Abstract

The present application relates to a display device (8) for wick holders (1), a wick holder comprising a support (2) on which a wick (4) is fixedly mounted, so that the display comprises a neck (10) from which one can insert one end (5) of the support, in particular the opposite end to that (3) at the level of which the wicks are mounted. The display also comprises a compartment (9) preferably located under the neck so that the support slides in this compartment until it abuts against a bottom (22) of the compartment, part of the strands of the wick remaining at inside the neck.

Description

The present invention relates to a wick holder display device, such as used to present, at a point of sale or in a hair salon, shades of color from a range of hair coloring products.

Traditionally, the highlights in the colors of a product range coloring, are configured in the form of loops, and glued on a support, by cardboard example. Such a mode of presentation has the disadvantage that the lock of hair is short and by its permanent fixing on a support of relatively large, it is difficult for the client to have a precise idea and realistic what would give on his own hair such or such color of the range. Finally, these supports being relatively large, they are usually stored in positions that do not allow good visibility wicks they contain.

From the teaching of document FR-A-2,821,967, we know a display of wicks in which each wick is mounted on an independent support, each support and each wick together forming as many wick holders, these wick holders each comprising a protective element sliding along the support to be either in a first position around the support, or in a second position mainly around the wick.

The known display is such that it includes a base on which are mounted two plexiglass plates between which are defined inclined compartments suitable for receiving the wick holders. To allow the gripping of the wick holders once inserted in their respective compartments, the wick holders must have a length greater than the depth of the said compartments to be able to be grabbed. The wick holder is inserted by a free end of its support in the compartment, and only traction exerted at the protruding end of the protective element, then in its second position, removes the wick holder from this compartment. Indeed, only this end of the protective element, or simply one end of the wicks are accessible once the wick holder is inserted in its compartment.

In the case where the protective element is in its second position, then the grip is easy, but on the other hand the visibility of the wicks thus presented is not perfect. Indeed, depending on the lighting, reflections linked on the one hand to the plexiglass and on the other hand the thickness of the protective element, prevent viewing correctly the color or the nuances of the corresponding wick. Therefore, the client grabbed strands that she didn't like in the end and she risked possibly not noticing the color or shade that might have take away your choice in a sustainable way.

In the case where the protective element is in its first position, then the socket the wick holder is made directly by the wick. But this solution does not remove the problems of reflections and lack of visibility linked to the plexiglass of the display, and moreover this type of presentation contributes to an accelerated degradation of wicks thus presented and seized. Especially if the client does not enter all strands of the wick out of the display, strands not grasped are then subjected to compression stresses inside the compartment and can be broken or permanently bent, which no longer gives the wicks a very attractive appearance.

Also, is it an object of the invention to provide a display device for wicks resolving all or part of the problems discussed above in reference to conventional presentation systems.

It is in particular an object of the invention to produce a wick holder device ensuring good protection of the wick, while allowing the consumer to realize precisely the real color of the wick compared to her hair by offering removable wick holders of their display.

It is another object of the invention to produce a wick holder device to obtain as realistic a representation of color as possible supposed to be reproduced by the wick, giving direct access to the wicks from the display.

It is yet another object of the invention to provide a wick holder display which is economical to produce, and which provides a means of presenting the wicks correctly and in the most objective way possible. Furthermore, this display allows you to easily store the wick holders, while offering a means allowing them to be easily removed from their display without damaging their wick.

Other objects will appear in the detailed description which follows.

According to the invention, all or part of the foregoing objects are achieved by producing a device for the presentation of at least one wick holder, comprising a wick formed of a plurality of strands and of which a first end is mounted on a support , a second end opposite the first being free, the device defining at least one compartment, comprising:

i) means for allowing the introduction of a wick holder via its support, the compartment being oriented so that the wick holder thus introduced descends into the compartment under the effect of its weight;

ii) means for guiding the movement of the support towards a stop capable of immobilizing the support in a storage position; and

iii) means for, when the support is in engagement with the stop, keeping the strands of the wick grouped over substantially its entire length, the device being configured so that the wick holder can be removed without the support goes through the means of introduction.

