- the apparatus of the invention is associated with a machine for printing these tickets which forms the receipt or written record of a transaction such than payment by credit card. And more specifically, a particular application of this device resides in its association with a printer thermal.
- vending machines have upstream of the cutting blade a means of guiding or support of the extreme edge of the strip so that when this band is propelled (by a drive mechanism belonging in many applications to a printer) this front edge can pass over the blade.
- this guide or support is formed by a wall movable between a high position in which the extreme edge of the tape can pass the high point of the thread cut and a low position which is at the level of the low point of the cutting line. This displacement is obtained under the effect of the tensile force applied to the strip by the recipient of the ticket, causing the cutting and against a return spring which tends to bring the wall in high position.
- This moving wall can affect the shape of an articulated flap.
- the present invention relates to a ticket dispensing device at from a continuous strip of paper, each formed by an end section of this strip capable of being seized by a recipient of the ticket and detached by traction on this end, including a pinching mechanism paper along a cross line of the strip, a cutting blade substantially transverse to the strip on the cutting edge of which, when pulled above, the strip is supported, the cutting edge of the blade being formed by a segment of a secant line of the plane of the paper strip in contact with the front blade cutout containing the pinch line, the apparatus comprising also a support and guiding element for the band between the pinching mechanism and the blade section, having an area limited by a neighboring edge of the blade and an edge close to the pinching mechanism, movable between a first position in which the edge of the neighboring surface of the blade is located entirely above of the cutting edge of this blade and a second position in which this edge is located entirely below the sharp, with a return member for the guide element towards its first position, in which device the support and guide element

Indeed, in this case, the position of the hinge pin of the component as specified above, optimizes the size of this component and to balance its travel between the high point and the low point of the blade. In Besides, the blade being close to the nip line, it a secondary problem is created which is the significant variation along the cutting line at the angle that the strip at the passage of the blade under the effect of traction of the ticket recipient. This angle is relatively closed at the top of the cut and opens quickly to be at the very obtuse low point, which places the paper in very unfavorable conditions to be properly chopped off.
- the paper no longer offers much resistance to the effort of traction since its uncut width has greatly decreased and becomes sensitive to the effort exerted on it by the articulated guide flap. Thanks to the evolution of the surface of contact of the shutter with the paper when the cutout approaches the bottom point of the blade, the flap of the invention has the advantage of not being a factor of the above-mentioned angle in the vicinity of this point lower cutting.
- the cutting blade is flat and inclined so that the edge of the flap next to the cutting blade is at most close to this blade in its first position. - the axis 8 of articulation of the flap 6 is located in the plane of the guide surface 5a and is substantially parallel, either to the line of heating points, or to the axis of the capstan 1.
- the shutter 6 has an end edge 9 which is close to a cutting blade 10 and another edge 11 substantially parallel to the edge 9 which is close to the piece 5 for supporting the paper.
- the cutting blade 10 is parallel to the line of heating points and to the axis 8 of articulation of the flap to the frame of the device. It has a sharp edge (or cutting wire) 10 a which is secant from the plane of the surface 5 a, therefore from the plane which contains the strip of paper leaving the printer.
- the cutting blade 10 is arranged so that its cutting edge 10 a has a midpoint 10 d in the plane of the guide 5 which contains the axis 8. Thus, half of the cutting edge is above this plane and contains the point upper 10 c of cutting at the place where the initiation of cutting occurs when a user of the device pulls on the end of the strip which is presented to him.

- This blade 10 is finally shown inclined towards the flap; in other words the plane passing through the axis 8 and the line 3 of heating points is not perpendicular to the cutting blade so that the upper half of the cutting edge 10a of the blade is closest to the flap when it is in its state shown in Figure 1, that is to say before any cutting.
- the upper surface 7 of the shutter has two portions 7 a , 7 b .
- the portion 7 has is that which is in contact with the paper tape to the top of the blank until it reaches the vicinity of the point 10b in the middle of the blade edge 10.
- This portion 7 has the surface 7 is substantially a flat surface which passes above the axis 8.
- the paper ribbon 4 stretched by the user begins to bear on part 7 b of the surface which is formed as a sort of chamfer on the flap allowing the paper which rests on it to pass progressively under the hinge axis 8.
- FIG. 2 it can be seen that the contact of the flap with the strip 4 of paper moves away from the cutting blade as the cutting progresses.
- the area 7b of the upper surface of the shutter 6 is designed so as to allow this distance, and, moreover, to practically erase the shutter at the end of cutting to take advantage of the minimum value of the angle A imposed by the construction of the device (relative position of the cutting edge of the blade and, for example, of the exit from the guide surface 5 a ).

