Derartige Vorrichtungen zum Spinnen und Aufwickeln von mehreren synthetischen Fäden, die eine Spinneinrichtung mit mehreren Spinndüsen, zumindest eine Abzugsgalette und eine Aufwickeleinrichtung mit mehreren Wickelstellen enthalten, sind allgemein bekannt. Hierbei wird an der Spinneinrichtung eine Polymerschmelze mittels eines Schmelzeerzeugers auf mehrere Spinndüsen verteilt. In den Spinndüsen wird die Polymerschmelze unter Druck jeweils zu strangförmigen Filamentbündeln extrudiert, die nach der Abkühlung zu einem Faden zusammengeführt werden. Dabei werden die Fäden, bzw. die Filamentbündel vorzugsweise gemeinsam durch eine Abzugsgalette von den Spinndüsen abgezogen und zu den Wickelstellen der Aufwickeleinrichtung geführt. Die Auslenkung der Fäden ist dabei vom Abstand der Fäden in der Spinneinrichtung und von der Anzahl der parallel nebeneinander gesponnenen Fäden abhängig. Insbesondere bei einer großen Anzahl von Fäden tritt das Problem der unterschiedlich starken Auslenkung auf, die jedoch aufgrund von Vermeidung zu hoher Umschlingungsreibung begrenzt sind. Derartige Auslenkungen können nur durch eine entsprechend lange Zone zwischen der Spinneinrichtung und der Abzugsgalette verringert werden. Ebenso ist der Abstand zu der Aufwickeleinrichtung durch derartige begrenzte Auslenkungen vorbestimmt. Daraus folgt, daß die bekannten Vorrichtungen zum Spinnen und Aufwickeln von mehreren Fäden eine Einbauhöhe erfordert, die über mehrere Etagen reicht. Insbesondere ist damit die Bedienbarkeit derartiger Vorrichtungen insbesondere zum Anlegen der Fäden nur über mehrere Etagen möglich. Andererseits darf der Fadenabstand beim Zusammenführen der Fäden nach der Spinneinrichtung nicht zu groß gewählt werden, um sehr lang auskragende Abzugsgaletten zu vermeiden. Weiterhin tritt der Wunsch auf, aus Kosten- und Handhabungsgründen die Bauhöhe und die Breite der Vorrichtung begrenzt zu halten.
