- un premier élément d'appui mobile, tel qu'un dossier ou un cale-rein, incliné par rapport à l'horizontale et articulé par son extrémité inférieure à l'extrémité arrière de l'élément d'assise de manière à s'incliner de haut en bas et d'arrière en avant,
- un second élément d'appui mobile, tel qu'un dossier ou un appuie-tête, incliné par rapport à l'horizontal et articulé à l'extrémité supérieure du premier élément d'appui, chacun desdits éléments mobiles étant constitué d'au moins un coussin solidaire d'un support, ledit ensemble permettant de passer, grâce à une translation de l'élément d'assise, d'une position initiale où l'utilisateur est en position assise à une position de relaxation où l'utilisateur est en position semi-allongée et inversement ; cet ensemble de relaxation est remarquable en ce que il est muni de moyens de guidage latéraux, solidaires du bâti et aptes à coopérer avec des moyens de coulissement implantés sur les supports de coussin du premier et du second élément d'appui, ces moyens de coulissement procurant en outre un axe de pivotement dans la direction arrière-avant pour chaque support de coussin muni de ces moyens, de sorte que depuis la position initiale dans laquelle les supports de coussin du premier et du second élément d'appui sont alignés, une translation vers l'avant de l'élément d'assise entraîne une translation vers le bas et en suivant les moyens de guidage latéraux desdits moyens de coulissement, ce qui entraîne le pivotement relatif du premier élément d'appui par rapport à l'élément d'assise et du second élément d'appui par rapport au premier élément d'appui, l'angle entre les supports de coussin du premier et du second élément d'appui étant alors inférieur à 180° et l'articulation entre le premier et le second élément d'appui étant globalement déplacée du haut vers le bas et d'avant en arrière.

- Resting furniture (1), such as a seat, sofa or transformable arm-chair, comprising a fixed frame (2), which is comprised in particular of a globally vertical back (21), connected to a horizontal base (22) and to lateral elements (23, 24) forming the wing ears of said furniture, themselves linked to the base (22), with said frame (2) supporting at least:- a substantially horizontal mobile seating element (3), sliding parallel to the base (22) according to a rear-front axis,- a first mobile support element (4), inclined in relation to the horizontal and articulated by its lower end to the rear end of the seating element (3) in such a way as to be inclined from top to bottom and from the rear to the front,- a second mobile support element (5), inclined in relation to the horizontal and articulated at the upper end of the first support element (4), each of the mobile elements (3, 4, 5) comprised of at least one cushion (32, 42, 52) attached to a support (31, 41, 51), said furniture (1) making it possible to switch, thanks to a translation of the seating element (3), from an initial position where the seating element (3) is backed to a rear stop and the user is in a seated position to a resting position where the user is in a semi-reclined position and inversely and said furniture (1) is provided with straight lateral slide rails (6), fixed in relation to frame (2), attached to the lateral elements (23, 24) of the frame (2) forming the wing ears of said resting furniture and able to cooperate with the rollers (7) fixed to the supports of the headrest (51) and of the seat back (41) in the vicinity of the articulation between these two mobile elements (4, 5), these rollers (7) further procuring a pivoting axis in the rear-front direction for each cushion support (41, 51) provided with these rollers (7), in such a way that from the initial position wherein the cushion supports (41, 51) of the first and of the second support element (4, 5) are aligned, a translation towards the front of the seating element (3) causes a translation towards the bottom and following the straight lateral slide rails (6) of said rollers (7), which causes the relative pivoting of the first support element (4) in relation to the seating element (3) and of the second support element (5) in relation to the first support element (4), the angle between the cushion supports (41, 51) of the first and of the second support element (4, 5) then being less than 180° and the articulation (9) between the first and the second support element (4, 5) being globally displaced from the top towards the bottom and from the front towards the rear characterised in that the rollers (7) of the first and of the second support element (4, 5) circulate on each side in the, same straight lateral slide rail(6), inclined from the top to the bottom and from the rear towards the front.
- Resting furniture (1) as claimed in the preceding claim characterised in that each roller (7) is comprised of an L-shaped metal section, of which a first branch (71) is able to be fixed to the cushion supports (41, 51) of the first and of the second support element (4, 5) and the second branch (72) supports a roller bearing part (73) mounted rotating around an axis (74) fixed perpendicularly to the surface of said second branch (72).
- Resting furniture (1) according to any of the preceding claims characterised in that the articulation (9) between, on the one hand, the seating element (3) and the first support element (4), and, on the other hand, between the first support element (4) and the second support element (5) is carried out by means of hinges.
- Resting furniture (1) according to any of the preceding claims characterised in that the first support element (4) and the second support element (5) define respectively a seat back and a headrest.
