Claims (14)

  1.     characterized in that the press (12) includes a strip support table (20) that is received between uprights (22) of the chassis (14) and is disposed longitudinally between the tool (16) and the spool support (18), at least one strip conveyor (24) of which is adapted to feed the tool (16) with metal strip (17), and that is mobile between:
    - a compact storage position in which it is retracted from the tool (16) in particular to enable changing of the tool (16), and
    - a deployed working position in which it comes alongside the tool (16) at a particular initial rest height of the tool (16), and then accompanies the tool (16) as it moves vertically to support the metal strip (17) while it is processed in the press (12).
  2. Press installation (10) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the strip support table (20) includes a frame (28) arranged longitudinally at a particular distance from the tool (16) of the press (12), on which are received in longitudinal translation a front frame (30) the length of which is substantially equal to that of the frame (28), which includes at least one conveyor (24, 24a, 24b) and which is guided in translation on the frame (28), and a rear curtain (32), the length of which is substantially equal to that of the frame (28), which is connected to the front frame (30), and which are mobile between:
    - a retracted position, corresponding to the compact storage position of the table (20), in which the front frame (30) occupies a rear horizontal position bearing completely on the frame (28) and in which the rear curtain (32), held by the front frame (30), hangs behind the frame (28) in a vertical position substantially perpendicular to the front frame (30),
    - an advanced position, corresponding to the deployed working position of the table (20), in which the front frame (30) comes alongside the tool (16), its front free end being articulated to the tool (16) about a transverse axis (D), its rear end (35) joined to the rear curtain (32) bearing on the frame (28), and the rear curtain (32) being deployed on the frame (28) substantially horizontally in line with the front frame (30).
  3. Press installation (10) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the rear curtain (32) consists of a cascade of parallel chains (36) that are spaced transversely from each other and the links (38) of which adapted to nest one within the other when the rear curtain (32) is deployed on the frame (28) substantially horizontally in line with the front frame (30), to form a rigid surface, held between the front frame and the rear end (40) of the frame (28), which is adapted to allow sliding of the metal strip (17).
  4. Press installation (10) according to either of Claims 2 or 3, characterized in that the front frame (30) includes a plurality of parallel longitudinal lines (42) of wheels (44) and in that the rear curtain (32) includes wheels (46) arranged on either side of each of the links (38) of its chains (36) to provide for sliding of the metal strip (17).
  5. Installation (10) according to any of Claims 2 to 4, characterized in that the front frame (30) includes a plurality of parallel strip conveyors (24, 24a, 24b) that are spaced from each other and each of which consists of a magnetized and motorized conveyor belt, in particular:
    - a magnetized and motorized conveyor belt (24a) that extends in the front frame (30) between two lines of adjacent wheels, and/or
    - a magnetized and motorized conveyor belt (24b) that is mounted on actuators (48) mounted on a carriage (49) adapted to accompany movement of the front frame (30).
  6. Press installation (10) according to any of Claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the frame (28) includes at least two rails (47) that receive rollers (50) arranged under the front frame (30) to guide translation of the front frame (30) between the compact storage position and the deployed working position of the table (20).
  7. Press installation (10) according to any of Claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the free end (34) of the front frame (30) and the tool (16) include complementary abutment and articulation means with transverse axis (D) that are adapted, in the working position of the table (20), to cooperate with each other to articulate and allow vertical relative movement of the front frames (30) and the rear curtain (32).
  8. Press installation (10) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the complementary abutment and articulation means include:
    - at least one pair of articulation rollers (52), aligned transversely, carried by arms (54) extending substantially horizontally from the front face (34) of the front frame (30),
    - at least one pair of tracks (56) carried by the tool (16), each oriented horizontally, which are aligned transversely in line with the articulation rollers (52), which extend substantially from a rear face (58) of the tool (16), which each include an inclined introduction ramp (60) to facilitate introduction of the articulation roller (52) into the associated track (56) and which each include a mechanical abutment (62) for the associated articulation roller (52).
  9. Press installation (10) according to any of Claims 2 to 8, characterized in that the press (12) includes means for positioning the front frame (30) according to the particular initial rest height of the tool (16) to enable the articulation rollers (52) of the front frame (30) to come alongside the tracks (56) of the tool.
  10. Press installation (10) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the means for positioning the front frame (30) according to the particular initial rest height of the tool include at least one pair of vertical actuators (64), aligned transversely and arranged in the proximity of the end of the rails (47) of the frame (28), the ends of which carry support rollers (66), and which are adapted to be deployed to raise the front frame (30) so that their rollers (66) guide said front frame between its horizontal rear position and its front position, and then to be retracted once the articulation rollers (52) of the front frame (30) have been received into the tracks (56) of the tool (16).
  11. Press installation (10) according to any of Claims 2 to 10, characterized in that the press (12) includes motorization means disposed between the front frame and the frame, in particular a system comprising a motor (68) and a lead screw (70).
  12. Press installation (10) according to the preceding claim, in conjunction with Claim 8, characterized in that the press (12) includes at least one end of stroke sensor (74) that is adapted, when the articulation rollers (52) of the front frame are received in and abut in the associated tracks (60), to send an end of stroke instruction for the attention of a central control unit commanding stopping of the translation motorization means of the front frame (30) and commanding retraction of the actuators (64).
  13. Press installation (10) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the end of stroke sensor (74) is arranged on the free end face (34) of the front frame (30).
  14. Press installation (10) according to either of Claims 12 or 13 in conjunction with Claim 5, characterized in that the conveyor belts (24, 24a, 24b) are motorized by a stepper servomotor that is controlled by the central control unit and in that they are adapted to drive the metal strip (17) at least:
    - at the start of the spool (19), to feed the tool (16) with metal strip (17),
    - at the end of the spool (19), to accompany the end of the strip (17) to reduce wastage of the metal strip (17).
