Description

The invention relates to a storage frame and a bag handling and storage method, in particular for storing granular adhesives.

Various superimposed storage systems are known, using frameworks comprising candles, spacers and bases and for storing pallets loaded with materials or products.

It is, for example, known to place on pallets bags containing powdery materials which may flow or be sucked up. Some types of bags may further contain liquids.

Also known are bags with their opening straps that can be taken directly by a forklift or can be attached to a frame, the bag being suspended from the frame. Some types of bags have a bottom that can be opened to allow the bag to be emptied.

FR - A - 2 643 887 discloses a storage and handling device for bulk materials, powdery or treatable as fluids. The device comprises a frame comprising horizontal frames and vertical rods, each nestable at its two ends in cavities provided on both sides of the horizontal frames, so as to form a plurality of frame stages separated between each stage by a series of rods. At each floor, preferably below the horizontal frame, is arranged a frame gripper fork, interposed between the ends of the rods and the horizontal frame 12. A bag preferably having a working bottom is hooked by straps to said frame. Typically, a storage frame is constituted by frames comprising four sleeves interconnected by spacers and possibly reinforcing bars to form a rigid assembly. The bushings have upwardly an upper cavity for receiving the bottom of rods, while downwards, they comprise another lower cavity to cap the upper end of the rods.

However, such a device imposes constraints on the structure of the frame 20 and, consequently, on the logistics of the storage bags.

There is therefore a particular need for a new storage frame and a new bag handling and storage method that can improve the logistics of storage bags.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description of preferred embodiments of the invention, given by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings showing:
  • Figure 1 an exploded view, in perspective, of a storage frame comprising a frame interface, according to one embodiment of the invention;

The invention relates to a frame with a storage frame interface. This interface comprises: a planar frame, interlocking members on one side of the frame, perpendicular to the frame, on the tops of a first rectangle and interlocking members on the other side of the frame, perpendicular to the frame and the vertices of a second rectangle. The areas of the first and second rectangles are in a ratio between 1.05 and 1.60. Such an interface makes it possible to adapt frame members of different cross-sections. In particular, it makes it possible to adapt a custom frame to a frame member of standard dimensions, such as a drain extension.

The invention also proposes a bag handling and storage method, in which the loading of the bags in the frame cages takes place at least partially in front, which considerably simplifies handling.

The figure 1 shows an exploded view, in perspective, of a storage frame including a storage frame interface, according to one embodiment of the invention.

More specifically, the storage frame 20 comprises various frame elements, among which an interface 10, a drain extension 50 and a frame cage.

On décrit tout d'abord sommairement l'interface 10. Briefly, the interface 10 is briefly described. The interface 10 comprises a frame 12 which is in the form of a frame. The average plane of the frame 12 delimits two sides, so that the frame 12 has two sides. The frame 12 also has interlocking members 14, 16 perpendicular to its mean plane and on each side of this plane. When looking at the frame 12 on one side of its mean plane and perpendicular to this plane, the interlocking members 14 arranged on this side are distributed at the vertices of a rectangle. It is the same on the other side of the plane, where the members 16 are arranged at the vertices of a second rectangle. These rectangles have a different area. Typically, the ratio of these areas varies between 1.05 and 1.60 and preferably between 1.10 and 1.40. Preferably, the orthogonal projection of the second rectangle in the plane of the first rectangle is substantially centered in the first rectangle. If necessary, these rectangles are reduced to squares.

En particulier, l'interface 10 permet d'adapter une cage de charpente de dimensions non standard, par exemple adaptée à des besoins particuliers, à un élément de charpente de dimensions standard, tel qu'une rehausse de vidangeAs the interlocking members 14, 16 of the interface 10 are distributed at the vertices of two different rectangles, depending on whether they are on one side or the other of the chassis, the interface 10 makes it possible to adapt structural members having different dimensions. In particular, the interface 10 makes it possible to adapt a non-standard-size frame cage, for example adapted to particular needs, to a frame element of standard dimensions, such as a drain extension.