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a dispensing device tickets, each of them consisting of a section detached from a continuous strip of paper.
More specifically, the apparatus of the invention is associated with a machine for printing these tickets which forms the receipt or written record of a transaction such than payment by credit card. And more specifically, a particular application of this device resides in its association with a printer thermal.
There are two main variants in the machines to issue tickets: those in which the ticket is presented to the recipient detached or pre-detached of the band from which it comes, and those in which the ticket comes attached to the band and it's by a pull of it it detaches from the band passing over the sharp edge of a cutting blade. The machines according to this last variant have the advantage a static cutting device without parts in movement, therefore simplified maintenance and functioning without the need for energy to move the blade mobile cutting. On the other hand, their disadvantage lies in the absence of a cut edge for the net ticket and specific. It is often a jagged or biased edge when the ribbon was more torn than cut on a blade. Indeed, if the blade has a sharp wire instead of teeth, the difficulty arises from the initiation of the cut which must be clean and carried out whatever the pulling force on the ticket by its recipient.
The state of the art in this field includes devices in which a blade is V-shaped with a central point on which the cutting begins paper when the recipient pulls on it. However, such a blade is complex and expensive to manufacture.
It has recently been proposed to replace the blade having a V-shaped cutting wire by a blade having a cutting wire straight, cutting from the supposedly horizontal strip of paper and thus having a high point and a low point so that when you pull on the tape the contact initial of the latter with the blade operates at level from the edge of the strip to the top point of the blade where from which the tensile force is concentrated to constitute a clear cutting edge.
In general, vending machines have upstream of the cutting blade a means of guiding or support of the extreme edge of the strip so that when this band is propelled (by a drive mechanism belonging in many applications to a printer) this front edge can pass over the blade. In the case of the recent development outlined above, this guide or support is formed by a wall movable between a high position in which the extreme edge of the tape can pass the high point of the thread cut and a low position which is at the level of the low point of the cutting line. This displacement is obtained under the effect of the tensile force applied to the strip by the recipient of the ticket, causing the cutting and against a return spring which tends to bring the wall in high position. This moving wall can affect the shape of an articulated flap.
In the application of the invention relating to the issue of the printed ticket, we are looking for consumption paper minimum. Now, for a given impression, paper consumption is more or less important depending on whether the unprinted part of the ticket is more or smaller. This unprinted part depends exclusively of the distance along the path of the paper between the printer (the line of heating points in a thermal printer) of the cutting blade. One of the problems to solve is to minimize this distance while maintaining an irreproachable quality at cutting.
To solve these problems, the present invention relates to a ticket dispensing device at from a continuous strip of paper, each formed by an end section of this strip capable of being seized by a recipient of the ticket and detached by traction on this end, including a pinching mechanism paper along a cross line of the strip, a cutting blade substantially transverse to the strip on the cutting edge of which, when pulled above, the strip is supported, the cutting edge of the blade being formed by a segment of a secant line of the plane of the paper strip in contact with the front blade cutout containing the pinch line, the apparatus comprising also a support and guiding element for the band between the pinching mechanism and the blade section, having an area limited by a neighboring edge of the blade and an edge close to the pinching mechanism, movable between a first position in which the edge of the neighboring surface of the blade is located entirely above of the cutting edge of this blade and a second position in which this edge is located entirely below the sharp, with a return member for the guide element towards its first position, in which device the support and guide element is under the form of a flap articulated around a fixed axis, substantially parallel to the pinch line, located on the side of the edge of the element next to this line and extending to the vicinity of the plane containing the pinch line and the midpoint of the cutting edge of the blade while the surface support is shaped such that after about half of the cutout, the area where the shutter contacts the remaining strip to be cut away from the blade as and measurement of cutting progress.
Such a component has several advantages, in particularly in the case where the cutting blade is relatively close to the pinch line of the strip. In addition, near the bottom point, the paper no longer offers much resistance to the effort of traction since its uncut width has greatly decreased and becomes sensitive to the effort exerted on it by the articulated guide flap. Thanks to the evolution of the surface of contact of the shutter with the paper when the cutout approaches the bottom point of the blade, the flap of the invention has the advantage of not being a factor of the above-mentioned angle in the vicinity of this point lower cutting.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the cutting blade is flat and inclined so that the edge of the flap next to the cutting blade is at most close to this blade in its first position. This provision eliminates the risk of seeing the edge before the paper blade introduce itself unexpectedly between the shutter and the blade at the start of the feed advance tape may lead to jamming.
Finally, the straight cutting edge of the blade is inclined on the plane passing through the pinch line and the axis of the shutter at an angle between 8 ° and 12 °. This angle, preferably around 11 °, is the compromise value experimentally determined, which provides a cut of the ticket under the weakest traction possible and without the paper slipping without being cut towards the lowest point. Indeed, such a shift could only lead to wrinkling of the paper before this cut, which would compromise the correct emission of the next ticket.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description given below at title purely indicative of an embodiment of a apparatus for issuing printed tickets.

At the exit of the printer, the paper is supported and guided by the
The
La surface supérieure 7 du volet présente deux
portions 7a, 7b.
5a).The