So, to insert the wick holder in the display, first insert the support in a compartment opening. The wick protruding from the support is driven through this opening, so that the strands of this wicks are brought together so as to be grouped appreciably smoothed over their entire length.

Advantageously, the opening of the compartment is chamfered to facilitate the insertion of the support, facilitate the passage of the support through the means introduction towards the guide means, and finally bring the tuft of strands in an elongated structure, so that the strands are generally oriented in the same direction.

Advantageously also, these means for allowing the introduction participate also to maintain the bundled strands, they form for example a neck which at least partially masks the free end of the strands, when the wick holder is in its storage position. This also ensures the assembled structure of the wick visible from outside the display device.

On the other hand, when the wick holder is thus placed in the storage position, the wick is at least partially visible and accessible to the touch, thus allowing the consumer to realize precisely the color and appearance of the wick. Indeed, the means for guiding arranged under the opening form a slide of which at least a portion is open.

For better use, and to get a clear idea of what the color in question will return to her own hair, the consumer will grasp the wick by its support by disengaging it from a bottom of the compartment in which it is retained, and will remove the wick holder through the opening provided at the slide open. The wick holder does not come out by the introduction means, and can be taken out directly from its storage position. So the risks damage to the wick is limited even after multiple entries and exits from the display. The entry of the wick holder into the display is done according to a different trajectory from his exit from the same display.

Preferably, the means for guiding comprise a curved portion, of preferably at the level where the strands are presented. So the visible part of the strands is curved and allows whatever the origin of the lighting to present the different reflections that a wick can present in response to this type of lighting.

Preferably also, the means for guiding comprise a portion straight, preferably of a length substantially identical to the length of the X axis support, along this X axis. Indeed, to simplify the construction of the wick holder it is generally cylindrical, and for good retention of such support in the compartment, this comprises a rectilinear shaped portion complementary. This straight portion corresponds for example to a tube truncated along the X axis so that the truncated portion of this tube spares a access to the wick holder presented there.

Advantageously, due to the rigid nature of the holder of the wick holder, a inner section of the means for allowing the introduction is provided for allow oblique positioning of the support in this introduction means, and thus authorize the passage without blockages of the support towards a curved portion of the means to guide.

More preferably, and for the same purpose, a center of the means for allow the introduction is offset from a center of the means for guiding, the center of the means to guide corresponding for example to a center of revolution of a cylinder truncated longitudinally and acting as a means for guide. The guide means may also have a portion formed as a flexible hose bent and truncated longitudinally. Overall, the means for guiding constitutes an open slide.

Preferably, an internal diameter of a conduit formed by the means introduction is greater than an outside diameter of the support which is generally cylindrical. Relatively, an inner diameter of the guide means is less to an internal diameter of the introduction means.

Advantageously, the stop is of planar shape, and forms a secant and acute angle relative to an axis of the guide means, part of the end of the support remains visible even when it is in abutment against this plane, namely in the position of storage.

According to a preferred embodiment, a display comprises a plurality of display devices, for example arranged so that a plurality corresponding means to allow the introduction is defined at the level of a plate, below which as many guide means are defined correspondents to receive as many wicks.

For example, the tray of such a display is mounted on a rotating shaft, arranged in the center of this tray, and the display devices according to the invention are arranged at the periphery of this plateau, so as to make visible the locks of this plurality of display devices at the outer periphery of this tray turning.

A wick holder 1 intended to be inserted into a display device according to the invention can for example be such as that shown in Figure 1. This wick holder 1 comprises a support 2 at a first end 3 from which is mounted fixedly a wick 4. The support 2 constitutes a gripping member of the wick holder 1. It is for example obtained from ABS molding.