We will now describe the interface 10 nested between two frame members. The interface 10 allows to fit a plane support 30 above the interface 10 on the figure 1 , with the members 14 of interlocking on one side of the frame of the interface 10. This support 30 forms the lower part of the frame cage, intended to receive a storage bag. The support 30 may for example be in the form of a frame, as in the example of the figure 1 . The support 30 may be provided with sockets 32 arranged at the vertices of the support frame, the sockets 32 being flared on one side in order to facilitate interlocking with the interlocking members 14 of the interface 10. In the example of FIG. figure 1 these bushings 32 are connected by spacers forming the frame of the support and reinforcing bars connect the spacers to increase the rigidity of the frame of the support. The frame of the support thus draws a first rectangle or, where appropriate, a square of dimensions typically ranging from 950 × 950 to 1200 × 1200 mm (measured from the longitudinal axes of the sockets 32 of the support).

Below the interface 10, a drain extension 50 can be nested with the interface 10. The drain extension 50 comprises a hopper 52, connected to an extension frame. The hopper 52 has a conventional truncated and inverted pyramid shape. Stored substances or materials can be unloaded through an opening at its base. More specifically, the hopper 52 is preferably mounted with a valve allowing a fractional feed. This frame comprises, for example, bushings, surmounting posts 54 and intended to come into engagement with the interface 10, the bushes being connected by spacers. The riser frame may also include reinforcing bars, as in the case of the support. The bushings surmounting the posts 54 are nested with the interface 10 via the interlocking members 16 on the other side of the frame of the interface 10 (below the interface 10 on the figure 1 ). These posts form a parallelepipedal structure, a cross section of which draws a second rectangle, of different dimensions of the first rectangle, that is to say the one drawn by the frame of the support.

Ses dimensions sont typiquement de 950 × 950 mm.Preferably, the second rectangle is reduced to a square. Its dimensions are typically 950 × 950 mm.

On entend par là que l'écart entre ces deux centres (celui de la projection et celui du premier rectangle), ramené à l'un des côtés de rectangle, est de préférence inférieur à 10 %.Typically, the projection of the second rectangle in the plane of the first is included in the first rectangle and the center of this projection is preferably substantially the same as that of the first rectangle. By this is meant that the distance between these two centers (that of the projection and that of the first rectangle), brought to one of the sides of the rectangle, is preferably less than 10%.

We now describe the frame cage. The support 30 is fitted with four candles 40, via the support sleeves, the non-flared side of these sleeves, so as to form a cage above the interface 10 and for receiving a storage bag. A candle 40 has two ends 41,42. A framework frame as described above has the advantage of being removable.

Furthermore, the support 30 described above may be provided with fork tunnels 62, attached to two opposite spacers on the support frame and slightly protruding, so as to prevent a cut or a break during the gripping of the support, for example by the forks of a forklift. The forks can be inserted into tunnels 62 without risk of cuts or breaks.

At the level of the upper part of the candles 40, on the figure 1 , the frame 20 comprises a frame 60, closing the cage formed by the support 30 assembled with the candles 40. This frame is fitted with each of the frame candles, at the other end thereof 42. It is designed with a similar to the support. In particular, it may comprise flared sleeves (on their lower side, on the figure 1 ) The frame 60 is further provided with tunnels 62 fork, arranged similarly to the tunnels 62 of the fork of the support, that is to say, attached to two opposite spacers of the frame and slightly overflowing. It is thus possible to prevent a cut or break when the frame is gripped, for example by the forks of a forklift truck; this will be detailed later.

The frame 60 is preferably provided with hooks, the free end of the hooks being directed downwards. These hooks allow to fix the position of straps of a storage bag when they are put in place. This allows to stall the positioning of the straps and, consequently, to avoid a handling error when gripping the frame.

In addition, a framework according to the invention has the advantage of being able to comprise several stages. A framing column stage may comprise a support, a set of candles fitted on this support (which may be nested with an interface, if appropriate) and a frame 60 fitted on the candles 40. A framing column stage may then to be nested on another floor and so on. A framework column can typically have one to six column stages.

