Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for transporting people or loads on a staircase with slopes different and / or turns, including two guide rails fixed one above the other along the stairs, a frame movable along the guide rails, a support mounted on the built and intended to receive at least one person or a load, drive means for moving the frame along the rails guidance, and attitude correction means to maintain the support horizontally whatever the slope of the staircase.
- the devices currently designed to transport people or loads on a staircase with slopes different include attitude correction means complicated, difficult to carry out and expensive.
- the present invention more particularly proposes to provide a solution to this problem and, to do this, it has for object a transport device having the structure indicated above and characterized in that the attitude correction means include a first articulation ensuring a pivoting connection between the support and the frame, two movable upper ball joints along the upper guide rail and on which the frame, a lower ball joint movable along the guide rail lower, an arm bent fixed at the level of its elbow on the patella lower, a second articulation ensuring a pivoting connection between the free end of one of the branches of the bent arm and the frame, and a connecting rod connected to the support by a third articulation and at the free end of the other branch of the arm bent by a fourth joint, all the joints being horizontal and parallel to each other.
- the attitude correction means include a first articulation ensuring a pivoting connection between the support and the frame, two movable upper ball joints along the upper guide rail and on which the frame, a lower ball joint movable along the guide rail lower, an arm bent fixed at the level
- attitude correction means have a simple structure, which allows them to be made and assembled easily while limiting the cost price of the transport device.
- the guide rails are fixed on uprights distributed along the stairs and fitted with cable ties in each of which is fixed an integral fixing rod the corresponding guide rail.
- the positioning of the guide rails with respect to the other can thus be carried out quickly and precisely since it suffices to fix the cable ties to the height adequate on the uprights.
- the amounts are distributed along a wall carrying the staircase and extend between the wall and guide rails, frame, support, bent lever and the connecting rod being located on the side opposite the wall with respect to the rails guide.
- each of the ball joints preferably comprises a annular body provided with a cavity having a shaped surface spherical, as well as a ring housed in the cavity and able to pivot in it in all directions, this ring having a surface external spherical shape leaning against the surface of the cavity and a cylindrical internal surface pressing against the rail of associated guide, the annular body and the ring of each ball joint being respectively provided with slots shaped to deliver passage to the corresponding guide rail fixing rods during displacement of the frame.
- the support is preferably provided with a seat having a vertical plane of symmetry extending perpendicular to the direction of transport.
- the staircase visible in Figure 1 extends from a landing lower A and successively comprises a first part B having a determined slope, a second part C extending horizontally and a third part D having a steeper slope important than that of part B.
- It is equipped with a transport device installed along a wall M and allowing the elderly or disabilities.
- This transport device firstly comprises a rail of upper guide 1 and a lower guide rail 2 fixed under the top rail 1.
- These rails extend along the stairs and are separated one on the other by different distances according to the part of the stairs they are on. More specifically, their distance is greatest in the horizontal part C and the most weak in part D, which is steeper than part B.
- the transport device also includes a frame 3 movable along the guide rails 1, 2, a support 4 mounted on the frame 3 and on which is fixed a seat 5, conventional drive means 6 for moving the frame 3 along the rails, and trim correction means 7 holding the support 4 horizontally, and consequently the seat 5, whatever the slope of the stairs.
- drive means 6 which are not visible that in Figures 1 and 3, include an electric motor 6a intended to rotate a roller 6b bearing against the top rail 1.
- the means of attitude correction 7 include a first articulation 8 ensuring a pivoting connection between the support 4 and the frame 3, two upper ball joints 9 movable along the guide rail upper 1 and on which the frame 3 is fixed, a ball joint lower 10 movable along the lower guide rail 2, a bent arm 11 fixed at its elbow on the lower ball joint 10, a second articulation 12 ensuring a pivoting connection between the free end of the branch 11a of the bent arm 11 and the frame 3, and a connecting rod 13 connected to the support 4 by a third articulation 14 and at the free end of the branch 11b of the arm bent by a fourth articulation 15.
- joints 8, 12, 14 and 15 are horizontal and parallel to each other.
- the guide rails 1, 2 are fixed on vertical uprights 16 distributed along the stairs and provided each of two clamps 17 in each of which is immobilized a fixing rod 18 secured to the guide rail corresponding.
- the collars 17 have two screws 19 for adjusting the position of the collars along the uprights when they are unscrewed and immobilize collars in the correct positions when targeted.
- the uprights 16 extend between the wall M and the guide rails 1, 2, while the frame 3, the support 4, the bent lever 11 and the connecting rod 13 are located on the side opposite the wall M with respect to the rails guide, i.e. on the side of the part of the staircase which is borrowed by people.
- ball joints 9 and 10 which are all identical, have a annular body 20 provided with a cavity 21 comprising a surface of spherical shape, as well as a ring 22 housed in the cavity 21 and suitable for pivoting therein in all directions, the ring 22 having a spherical outer surface resting against the surface of the cavity 21 and a cylindrical internal surface leaning against the associated guide rail.
- the annular body 20 and the ring 22 of the ball joints are respectively provided with slots 23, 24 shaped to deliver passage to the fixing rods 18 of the guide rails 1, 2 during the displacement of the frame 3 along these.
- the slot 23 of the annular body 20 allows very easily introduce the ring 22 into the cavity 21. It it suffices to place the ring 22 perpendicular to the body 20 and insert it into the slot thereof, then make it rotate so that its outer surface comes against the surface of the cavity.
- seat 5 has a plan of vertical symmetry extending perpendicular to the direction transport. It is of a type known per se and therefore will not described.
- FIGS 3 to 5 clearly show the relative positions constituent elements of the attitude correction means 7 in parts B, C and D of the staircase.
- the connecting rod 13 gradually tilts to the right when the support 4 moves from part C to part B, then from part B to part D.
- the bent arm 11 pivots meanwhile gradually in the direction of arrow F shown in the figure 4.
- FIGS 3 to 5 also show that seat 5 remains horizontal whatever the position of the support 4 on the stairs.
- the displacement device includes attitude correction means particularly simple and allowing the person installed on seat 5 to go up or down the stairs safely, whatever the tilt variations that the latter can present.
