Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ski provided for the practice of alpine skiing, and a pair of skis.
  • a ski comprises a central core which is surrounded by layers of reinforcement and which comprises on the underside a gliding sole with two edges, and on top a layer of decoration.
  • the patent application EP 907 390 describes a pair of skis where each ski has curved edges in asymmetric curves so that the inner edge of one ski and the outer edge of the other ski have the same center of curvature given the relative position that the skier imposes on these two skis during a turn on the snow.
  • FR-A-2773718 discloses wide planks of sliding on snow having inside the structure blades of metal reinforcements parallel to the surface of the board and asymmetrical.
  • An object of the invention is to provide an asymmetric ski construction which is even better suited to the practice of skiing according to the technique of "carving".
  • the invention proposes a ski comprising a central core, a lower reinforcement subassembly located under the core and resting on a gliding soleplate which is bordered by two lateral edges, and an upper reinforcement subassembly located on the top of the core, and covered by a decorative layer, each of the reinforcing subassemblies comprising one or more layers, at least one of the upper reinforcing layers having a central portion covering the top of the core and at least one side pan descending towards a square.
  • the ski is characterized in that at least one of the reinforcing layers of the upper reinforcement subassembly has an asymmetrical structure at its side panels along at least part of its length.
  • the ski represented in figure 1 is a beam 1 elongate in a longitudinal direction and slightly arched in a vertical plane.
  • the ski has a central portion 2 provided for receiving the retaining elements of the boot, and front and rear portions 4 and 5 which end respectively with the spatula 6 and the heel 7.
  • the ski has a lower sliding surface 8 which is bordered by two edges 9 and 10, a top surface 11 of decoration and side edges 13 and 14 between the upper surface and the side edges.
  • the structure of the ski comprises a central core 6.
  • the core is of any suitable material, especially wood or injected foam or machined, for example polyurethane foam. As is known, its sectional dimensions may vary along the length of the ski, and it may be formed of several elements juxtaposed transversely and / or vertically.
  • the core 6 rests on a sub-assembly of lower reinforcement 15, which itself rests on a sliding sole 16.
  • the sliding sole 16 provides the lower sliding surface 8.
  • An upper reinforcing subassembly 19 is disposed above the core 6. It preferably has the same type of structure as the lower subassembly, with a metal reinforcing layer 20 and a reinforcement layer 21 made of fibers impregnated with resin.
  • the assembly is covered with an outer layer 23 which is decorated and provides the upper surface 11 of decoration.
  • the reinforcing subassemblies preferably have the same type of structure to ensure stability of the camber of the ski.
  • the structure of the ski is not the same along the two lateral flanks of the ski. It is known that significant efforts cross these areas especially when the skier takes turns.
  • the fact of having a different structure makes it possible to manage differently the support of the ski on its outer and inner edges, and thus to manage differently the support of the skis inside and outside the turn.
  • the ski has a hybrid box structure with two reinforcement layers superimposed on the top and the bottom of the core, a metal bonding reinforcement along a sidewall and a binding reinforcement. in fiber on the other.
  • the similar structure of the ski on the top and the bottom of the core ensures stability of the camber of the ski.
  • the metallic side panel gives a powerful grip, the lateral pan in fibers makes it possible to dose the hanging of the ski on the snow.
  • the lateral reinforcements are arranged with mirror symmetry at their side panels.
  • the metal side panels are on the outside of the skis and the fiber panels on the inside.
  • this is not limiting and we can also do the opposite.
  • the figure 4 relates to an alternative embodiment.
  • the reinforcing layers 31 and 32 instead of being stopped at the junction between the top of the core 26 and one of the flanks 33 or 34 of the ski, the reinforcing layers 31 and 32 have side flaps 31b and 32b which extend the central portion 31c, 32c on the opposite side to the side panels 31a, 32a and which cover the flanks of the ski on only part of their height.
  • This method of construction facilitates the centering of the reinforcements on the core, in particular for a metal reinforcement when it is shaped beforehand.
  • the central portion 36c, 37c of the reinforcing layers 36, 37 can be set back from the lateral edge 35b, 35c of the core 35 on their side which is not extended by a lateral pan. .
  • This is illustrated in the figure 5 for the reinforcing layers 36 and 37.
  • the core 38 is covered with two reinforcing layers 40 and 41.