The support 2 is preferably tubular, elongated along an axis X. A length L1 of this support along this axis X is for example of the order of 45 millimeters, with an outside diameter D1 of the order of 9 millimeters. A second end 5 of the support, opposite along the X axis at the first end 3, is closed. Through example, this end can be closed by a plug 6 mounted independently on the support 2. The first end 3, and if necessary the cap 6, preferably have a hemispherical shape, so as to provide a rounded end. The plug 6 can be made of a different material and or having a different color from the support 2, it then serves as an indicator.

The wick 4 has strands. Preferably, all of these strands are connected to the support along said X axis. The strands are generally flexible and generally have different colors or shades of the same range of hair products. Wick 4 can comprise of the order of 1000 to 20,000 strands, and preferably between 1,000 and 10,000 strands, and more preferably, about 3000 strands. The strands of the wick may consist of hair natural or synthetic, especially nylon. Preferably, a length L2 strands protruding from the support 2 is of the order of 100 millimeters. With such wick holder 1, the lock of hair 4 can thus be of sufficient length to offer the consumer a color effect as realistic as possible.

According to a particular embodiment, the first end 3 of the support 2 is hollow so as to receive, in particular tightly, a portion glued end 7 of said wick 4. To accommodate all the strands of the wick 4 tightly, an internal diameter D2 of the hollow of the first end 3 is around 8 millimeters. A length L3 of the glued portion 7 of the wick can be of the order of 10 millimeters. The total length of the wick is then the sum of the lengths L2 and L3, and in this example is about 110 millimeters.

Alternatively, it is possible to imagine that the support is in the form of two hollow half-cylinders articulated around an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the support. In such a configuration, one end of the lock of hair is introduced into the support in the open position of the two half cylinders. After introduction of the wick, the two half cylinders are closed one on the other of so as to maintain said end of the wick by tightening.

A grip part of the support 2 forms a handle and can be a portion along the axis X of reduced section, this section can be circular with possibly one or more flats, so that it can be easily taken between thumb and index or middle finger. In a variant, as shown in Figure 1, the support 2 may have a curved outline, so as to present concave walls, with a section gradually decreasing to form the muff.

In the storage position the wick holder 1 is disposed on a display device 8 according to the invention. The display device 8 comprises a compartment 9 in which can be presented the wick holder 1.

The compartment 9 includes means for allowing the introduction of the wick holder 1, for example this means for allowing the introduction has a cross section of a perimeter greater than half the circumference of the support 2. For example, this cross section forms a delimited opening integrally by a wall and forming a neck 10 from which can be inserted this wick holder 1. The neck 10 forms a funnel of closed cross section so as to allow the wick holder 1 to descend and orient in one slide formed under this funnel. The slide has a cross section opened. Without detracting from its function as a means of allowing introduction, the neck 10 can also be, to a certain extent, with an open cross section, within the limits of what it can keep the strands of the wick holder together when it is in its storage position. Bottleneck 10 in this example therefore allows the introduction of the support 2 into the compartment 9, and ensures also maintaining the strands thus gathered.

The neck 10 has an inlet orifice 11. The inlet orifice 11 is for example chamfered 12, which allows the strands of wick 4 to be redirected when they pass through the neck 10. For the same purpose, the neck 10 may present just in below the inlet 11 a frustoconical portion 13 whose diameter interior decreases away from the entrance 11. The neck 10 plays a role funnel for the strands of the wick.

In this storage position, the neck 10 keeps the strands at their free end 14, opposite, along the X axis, the portion glued 7, opposite to the area at which they are retained in the support 2.

Preferably, a section of this inlet 11 forms a stage. That is to say that it is bounded by two semicircles, 15 and 16 respectively, and ends free 15 ', 15 ", 16' and 16" of these two semicircles are linked in pairs by respectively two segments 17 'and 17 "of the same length. For example, the internal diameter D3 of the two semicircles 15 and 16 is of the order of 9.7 millimeters, and the length L4 of the segments 17 ′ and 17 "is of the order of 1 millimeter each.