In one variant, only one support separates two consecutive candle sets from the frame along a column. A support is nested on its lower side with a first set of candles and is nested on its upper side with a second set of candles, so as to form two floors. A frame column in this variant therefore comprises a succession of games e candles and supports.

Par exemple, la cage de charpente peut avantageusement présenter une section transversale allant de 950 × 950 à 1200 × 1200 mm.Examples of dimensioning and use of the frame 20 according to the invention are now described. The interface 10 makes it possible to connect elements of framework of different dimensions. The drain extension 50 may typically have a standard cross-section of 950 × 950 mm (measured from the longitudinal axis of the posts 54). Through the interface 10, the frame cage above the interface 10 may have a cross section different from the previous one. The dimensions of the cage can therefore be adapted for occasional or non-standard needs, without it being necessary to adapt other parts of the frame 20, such as the extension 50 of emptying. For example, the frame can advantageously have a cross section ranging from 950 × 950 to 1200 × 1200 mm.

Preferably, the timber frame has a cross section of 1020 × 1020 mm (measured from the longitudinal axis of the structural candles). In practice and according to the tests carried out, such dimensions are particularly well suited for the handling and storage of bags having a cross section (that is to say corresponding to the base) of 750 × 1150 mm. However, such dimensions of storage bags can optimize the logistics of the bags, according to a package that will be described later.

According to one variant, the posts 54 of the riser 50 are profiled so as to be able to fit directly with the interface 10, without requiring sleeves fixed to one end of the posts 54.

It should be noted that the male / female arrangement of the various interlockings involved is indifferent. For example, when a single interlock is used at the interface 10, the interlocking members 14, 16 of the interface 10 may be indifferently male or female, provided that the interlocking members of other parts of the interface the frame 20, intended to come into engagement with the members of the interface 10 are logically opposed to them.

It should also be noted that the described interlockings can be secured, for example by screws or fixing bolts.

In addition, various types of interlocking can be used, as is known in the art. For example, it is possible to use simple type interlockings, in which the connecting flanges of the two members involved have joint faces respectively comprising a hollow part and a relief part, the raised part penetrating into the hollow part. so as to achieve an interlocking. It is also possible to use tulip type, screw type, double type, double female, etc. or a combination of these various types.

Typically, the elements of the frame 20 are steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum.

We now describe a framework comprising a storage bag. The frame 20 can receive a storage bag having straps. The bag is suspended from the frame by its straps, put in place around the hooks of the frame. Typically, the storage bag is made of polypropylene fabric, which material is particularly well adapted to contain a hot melt adhesive ("hot melt"). If necessary, the polypropylene fabric is laminated, waterproof, antistatic and / or provided with an internal bag. The bag has an approximately parallelepiped shape (at least before filling). Generally, the bag deforms substantially after filling. Preferably, the bag may have seams on its faces, in order to limit the deformation during filling. The base of the bag has a width and a length generally ranging between 700 and 1200 mm. The faces of the bag have a height generally ranging between 700 and 2000 mm.

In particular, the storage bag has a base connecting four flanks and four straps. Each of the straps has a free portion forming a loop and another portion sewn along an edge of the bag connecting two flanks. This bag can advantageously have the following dimensions (length × width of the base): 1150 ± 50 × 750 ± 50 mm or 1150 ± 50 × 950 ± 50 mm and this, for reasons of optimization of logistics, handling and storage of these bags which will be detailed later. The height of the bag is typically 1700 mm. In addition, such a bag has a rectangular section (parallel to its base). One side of the base of the bag is chosen smaller than the distance between two frame candles, so as to allow frontal insertion of the bag into a frame cage.

The figure 2 shows a perspective view of an interface.

The description of the interface 10 given with reference to the figure 1 also applies with reference to the figure 2 . Other features of the interface 10 will now be described. The interface 10 comprises a planar frame comprising spacers, which connect members 14,16 nesting. The average plane of the frame is here slightly below the spacers, depending on the orientation of the interface 10 on the figure 2 . This plane delimits two sides, so that the frame 12 has interlocking members 14, 16 perpendicular to its mean plane, on each side of this plane, and distributed at the vertices of two rectangles (or squares) of different dimensions. The frame 12 also includes simple bent reinforcing bars, which increase the rigidity of the frame.

