Abstract

Mit dem Zerstäuber wird eine beliebige Flüssigkeit diskontinuierlich zerstäubt. Die zerstäubte Flüssigkeit ist zum Niederschlagen auf einer Fläche geeignet. Der Zerstäuber enthält eine als Druckfeder wirkende Schraubenfeder, Tellerfeder oder Gasfeder als Energiespeicher sowie einen Zylinder und einen Kolben, zwei Kanäle und zwei Ventile. Das Zerstäuben kann durch Auslösen eines Sperrmechanismus manuell eingeleitet werden.
Der Energiespeicher befindet sich außerhalb des Vorratsbehälters für die Flüssigkeit. Dem Energiespeicher kann mechanische Energie manuellzugeführtwerden. Die gespeicherte Energie übt über den Kolben einen Druck auf die im Zylinder befindliche Flüssigkeit aus, der von 1 MPa bis 5 MPa (von 10 bar bis 50 bar) beträgt.
Die Verteilung der Tröpfchengröße im zerstäubten Strahl ist unabhängig von der Erfahrung und dem Verhalten der den Zerstäuber betätigenden Person; sie kann reproduzierbar eingestellt werden. Der mittlere Tröpfchendurchmesser ist kleiner als 50 Mikrometer. Der Massenstrom der Flüssigkeit durch die Düse beträgt weniger als 0,4 g/s.
Aufbau und Funktion des Zerstäubers können an die Eigenschaften der Flüssigkeit, an die vorgesehene Verwendung und an die günstigste Handhabung angepaßt werden.
