Fig. 3 zeigt die Ansicht von der Außenseite der Duschtrennwand im geschlossenen Zustand des Türelements 4 in Blickrichtung auf den mittels der Duschtrennwand vom Außenraum abgetrennten Innenraum über einer Duschwanne oder dergleichen. Im Bereich der Längskanten 6, 8 sind hier nicht weiter dargestellte Dichtungselemente, insbesondere in Form von elastisch nachgiebigen Dichtleisten oder dergleichen vorgesehen, um ein Durchtreten von Spritzwasser vom Duschinnenraum in den Außenraum zu unterbinden. Mittels der Kopplungskörper 52, 54 der beiden vertikal übereinander angeordneten Scharniere wird gewährleistet, daß beim Schwenken des Türelements 4 gemäß der Pfeile 60, 62 eine synchrone Bewegung erfolgt und das Türelement 4 vertikal ausgerichtet bleibt und somit ein Abkippen aus der vertikalen Position unterbunden wird. Befindet sich gemäß Fig. 4 das Türelement 4 in der gleichen vertikalen Ebene wie das Wandelement 2, so ist der Duschinnenraum 66 vom Duschaußenraum 64 abgetrennt. Zum Öffnen der Duschtrennwand bzw. des gemäß Figur rechts befindlichen Durchgangsbereiches der Duschtrennwand kann das Türelement 4 sowohl in den Außenraum 64 als auch in den Innenraum 66 hineingeschwenkt werden, und zwar bis jeweils maximal in die gestrichelt angedeuteten Positionen gemäß der mittels der Pfeile 60 bzw. 62 angedeuteten Schwenkwinkel von 180°. Hierdurch wird die Handhabung und die Benutzung der Duschtrennwand erheblich verbessert, zumal das Türelement 4 aus dem Durchtrittsbereich vollständig herausgeschwenkt werden kann und ein Benutzer somit ungehindert in den Duschinnenraum gelangen bzw. diesen wieder verlassen kann. Auch zur Wartung und Reinigung der Duschtrennwand ist der große Schwenkwinkelbereich des Türelements 4 von erheblicher Bedeutung. Der Verbindungskörper 42, gleiches gilt natürlich für die anderen Verbindungskörper, ist aus der geschlossenen Position bzw. Ruheposition, und zwar bezüglich des Scharnierbolzens 34 des Wandelements 2 um 45° geschwenkt. Es sei festgehalten, daß aufgrund der oben erläuterten Kopplungskörper 52, 54 die Schwenkbewegungen sämtlicher Verbindungskörper des oberen und des unteren Scharniers synchron verlaufen und im Ergebnis das Türelement 4 die vertikale Ausrichtung unabhängig von der jeweiligen Schwenkpostion beibehält. Des weiteren sei darauf hingewiesen, daß die Außenkontur der Teile bzw. Endteile des Verbindungskörpers 42 derart abgerundet bzw. kreisförmig ausgebildet sind, daß die ineinandergreifenden Außenverzahnungen 56, 58 der Kopplungskörper 52, 54 zumindest näherungsweise überdeckt sind. Ein Einklemmen von Fremdkörpern, eines Badetuchs oder dergleichen wird somit in vorteilhafter Weise verhindert. Fig. 6 zeigt eine besondere Ausgestaltung der erfindungsgemäßen Trennwand bzw. deren Scharnier, wobei im Unterschied zu dem oben erläuterten Ausführungsbeispiel die Kopplungskörper 52, 54 keine Außenverzahnungen für die Zwangskopplung enthalten, sondern ein flexibles Band 68 vorgesehen ist. Das flexible Band 68 besteht aus einem derartigen flexiblen Werkstoff, daß Biegungen quer zu seiner Längserstreckung durchführbar sind, jedoch die Länge zwischen seinen Enden 70, 72 erfindungsgemäß unverändert beibehalten wird. Das flexible Band 68 besteht insbesondere aus Kunststoff, doch kann es ohne weiteres aus einem flexiblen Gewebe, aus Drähten, einem Stahlband oder dergleichen hergestellt sein. Die gemäß Zeichnung verdickt ausgeführten Enden 70, 71 sind in Längsnuten 72, 74 angeordnet, welche bevorzugt im wesentlichen parallel zu den Scharnierbolzen 34, 35 verlaufen. Die Kopplungskörper 52, 54 besitzen zu den Scharnierbolzen 34, 35 koaxiale zumindest teilweise zylindrische Außenflächen 76, 78, an welchen das flexible Band 68 entsprechend der jeweiligen Schwenkposition des Türelements 4 bezüglich des Wandelements 2 anliegt, Die einander zugewandten zylindrischen Außenflächen der Kopplungskörper 52, 54 erstrecken sich jeweils über Winkel von im wesentlichen 180°. Wie ersichtlich, entspricht der Abstand der Achsen der Scharnierbolzen 34, 35 zumindest näherungsweise dem doppelten Radius der Kopplungskörper 52, 54 und der Dicke des flexiblen Bandes. Claims (4)

