Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a skimmer (surface skimmer), about the running off of a swimming pool or aspirated Water is discharged, being in a housing Floating hinged pivotally.
Skimmers have the job of polluting, near-surface To supply water to a filter. To the pollutions can also solid particles, such as leaves, dust or similar floating Parts belong. The over the Skimmerwehr in the Skimmer housing entering water is over for this purpose a drain, possibly arranged in the hair and a fiber basket is fed to a filter for water purification. in this connection Pumps are often used as suction. Any overflows provided in the swimming pool as well as floor drains or their connections are mostly via a common Line connected so that the entire pool control for extracting the water surface or the soil via a Liquid flow regulator can be controlled, so only a line leading to the liquid filter is required.
Nach dem Stand der Technik bekannte Schwimmbecken bestehen aus Stahl, Aluminium oder einem Kunststoff, insbesondere Polyester., Skimmers are in the pool wall about the level of the water surface installed in niches provided there or in Case of retrofitting in concrete swimming pools or during replacement a not identical Skimmers on the edge of the pool placed. A cast-in or attached skimmer will from the pool inner wall side if necessary by a frame-shaped Aperture completed to cover plating margins. To known in the art swimming pools consist of Steel, aluminum or a plastic, in particular polyester.
The previously known lifejackets, such as e.g. the swim of the skimmer described in the document US 4 348 281 have an upper straight Edge, so that the running or pumped out water always with the same speed is passed over this edge.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a skimmer create, by means of which improved water flow conditions be created, in particular, the suction effect on Solid particles (dust, leaves etc.) on the water swim, be strengthened.
To solve this problem, the skimmer according to claim 1 proposed, which according to the invention has a Schwimmwehr, whose upper edge has at least one indentation. Preferably a single indentation is provided in the is arranged substantially centrally.
Surprisingly, it has been found that such Indentation an (additional) flow below the immediate Water surface generated, through which a synergy effect on the current at the water surface is exercised. A skimmer has, based on the to be cleaned Water surface of a swimming pool a relative small inlet. Will water from the surface over the skimmer sucked by a pump, the Schwimmwehr tilts from the vertical into an inclination, so that the entire Schwimmwehroberkante lies below the water surface. By the indentation, the suction effect and thus the flow velocity the running water significantly increased, so that those located in the catchment area of Skimmeröffnung Dirt particles on the water surface of the Swimming pool are effectively sucked. impurities like leaves, insects, dust etc., can thus be guided in the shortest time in the skimmer basket. After switching off the pump, by means of the extracted water is guided to a filter, the swimming weir pivots back to the essentially vertical position, so that the complete upper edge including indentation above the water level stands. This prevents the Dirt from the collection basket back into the pool can get.
Die Höhe der Einbuchtung, gemessen an derem tiefsten Punkt, beträgt 20 bis 30 mm.According to a further embodiment of the invention, the proposed Indentation concave and / or with a constant radius trained, which is largely undesirable turbulence avoid the Schwimmwehrkante. The indentation preferably extends over about 35 to 45%, in particular 40%, the total width of the Schwimmwehrs. The high of Dent, measured at the lowest point, is 20 to 30 mm.
In the swimming weirs according to the invention is the necessary Buoyancy in the pendulum movement of the Schwimmwehres for example by attaching a closed-cell foam guaranteed. However, an improved buoyancy is characterized Achieves that the swim weir from a floatable body whose specific weight is significantly lighter than Water is. Preferably, a better floatability achieved in that the floating weir has cavities, the preferably in the region of the upper edge and / or in the upper Area of the side edges are arranged. The swimming weir preferably consists of a plastic body, by means of a plastic blowing with corresponding cavities has been produced.
It is well known, the lifejackets by hinges or other joints to attach to the Skimmergehäuse. Apart from the fact that some of the installation relatively expends is, the known joints have the disadvantage that They are not maintenance-free because of unfavorable tolerances the bearings or by contamination by lime or Dirt the rotation can be inhibited until it is clamped so that a perfect function is no longer guaranteed is. To remedy this situation, the swimming weir on his attached lower edge via a film hinge, i. one repeatedly releasable latching hinge, which ensures that the Schwimmwehr in Nichtabsaugung in vertical position remains. Preferably, the film hinge is so with a Suction device (pump) connected to the swim weir Switching off the suction device in the vertical position guided and locked in this position. In appropriate Way, when switching on the suction pump, the film hinge unlocked. Besides the advantage that in the area of Skimmers remaining dirt particles when switched off Do not pump back to the pool water surface the design has the further advantage that the attachment of a film hinge cheaper finished, since this hinge is then an integral part of the preferably made of plastic Schwimmwehres is.

The skimmer shown in Fig. 1 to 3 consists of a
According to the invention the
