Abstract

L'invention concerne une installation de traction par câble pour véhicules (1, 11, 16, 23), comprenant un dispositif pour accoupler des véhicules à un câble de traction à mouvement continu (36) et les désaccoupler dudit câble. Les véhicules peuvent ainsi être déplacés le long d'une trajectoire, en particulier le long de rails (34, 35), dans des zones de station où lesdits véhicules sont désaccouplés du câble de traction. Des organes de ralentissement et d'accélération sont prévus pour agir sur le véhicule en ralentissant ou accélérant sa vitesse. Selon la présente invention, chaque véhicule est équipé, au niveau d'au moins une de ses parties, d'au moins un induit (2, 7, 12, 17, 24, 30, 31, 32, 37, 41). La ligne de ralentissement, et de préférence la ligne d'accélération, est dotée d'au moins un inducteur électromagnétique (3, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 19, 21, 33, 34, 35, 38, 42) agissant conjointement avec l'induit du véhicule le long de la trajectoire de désaccouplement du câble du véhicule.