  1. A separating wall, in particular a shower screen, comprising a wall element (2) and a door element (4) that can be swiveled relative thereto via two hinges spaced apart in a vertical direction, wherein the hinges contain two hinge elements (24, 26) joined with the wall element (2) on the one hand and the door element (4) on the other, wherein the wall element (2) and door element (4) are preferably designed as frameless plates, and have essentially vertically aligned longitudinal edges (6, 8) that face each other in the area of the hinges, wherein the wall element (2) and door element (4) each exhibit open recesses (12, 14) toward their longitudinal edge (6, 8), wherein the hinge elements (24, 26) have bearing bodies (28, 29) with a hinge bolt (34, 35) that at least partially engage into the allocated recess (12, 14) of the door element (12) and wall element (14), and wherein at least one connecting body (42, 43) is provided that is situated at least partially in a recess (44, 46) of the bearing body (30, 31) and pivotably coupled with the respective hinge bolt (34, 35) of the hinge element (28, 29) allocated to the wall element (2) or door element (4), wherein the two hinge elements (24, 26) have a hinge plate (28, 29) that abuts against the outer surface of the wall element (2) or door element (4) and covers the respective recess (12, 14) of the door element (12) and wall element (14), and exhibit a cover plate (36, 37) arranged on the opposing sides of the wall element (2) or door element (4), and wherein the hinge elements (24, 26) containing the hinge plates (28, 29) and bearing bodies (30, 31) have U-shaped recesses (44, 46) open toward the longitudinal edge (6, 8), and the cover plates (36, 37) have U-shaped recesses (48, 50) open toward the longitudinal edge (6, 8), wherein the hinge plate (28, 29) and cover plate (36, 37) are joined by connecting elements (38, 39), and wherein the wall element (2) and door element (4) are rigidly secured between the mentioned hinge element (24, 26) and the cover plate (36, 37), and wherein the wall element (2) and door element (4) exhibit boreholes (20, 22) into which engage projections (40, 41) of the hinge plates (28, 29), the outer diameter of which is a prescribed amount smaller than the inner diameter of the boreholes (20, 22), wherein the connecting elements designed as screws (38, 39) are screwed into the projections (40, 41), and wherein the connecting body (42, 43) is essentially situated inside the recess (44, 46) of the hinge elements (24, 26) and the recess (48, 50) of the cover plate (36, 37),
    characterized in that the hinge element (24, 26) exhibit operatively engaged coupling bodies (52, 54) of a kind that prescribes a defined path of movement for the two hinges vertically spaced apart from each other and the coupling bodies (52, 54) exhibit intermeshing outer teeth (56, 58) or are coupled by a flexible band (68) in such a way that a synchronized movement is prescribed for the two provided hinges vertically spaced apart from each other, and the door element (4) remains vertically aligned,
    that the coupling bodies (52, 54) are arranged in the direction of the respectively allocated hinge bolt (34, 35) between two provided connecting bodies (42, 43), wherein the hinge bolt (34, 35) penetrates through the connecting bodies (42, 43) and coupling body (52, 54), and is fixed in place with its two ends in the bearing body (30, 31),
    that coupling bodies (52, 54) abut with an abutment surface parallel to the hinge bolts (34, 35) against an opposing abutment surface of the respective bearing body (30, 31), and are arranged in a torque-proof manner relative to the hinge plate (28 or 29),
    that the coupling bodies (52, 54) are situated essentially inside the recess (44, 46) of the hinge elements (24, 26), as well as the recess (48, 50) of the cover plate (36, 37),
    and that the boreholes (20, 22) in a horizontal direction from the recesses (12, 14) of the door element (2) and wall element (4) are arranged at a prescribed distance (16, 18) relative to the longitudinal edges (6, 8).
  2. The separating wall according to claim 1, characterized in that the bearing body (30, 31) is rigidly secured with the cover plate (36, 37) via connecting elements (38, 39), which are designed in particular as screws.
  3. The separating wall according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the recess (12, 14) in the wall element (2) or door element (4) has a contour that is open toward the longitudinal edge (6 or 8) and preferably essentially U-shaped, and/or that the recess (44, 46) in the hinge element (24, 26) has an open design relative to the respectively opposing hinge element (26, 24), and preferably exhibits an essentially U-shaped contour.