The internal section of the neck 10 decreases by sinking into the neck. Indeed, the frustoconical portion 13 ends in an interior opening 18 less than the inlet orifice 11. For example, the neck 10 also includes a portion tubular 19 defining itself under the frustoconical portion 13 and having a equal internal section and continuity with the internal opening 18.

At the outlet of the neck 10, for example at the outlet of the tubular portion 19, the latter has an outlet orifice 20 from the neck 10 which opens onto the means for guide the wick holder 1 into its storage position, namely the slide also known as a slide or rail.

The interior section of this outlet 20, which is still stadium-like, has ends in the shape of semicircles but having a diameter interior D4 lower than that of the semicircles of the inlet orifice 11. For example, this internal diameter D4 is of the order of 9.5 millimeters. The stadium segments formed by the section of the outlet orifice 20 may be less than or equal in length to those of inlet 11. For example they can be zero, at which the outlet orifice 20 then has a circular section.

Preferably, the center 21 of the interior section 11, and those of the sections 18 and 20, are aligned along a preferred axis Y of introduction of the support 2 in the neck 10. Preferably this axis Y is vertical, that is to say of preferably parallel to the forces of gravity. So if we insert at least partially the support 2 in the neck 10 from the inlet 11, and then let go, this one under the effect of the forces of gravity will naturally descend into the frustoconical portion 13, then in the tubular portion 19, and finally in the slide located under the neck 10, until it abuts against a bottom 22 of this compartment.

In a variant, this preferential axis Y of introduction can form an angle by vertical, within the limit that the wick holder 1 has a weight sufficient to be able to descend completely until reaching bottom 22 of compartment 9.

The compartment 9, under the neck 10, generally forms a rail, i.e. a slide able to guide the support to its storage position. Indeed, it allows drive the wick holder 1 until it comes into abutment against the bottom 22, and moreover, the wick holder 1 once reached its storage position, can nevertheless be caught. The rail indeed has a rigid structure including one section in section forms an arc 23, preferably a semicircle.

Preferably, an internal diameter D5 of this semicircle formed by the rail is smaller than the dimensions of the outlet orifice 20. For example, the diameter D5 of this semicircle of the rail is of the order of 9.3 millimeters. This decrease progressive internal diameter of the structure in which the wick holder slides 1 slows down its descent to the bottom 22 of the compartment. However, the inner diameter D5 of the rail, always remains greater than the diameter outside D1 of support 2.

The rail schematically corresponds to a pipe including a longitudinal strip, along the main elongation axis of the pipe, is cut so that it can give access to the interior of this rail. This cutout is intended to allow to have access, and to be able to take, an object of generally cylindrical shape which would be inserted into this pipe, such as support 2.

Another way to slow down the stroke of the wick holder 1 is to provide the rail with at least one curved portion 24, the curved portion 24 preferably being arranged just at the outlet 20 of the neck 10. For example, a radius of curvature of this curved portion 24 is of the order of 170 millimeters. The opening formed by the compartment, due to its open slide shape, is defined on the inside the curvature of the curved portion 24.

In this case, a curve C connecting the centers of the radial sections of each part of this curved portion 24 intersects the Y axis at a point 25 inside the neck 10, near the outlet orifice 20.

Seen from above, Figure 3, the center 21 of the inlet 11 is slightly offset towards the rear relative to this point 25, the concept of rear being defined as being the position furthest from the visible face of the wick holder, i.e. outside of the curve of the curved portion 24. This offset, offset arrangement allows to guarantee the possibility of passage of the support 2 through the neck 10 in rail direction. This angular clearance allows not to jam the sleeve 2 in the neck 10 because of its length L1 along the axis X, when the latter crosses said neck.

The rail also has a straight portion 26. In the case where it has also a curved portion as shown above, so it ends in preferably by the rectilinear portion 26, itself limited by the bottom 22 of the compartment. Due to the curvature of the curved portion 24, the straight portion 26 is then inclined relative to the vertical, it forms for example an angle between 25 and 30 ° from the vertical.