  • the layer 40 has a central portion 40c which extends on the upper face of the core 38 and a lateral flange 40a, 40b which descends along each of the two flanks 43 and 44 of the ski towards the edges so as to form an upper reinforcing shell.
  • the other reinforcing layer 41 is asymmetrical, it has a central portion 41c which covers the upper face of the core 38 and a flange 41a which descends along a single flank, the flank 44.
  • the asymmetrical reinforcing layer is placed below the symmetrical layer. This is not limiting and a reverse arrangement may also be suitable.
  • the reinforcing layers may be of the same type, in particular resin impregnated fiber layers, or they may be of a different nature, in particular a fiber reinforcement layer and a metallic reinforcement layer or still two layers of fibers of different nature, for example glass, carbon or aramid fibers embedded in an epoxy matrix. It is also possible to use layers whose fibers have different orientations, for example a longitudinal orientation and a transverse orientation, or else oblique orientations with respect to the longitudinal direction of the ski, on either side of the longitudinal direction defined by the ski, or even layers of different density.
  • the figure 7 relates to another embodiment of the invention.
  • the upper reinforcement subassembly comprises three reinforcement layers 48, 49 and 50.
  • the central portions 48c, 49c, 50c of the three reinforcement layers are superimposed with the layer 49 interposed between the layers 48 and 50.
  • the reinforcing layers are arranged asymmetrically.
  • the pan 49a of the intermediate layer 49 descends along one side of the ski, the flank 53, and side panels 48a and 50a of the other layers descend along the other side of the ski, the side 54.
  • the layers 48, 49 and 50 are of the same nature or of a different nature depending on their material, their density and / or the orientation of the fibers.
  • the upper reinforcement 68 or more generally the upper subassembly, has a single lateral section 68a which descends along one of the flanks of the ski, the flank 73.
  • a neutral element such as that for example a song 70 in phenol or ABS is pressed against the core 76.
  • the ski has a monocoque type structure along one of its flanks and a sandwich type structure along the other flank.
  • the embodiment of the figure 9 differs from the previous ones in that two spacers 80 and 81 lie edgewise on the edges 82 and 83. Instead of resting on the edges, the upper subassembly 85 and the decorative layer 86 rest on the top of the spacers 80 and 81. .
  • the upper reinforcement subassembly 85 has an asymmetrical structure.
  • the subassembly 85 comprises two layers 87 and 88 having side panels 87a, 88a which descend towards each of the spacers 80, 81.
  • Other asymmetric structures could of course be suitable.
  • the asymmetry of the ski structure may be homogeneous or heterogeneous.
  • the figure 10 and the following figures show a top view and developed an upper reinforcement layer for different modes of construction of a ski.
  • the dashed lines represent the fold line between the central portion of the reinforcement and its side panel (s).
  • the figure 10 shows a reinforcing layer 90 having a central portion 90c extended on one edge only and over the entire length of the reinforcement by a side panel 90a.
  • the dashed line marked 92 is the fold line of the reinforcing layer. There is no side panel on the other side of the central portion 90a.
  • the figure 11 illustrates a construction variant.
  • the reinforcement 96 has a central portion 96c and two side panels 96a, 96b which extend over the central portion 93 and the rear portion 94 of the ski.
  • the pan 96a In the front part of one of the side panels, in this case the pan 96a, is cut along the fold line. As a result, it is discontinuous along the length of the reinforcement.
  • pan 98a is also discontinuous. It is present only in the central part, the other pan 98b is present over the entire length of the reinforcement.
  • the figure 13 shows another alternative embodiment of a discontinuous side panel with a reinforcement 99, one of the side panels, the pan 99a extends in the rear part and the central part, and the side panel 99b is present in the central part. and the front part.
  • the reinforcement 100 has a discontinuous lateral pan 100a which extends over the entire length of the reinforcement except in its central zone.
  • the other reinforcement 100b extends over the entire length.
  • the side panel 101a extends in the rear only part of the reinforcement, the other side panel extends over the entire length.
  • the reinforcement 102 has a side panel 102a which extends in the rear part and the other side panel 102b which extends in the front part of the reinforcement.
  • each of the layers can be made according to the same cutting mode, or according to different cutting modes.
  • the upper reinforcement layers could cover only a part of it.
