for butter, in which the product is protected, including oxidation phenomena, in order to give it a limit date of consumption or expiry compatible with those currently in force, while having the widest possible accessible surface.
To do this, the invention proposes a plastic packaging for a food product, in the form of a rigid structure of parallelepipedal general shape made in one piece and provided with a rectangular bottom, acting as a plane support, and a lid connected to the bottom by a hinge.
This package is characterized in that at least one of the bottom edges is devoid of any side wall, in that the opposite edge is provided with a rear wall, at which the lid is articulated, and that said cover is itself provided with side wall (s) adapted to completely close the package, in cooperation with the bottom, when in the closed position.
In other words, the invention consists in having developed a packaging in which at least two faces (upper face and front face) of the root ball can be accessible by the user through the production of a flat support, devoid of hollow, on which is directly deposited the food product, and whose front face is in free access, that is to say without wall, said wall being integrated directly at the lid.
To prevent the butter or food product from slipping sideways, the flat support has, advantageously, in addition to the rear wall, two side walls arranged on only part of the width of the support, so that again, the butter is accessible by the sides throughout its thickness. In a preferred embodiment, the side walls are arranged in the extension of the ends of the rear wall.
To further improve the access by the sides, the free upper edge of the side faces of the bottom is rounded and is intended to cooperate with the free bottom edge of complementary shape of the side faces of the lid.
In order to promote the presentation, but also to keep the butter or the food product in a stable position when its upper surface is scraped, the base support constituting the bottom is tilted backwards and downwards by an angle between and 30 °, advantageously 6 ° with respect to the horizontal plane.
In other words, the root ball is supported on the rear face of the package, allowing a more effective scraping.
To ensure the inviolability of the package when stored in supermarket shelves, the front edge of the flat support is provided with a breakable tamper-evident band, a portion of which cooperates with the front face of the lid. In practice, the tamper-evident strip consists of a tongue extending substantially along said edge of the flat support, and has in its center a rounded hollow protuberance, within which is likely to be imprisoned a zone extending from the lower edge of the front face of the cover, said area being profiled for this purpose.

According to FIG. 1, the packaging package according to the invention, more particularly intended for butter, is in the form of a rigid structure, designated by the general reference (1), of parallelepipedal general shape, and presenting a bottom (2) and a lid (3). This packaging, made in one piece by plastic injection, is provided with a hinge (4) connecting the bottom (2) to the lid (3).
According to a first characteristic of the invention, the bottom (2) consists of a plane support (5), provided with a rear wall (6), and two side walls (7) arranged on only part of the width of the support (5).
As a corollary, the cover (3) has an upper face (8) articulated by one of the main edges to the upper edge of the rear wall (6) of the bottom. The lid (3) also has two lateral faces (10) and (11) of complementary shape to that of the walls (7) of the bottom, and a front face (9), extending substantially to a height identical to the height of the posterior wall (6) of said bottom. The respective dimensions of the faces and walls constituting the bottom and the lid are chosen so that when the lid is in the closed position, it closes in a relatively tight manner the packaging thus formed.
Sur la figure 1, l'emballage est représenté en présence d'un produit alimentaire, en l'espèce d'une motte de beurre de forme générale parallélépipédique (14).Still in FIG. 1, it can be observed that the front face (9) of the lid (3) is shown provided with a tongue (12) with an elastic effect intended to cooperate with a breakable tamper-evident strip (13). . In Figure 1, the package is shown in the presence of a food product, in this case a clump of butter of generally parallelepiped shape (14).
In addition, the free edge (20) of the front face (9) of the lid (3) is shaped so that it co-operates by sliding with the front flange (21) of the bottom (5), thus guaranteeing a certain seal. In fact, the respective dimensions of these different elements are chosen to optimize this seal.
Figure 2 shows the food packaging of the invention seen from the side. As shown in this figure, the base support constituting the bottom is advantageously inclined at an angle of 6 ° towards the rear (ie towards the rear wall (6) of the bottom) and downwards. , allowing as already said not only to keep the butter in position when it is scraped, but also to optimize its presentation.
Furthermore, in the embodiment as shown, the lateral faces (7) of the bottom, and (10) and (11) of the cover, have a free edge of rounded and complementary shape, to facilitate access by the listed in the food product.
According to an advantageous form of the invention, the edge (21) of the bottom (5) and / or the zone of the upper face (8) of the lid (3), adjacent to the hinge (4), are provided with marks or graduations (24), derived from molding, intended to inform the user on the cutting site to be produced according to the desired mass of butter.
In Figures 3 to 7, the package is shown in the closed position. In this case, the packaging is provided with a tamper-evident strip (13), put in place after introduction of the butter or the food product within the package.
This tamperproof strip (13), also made of plastic, firstly has a gripping area (19) at one of its ends, and intended to promote its traction by the consumer, during the first opening of the packaging.
It then has a protruding zone (16), substantially quarter-cylindrical, and intended to cooperate with the elastic-effect tongue (12), integral with the free edge (20) of the front face (9) of the lid (3). .
It is well to observe in Figure 7 the mode of cooperation of said tongue (12) with the protruding region (16) of the strip (13). In this mode, the strip (13) is welded by means of breakable bridges (22) to the edge (21) of the bottom (5). It can be observed that the protrusion (16) of said strip (13) is thus shaped, that it defines, in cooperation with the edge (21), a slot (23) parallel to said edge (21), of corresponding length, with the play, to the length of the elastic tongue (12).
When the butter (14) is positioned within the packaging according to the invention, the lid (3) is folded down on the bottom (2), and corollary, the tongue (12) is introduced into the slot (23). . Said tongue being V-shaped, as can be seen in Figure (7), and having elastic characteristics, inherent to the plastic material that constitutes it, the free edge of the V expands within the volume defined by the projection (16), and thus prohibits any unintentional or deliberate opening of a user, except for the latter to completely remove the tamper tape (13).
Figures 8 and 9 illustrate the possible stacking of packages in the closed position. Although not illustrated, these packages are also stackable in the open position, allowing a reduction in size during storage or transport before use.