The interlocking members 14,16 connected by the spacers are in fact complex members in the sense that they are subdivided into two members, that is to say one member on each side of the frame. These so-called complex members make it possible to interlock on each side of the middle frame plane, with an offset. Here we must understand the offset as being the algebraic half-difference between the diameter of the circle circumscribing the first interlocking means (above the frame on the figure 2 ) and the diameter of the circle circumscribed to the second interlocking means (below the frame). The offset is such that the areas of the first and second rectangles (or squares) are in a ratio of between 1.05 and 1.60 and preferably between 1.10 and 1.40. Typically, this ratio is close to 1.15. The so-called complex members comprise a first sleeve 14, open on its upper side, in the orientation of the figure 2 and adapted to be nested by a candle or any interlocking member. The first bushing overcomes a flared portion 15. The base of this flared portion forms a support, possibly being based on a frame member. Another bushing 16 is fixed to the base of the flared portion 15 of the first bushing, open on the side of its lower part, according to the orientation of the figure 2 . This second bushing 16 is adapted to be nested by a frame member, such as a head post of drain extension. The first bushing 14 comprises a fixing bolt, intended to secure the interlocking by the candles 40. For a similar reason, the lower bushing 16 comprises a fixing screw.

The figure 3 is a front view of a storage bag in a frame.

En dessous de l'interface 10, une rehausse de vidange telle que décrite ci-avant est emboîtée avec l'interface 10.Candles are directly fitted with the interface 10, on one side of the chassis (above the interface 10, according to the orientation of the figure 3 ). More precisely, each of the candles is fitted at one of its ends 41 with an interlocking member of the interface 10. The cage then no longer has support, the role of the support being henceforth played by the interface 10. Below the interface 10, a drain extension as described above is nested with the interface 10.

A storage bag 70 is suspended from the frame (upper) of the cage, by means of straps 72 placed around hooks. The bag 70 can be opened at its base. The dimensions of the cage formed by the candles 40 and the frame 60 (and a support according to a variant) are adapted according to the optimal dimensions of the bag 70 and not the opposite. The criteria for optimizing the dimensions of bags will be described later.

Alternatively, the posts 54 used for the assembly of the riser 50 are identical to the candles 40 framing.

A first type of packaging (packaging A) comprises an adhesive storage bag and a pallet. The adhesive storage bag has flanks and a substantially rectangular base of dimensions 750 ± 50 × 1150 ± 50 mm. By substantially rectangular, it is meant that the relative difference between the area of the base and the smallest rectangle in which the base is inscribed is less than 25%. The pallet has a rectangular tray of dimensions 800 × 1200 mm, with European standard. The bag rests on the pallet plate by its base, the surface of the base being included in the surface of the plate.

In a second type of packaging, called packaging B), the storage bag has a substantially rectangular base, of dimensions 950 ± 50 × 1150 ± 50 mm. The pallet this time presents a rectangular plate of dimensions 1000 × 1200 mm. The bag also rests on the pallet plate by its base, the base surface being also included in the tray surface.

Such types of packaging make it possible to optimize palletization plans for their transport. Comparative examples of packaging carrying capacity are given below.

In the prior art, the storage bags are transported in framework cages, which are loaded into a truck. The example in Table 1 (as well as in the following tables) is based on a semi-trailer truck. This type of transport is particularly well suited for the transport of heavy products, whether or not packaged on pallets. The useful volume is assumed to be L13.44 x I 2.44 x H 2.35 m. In the following tables, a distinction is made between hot melt adhesives of "packaging" type and "wood" type, the density of which is different. Table 1: transport capacity of storage bags according to the prior art Size of the bag (mm) 990 x 990 x 850 Net volume / bag (m 3 ) 0.9 Overall dimensions of the cage (mm) 1130 x 1130 Gross volume of the cage (m 3 ) 1.5 Number of cages (bags) / complete truck 22 Net volume transported / complete truck 33 (m 3 ) Hot Melt Adhesive Transport "packaging": Net weight / bag (T) 0.5 Net weight transported / full truck (T) 11 Transport hot melt adhesive "wood" Net weight / bag (T) 0.75 Net weight transported / full truck (T) 16.5