When the second end of the support 2 abuts against the bottom 22, the wick holder is in the storage position, and then preferably, the support 2 comes wedge at the rectilinear portion 26, while the strands of the wick 4 are slightly bend in the curved portion 24 of compartment 9. The portions rectilinear 26 and curve 24 respectively have dimensions adapted to the dimensions of the wick holder 1. The free end 14 of the strands of the wick 4 remains gathered inside the neck 10. As a result, the visibility of the wick is reduced, preferably for wicks with the dimensions stated above, approximately 70 millimeters of this wick 4 remain visible in the position for storing the wick holder in the display device 8.

To remove the wick holder 1 from its compartment 9, preferably the wall formed by the slide comprises means E1 and E2 to enable the wick holder 1 of the display rack 8. For example, these means correspond to two lateral notches E1 and E2. These notches E1 and E2 are preferably made in the rectilinear portion 26, they are for example diametrically opposed by on either side of the slide. The slide in this portion 26 consists of a cylinder truncated longitudinally along a plane passing through the diameters of the sections of this cylinder. The notches are therefore formed so that at least a cross section of the slide forms, at their level, an arc of a circle periphery less than that of a semicircle. Preferably, these notches allow you to place a finger with one hand, for example thumb and index finger each respectively in one of the notches, so that you can grasp the wick holder 1.

To be able to place at least one finger, these means E1 or E2 are defined, either at the curved portion 24, or at the straight portion 26, on a length along the Y axis or along the curve C respectively such that the cross sections correspond to arcs of arc-length circles much less than half the circumference of the support 2.

In addition, to be able to extract the wick holder 1 seized, it is necessary that the slide has a cross-section in the shape of an arc of circle with a maximum arc length equal to half the circumference support 2.

The bottom 22 of the compartment preferably has a planar shape. This plan 22 is arranged so that between the straight portion 26 and this planar shape 22, a angle slightly less than 90 ° is defined. This provision makes it possible to retain the support 2 in its storage position, and to stop the race during its down through the neck 10 and along the compartment slide 9.

Alternatively, the bottom 22 can have a cup shape, namely a receptacle hemispherical particularly adapted to receive the second end 5 also hemispherical of the support 2. When the wick holder 1 is disposed in compartment 9, the cup is such that it nevertheless leaves an apparent part of this second end which can serve as an indicator.

The wick holder 1 described is preferably produced in a block 27 which allows guarantee the respective orientations of the neck and the compartment. For example this block 27 can be made by molding or machining a material thermoplastic, in particular a polystyrene, a polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile polystyrene (SAN) or styrene acrylobutadiene (ABS). Similarly, the support 2 of the wick holder 1 can be obtained from these same materials.

In a particular embodiment, several display devices are produced. in the same block 27. In this case, insofar as the objective of the display is to make the wick holders such as 1 stored there, display devices are preferably formed at the periphery of the block. This block 27 has an upper face 28, comparable to a plate, at the level of which is formed the plurality of inlet ports such as 11 opening respectively on a plurality of necks such as 10 forming the plurality of compartments 9 defined under this upper face 28.

For example, block 27 consists of a parallelepiped in which are formed several displays, for example all identical to each other. The displays may in particular in the compartments not be in contact with each other with the others, only the necks being defined in a single mass and flush with this same upper face 28. In this case, a space vacuum is defined between each slide of each compartment 9. The compartments are for example arranged one parallel to the other, and their respective slides are made accessible, for example, on one side front 29 of block 27, this front face 29 is preferably intersecting with the face upper 28, as the wick holders are designed to descend by gravity in their respective compartments.

In this example, the display device 8 may include means 30 for prevent access to the wick holders. Indeed, the presence of an applied bar across the different compartments, especially if it applies against the corresponding holders of the wick holders can prevent the exit of all wicks simultaneously.