Examination of these tables shows that the two types of packaging A and B give rise to a substantially equivalent palletizing efficiency. The small differences come from the ratio of bag / pallet surface, slightly different between cases A and B; these differences are not significant. Table 2: Transport capacity with packaging A Size of the bag (mm) 1150 × 750 × 1700 Net volume / bag (m 3 ) 1.5 Footprint of the packaging 1200 × 800 (Mm) Number of pallets / complete truck 33 Net volume transported / full truck (m 3 ) 48.4 "Packaging" hot melt adhesive transport: Net weight / bag (T) 0.8 Net weight transported / full truck (T) 26.4 Hot melt adhesive transport "wood": Net weight / bag (T) 1.1 Net weight transported / full truck (T) 36.3 Size of the bag (mm) 1150 × 950 × 1700 Net volume / bag (m 3 ) 1.9 Footprint of the packaging 1200 × 1000 (Mm) Number of pallets / complete truck 26 Net volume transported / full truck (m 3 ) 48.3 "Packaging" hot melt adhesive transport: Net weight / bag (T) 0.9 Net weight transported / full truck (T) 23.4 Hot melt adhesive transport "wood": Net weight / bag (T) 1.4 Net weight transported / full truck (T) 36.4

On the other hand, the carrying capacity of these packages A or B is singularly increased, compared with the prior art. For example, the net volume transportable by complete truck passes approximately 33 to 48 m 3 , the corresponding net weight of adhesive increasing in the same ratio, at equal density. Depending on the density of the adhesive, the theoretical total weight can easily exceed the usual 24T maximum payloads for a semi-trailer. In such a case, it will be possible to reduce the filling volume of the bags so as to cap the maximum payload of the truck used.

Packaging (type A or B) is also advantageous when using swap bodies or trailer trucks (typically 38/40 Euro-pallets or 30/32 Pallets 1000 × 1200) for their transport.

Furthermore, the invention also relates to a storage bag handling and storage method.

This method comprises a first step of providing: a frame and a packaging and a frame 60. The frame 20 is mounted on the place of destination of the bags or delivered already assembled (or partially). It includes a set of candles nested on a support. Where appropriate, the support 30 is fitted on an interface, which may optionally be fitted on another structural element such as a column stage or a drain extension. These frame elements are secured, after assembly, if necessary. The packaging provided includes a bag placed on a pallet.

The method then comprises a second step of gripping the frame, for example by the forks of a forklift truck that a driver inserts into the tunnels 62 of the fork of the frame, and lifting the frame.

The frame 60 is raised to a suitable height to allow attachment of the bag to the frame, for example by the introduction of straps 72 of the bag around frame hooks and this during a third step.

In a fourth step, the frame 60 is positioned to which the bag is fixed above the candles of the frame cage. Indeed, the dimensions of the cage of the frame 20 can be adapted to the dimensions of the bag, so as to allow insertion of the bag at least partially in front, through two candles of the frame 20. In particular, a bag in the packaging has a rectangular section (parallel to the base of the bag). The distance between two candles of the frame is chosen greater than one of the sides of the bag. In this way, the bag can be inserted in front of the frame. The operator responsible for positioning the bag is thus not obliged to insert the bag from above the cage, as is usually done. Such an improvement not only saves time (man-machine) but also saves substantial energy (raising a ton to two meters in height means compensating for a potential energy difference of about 20 kJ).

In a fourth step, the frame 60, to which the bag is suspended, is lowered and fitted with the candles 40 at their free ends 42. This gives a storage bag suspended in a frame, with improved time and for a longer period. decreased effort.

The invention is however not limited to the variants described above but is capable of many other variants easily accessible to those skilled in the art. In particular, the bags may be designed for other purposes than the storage of adhesive, adapting for this the material of the bag. For example, the bags can be made of laminated canvas, waterproof canvas, anti-static fabric and / or with an internal bag.