Indeed, since the free end 14 of the locks is not grippable from the inlet orifice 11 of the neck, the presence of this bar 30 provided with a locking means secures the storage of the wick holders in their display. The free end 14 is in fact located in the neck 10, when the support 2 touches the bottom 22. The wicks do not protrude from the upper face 28 at the orifice 11, inside which they remain visible. They have a length such that their end 14 is hidden inside the neck 10, and this over a sufficient length so that the flexibility of these strands does not lead provided that they come out of the neck through the outlet orifice 20. The strands thus remain aligned and guided in the slide formed by compartment 9.

In a variant, the display device 8 is in the form of a carousel, or a carousel, presenting for example thirty-six devices such as 8 to receive as many wick holders as 1. The upper face 28 of the block 27 is in this circular variant, and the necks 10 are defined at the periphery of this circle. Preferably, then, the block 27 is mounted on a rotary shaft of so that the block can be rotated. This shaft, rotary or not, has a height greater than the height defined by the compartments surmounted by their bottleneck. These compartments hang under the circular upper face 28 and descend in corolla flaring at their base to present the different wicks. Thus, the opening formed by the various compartments is oriented towards an outer periphery of the plateau. The rotary shaft is for example erected with a base 31.

Preferably, in this variant, each compartment is independent of other compartments.

An embodiment of a display device, presented in FIG. 6, according to this variant provides for separately molding on the one hand the tray having the necks 10 and on the other hand the compartments 9 defining themselves under this tray, the two elements then being assembled one inside the other. To this end, the first molded part, namely the plate, forms the block 27 with its upper face 28 relatively flat, at the level of which the thirty-six orifices are formed input such as 11. Block 27 is molded of variable thickness to define at need the necks such as 10.

On the other hand, at this stage, the bottlenecks do not yet have their final interior periphery. Indeed, the definitive inner periphery of these necks will be obtained after assembly of the second molded element 32. In fact, the neck 10 is formed by two half cones, the first 10a is formed in the cavity defined in the first element molded 27, and the second 10b is formed in the second molded member 32 and presented in the extension of the curved part 24 of compartment 9. At this indeed, the zone of the inner periphery of this cavity intended to form the neck 10, is provided to receive the second half cone 10b. For this purpose, the area presents a wider periphery such as the borders of the first half cone 10a serve as vertical guide rail for mounting the second molded element 32 from the orifice 11 of the first molded element 27.

This second molded element 32 has a rib on its outer periphery 33 to stiffen it, and also cooperating with a groove 34 to the inside of the neck 10 of the first molded element so as to ensure its retention. This groove 34 is in fact produced in a part of the periphery interior, distinct from the first half cone 10a. This cooperation provides for a mounting by clipping, i.e. elastic cooperation between two surfaces presented respectively on the rib 33 and the groove 34.

Part of the block 27 constituting the display device, and or part of the holder of the wick holder, can be reserved for the affixing in particular of a decoration, a brand, logo or any other commercial information associated with the coloring product. For example, the support may have a flat surface on which inscriptions can be screen printed.

Claims (15)

Device (8) for presenting at least one wick holder (1), comprising a wick (4) formed of a plurality of strands and of which a first end (7) is mounted on a support (2), a second end (14) opposite the first being free, the device defining at least one compartment (9), comprising: iv) means (10) for allowing the introduction of a wick holder via its support, the compartment being oriented so that the wick holder thus introduced descends into the compartment under the effect of its weight; v) means (24, 26) for guiding the movement of the support in the direction of a stop (22) capable of immobilizing the support in a storage position; and vi) means (10) for, when the support is in engagement with the stop, keeping the strands of the wick grouped over substantially its entire length, the device being configured (E1, E2) so that the wick holder can be extracted without the support passing through the introduction means. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the free end (14) of the strands is hidden in a neck formed by the means for holding the strands together, when the wick holder is in the storage position. Device according to claim 1 or 2 characterized in that the means for guiding the movement of the support is an open slide and makes it possible to view at least one section of the wick. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the means for guiding comprise a curved portion (24), preferably at the level where the strands are presented.
